Historic Air’s cottage was absolutely delightful, perfectly situated to explore the township of Penola. Wonderful attention to historic detail, collections of antiquity and quirky surprises. Jen had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. The entertaining area outside was great and the garden well tended. Thank you Jen, we really enjoyed our stay.

We found Air’s Cottage to be clean, inviting & very conveniently located. We cooked a bbq dinner & ate our meal in the back yard ‘Summer House’ on our 1st night! On our 2nd night we ate at The Royal Hotel, which is only a short walk from Air’s Cottage.During our 2nd day in Penola we walked to nearby Petticoat Lane, to view a collection of National Trust cottages & a well cared for National Trust Herb garden!We also visited a few Coonawarra wineries, which are all a very short drive away!

The host was there when we arrived and was helpful showing us aro uh nd and ensuring we got entry. Well set, clean and sympathetically styled to match this original cottage. Host kindly provided wood. Good quality linen, plenty of towels. Just lovely to have a garden and outside spaces to sit. Would strongly recommend this home stay.

The house and garden are absolutely adorable. The house is beautifully decorated and provides an excellent base for visiting the vineyards of Coonawarra and the town of Penola. The garden is delightful and we spent our afternoons and evenings sitting in one of the many seating areas enjoying the flowers and sunshine.

It was a delight to stay three nights at Air's Cottage, Penola. It could not have been more welcoming. The cottage has been beautifully preserved and renovated. It has modern amenities and is very comfortable. I would highly recommend Air's Cottage to anyone I know who might visit and stay in Penola.

Delightful heritage retreat

This property was perfect for the four of us for a wedding weekend in Penola. Plenty of room, great wifi for a late Friday afternoon video call and a functional and tidy kitchen. Wish we had more time to enjoy the outdoor kitchen/hut - looks like the perfect spot for a cheese board and some local wines. Great communication, allowed an early check-in for my meeting and responsive when we had questions throughout the stay. Would recommend.

A great little getaway

A charming cottage with expansive, beautiful gardens that our dog loved exploring. Well positioned, with the ability to walk to the local pubs - both of which put on a fantastic meal. Easy drive to the wineries and a comfortable place to come back to at the end of a busy day exploring the region. Jen was also really great to deal with.

An historic gem.

The cottage is exceptional. Quirky, expertly modernised but with its history well to the fore. We stayed for a few days and enjoyed Penola and surrounds. St Mary's distillery is well worth a visit.
