From the point of contact to enquire about staying overnight, Jay was quite hospitable & friendly. He assisted us to locate the place as it was quite late at night. He was very hospitable and even made us some rosemary tea on arrival. The dorm was comfortable, spacious and clean. The breakfast was good and the coffee even better. Jay was a great host who went above & beyond to ensure that we enjoyed our experience. If ur looking for warmth, hospitality & service in a breathtaking environment... go to Jay's. Thank you Jay!

Me and my brother went to the blue mountains and stater at Jay's guest house. Jay and his family was really kind and welcoming. The food was all homegrown and homecooked, and it tasted amazing. The guest house had a beautiful view, and i would recommend anyone visiting the blue mountains to stay at Jay's.

Jay’s guesthouse is really the place if you want to see the Blue Mountains. The view from its location is beautiful, and it is ‘close’ to the mountain peak. The place got everything you need and it is such a relaxing place. For breakfast and dinner they served us really good Jamaican food made out of local goods and fruits from their own garden. Jay and his family are the nicest people and they are so welcoming. If you want to experience some of the real Jamaica then Jay’s guesthouse is definitely the place to go!

Jay’s Guest House is a true home away from home. Everyone is very kind & welcoming & home cooked meals were provided ($) daily. I took the route taxi to Mavis Bank & then had Jay pick me up. Accommodations are basic & very clean. Walking from here to the trail head will take you about 1 hour or you can have Jay drive you ($). The only thing missing is a hammock outside & this place would be perfect!

I definitely recommend staying at Jay's whether or not you plan on hiking Blue Mountain Peak. One of the best parts was how Jay and his family will work with you to cater your experience exactly as you'd like. If you want to get out and do a lot of exploring - you can, if you want to lounge around in the mountains and read all day - you can do that too. The guest house & bathrooms are very clean, and the food & hospitality are excellent. Hope to be back someday, thank you again for an unforgettable stay in the Blue Mountains.

very lovely stay, the food is excellent, view is spectacular from the roof top. Rooms were clean and comfortable. It was very nice to meet the owner JAY, he's very pleasant we are grateful for the hospitality. Breakfast was amazing, they have the best coffee! perfect place if you need to get away in the mountains.

A little home amidst the mountains, where Jay and his family welcomed us with open arms. Great views, close to the trail head (we did the full 27km trail to and fro starting from Jay's guest house, you can start closer to the trail head and ask Jay to drop you). Highlight for me was the food, I am a vegetarian and they took great care to make sure every meal of mine is a great meal. It is a down to earth place with basic amenities, great to give you the right experience of living with nature. Overall me and my husband loved our time at Jay's! Thanks Jay!

My girlfriend and I stayed at Jay's for 3 nights and 4 days - our experience was excellent in all areas. Having traveled to Jamaica many times in the past to visit family, I had never been to the Blue Mountain region prior to this trip. The mountainous scenery is humbling and the plants are beautiful. At Jay's house the majority of food (and coffee!) is sourced from his own garden, allowing for fresh and delicious meals. The community is tightly knit, and in our short trip we met many friendly and helpful local people. In terms of activities, the highlights were the climb up Blue Mountain Peak and swimming in the nearby river. Jay runs his Guest House very smoothly and was quick to help us with any inquiries or issues we had. Overall, I highly recommend staying at Jay's Guest House while visiting the Blue Mountains in Jamaica! - Daniel A.

It's so gergous, rooms are clean but for what you get definitely over priced. I've been to Jamaica 3 times and was sad to see how they trying to over charge and make money off everything you do. The weed literally grows right there on the hill but if you want to buy it the price is through the roof lol. Nowhere in Jamaica they charge you this much. Food was amazing BUT the coffee thing... First of all, the coffee would just get served, they wouldnt ask whether we want the coffee or not and wouldn't warn that it is $3 a cup. My friend doesnt drink coffee and still got charged... ASK! and also warn that it costs because you already paying for food and some hidden coffee costs??? not nice. The shop they have there is mad over priced but when you need water you really have no choice. Also it's quite far from the beginning of the trail but if you want a drop off you have to pay more than expected. Anyway whatever you do there will cost you which left this not very nice feeling. Even though over all it's such a beautiful place with chill vibe amazing food and nice hosts, it feels like all they care about is money really. I loved my experience still but not all tourists are ready to be stripped off like that, especially the ones that been to Jamaica before and know real prices. THanks anyway.

Wake up to the smell off freshly roasted coffee and enjoy the amaizing view over the mountains. Jay and his family opened their home to us and took good care of us. The homemade food is amazing and the vibe is very chill. Sorry for not writing in the guestbook. Lots of love from Monika and Daniel from Norway!
