Is only 4.5 miles from La Fortuna, San Carlos, Alajuela (10 min drive). Casa Arboleda has a patio and mountain views. It has views of the river behind the house (there is a path to go to the river) and free super fast 200mps WiFi throughout the property. This house is equipped with 3 bedrooms (all with A/C), 60" Smart TV with free Netflix, there is also a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, private parking for up to 3 cars. The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens and trees in its area back, there is a river that is relatively close to the house, there is an access to go to it. The staff is available to help at the reception 24 hours. Guests can relax in the garden at the back, It is a really good for observing a variety of birds, other animals and trees just a few meters from the house.The Cambronero family lives next door to Casa Arboleda, in an apartment.We will be at your disposal if you need any help.

Fantastic home in a good location. The outside area was amazing...we enjoyed eating and relaxing there. The host was amazing as well (and daughter Pamela as well)...one of the nicest families we have ever met. The house provides a true Costa Rican adventure with some of the indoor and outdoor creatures that come with it. We loved it!

We had a wonderful stay at Arboleda’s House – By the River, Forest & Gardens. The setting is peaceful and lush, with the river, forest, and gardens creating a relaxing place to unwind after busy adventure days. The location is excellent—close to everything but still quiet and private.It was just a short drive to the chocolate tour at Don Jorge Chocolate Tour, which was a highlight of our trip. There’s also a great pizzería just up the street, making meals easy and convenient.We booked rappelling and white water rafting with Maquique Adventure Canyoning and Rafting, and it was absolutely fantastic—professional guides, exciting runs, and an unforgettable experience.Overall, this stay was the perfect home base for exploring La Fortuna. Comfortable, well-located, and surrounded by nature. We’d happily stay here again.

This is the cutest property. The outdoor area brought a lot of family time. We loved it. The area was so clean and the sound of the creek was soothing. My only suggestion would be to provide an additional trash bag and paper towels a family of six went through a lot very quickly. Thank you for sharing your home!

You are booking this place because of the nice backyard and it is a very nice backyard. Otherwise the listing does not live up to expectations. There are ants everywhere. In the bedrooms the ‘closets’ are cheap wire racks screwed to the walls, cheap furniture throughout with some it held together with random screws, many electrical outlets do not work, bathroom mirrors are ornamental with actual mirror the size of a side plate and hung at about 5 ft (good luck if you are taller than that. Oh and open electrical in the showers and the master bathroom door has no handle and pretends to use a safety chain to lock it. It’s not a bad stay but by no means a 10/10.

Excellent home close to many things

Backyard was the highlight of this house, on the river and very lush. Felt like you were in your own jungle back there. Very close to town, but hard to walk in dark. Front porch also fun to watch the storms come in. Close to many hikes/parks. We loved our hike at Mirador el Silencio - probably our favorite of the trip in the pouring rain! Think we did all the trails in there.

Nice Place

The home was clean and well stocked with basic necessities which was appreciated. The owner was easy to get in touch with. The beds were comfortable with lots of pillows and blankets. The only things I didnt like were the showers didnt get warm at all and there were a lot of tiny ants in the kitchen, making it hard to prepare food. Other than that, we had a very nice time. The backyard is beautiful with the river and lots of plants.

We stayed at this property for three nights in February. A bottle of wine was waiting on the table when we arrived, such a nice touch. It is a lovely and immaculate three-bedroom home. It has adequate kitchen utensils for a short stay. It has a beautiful back yard, half of it covered to protect from the rain and tastefully decorated with quality patio furniture, a hammock, and a really nice dining area with table and chairs and barbecue. If we weren’t so busy we would have enjoyed spending more time there, even when it was pouring rain. The walk down to the little river at the back is very steep and not easily accessible for individuals who are not fit. We saw some little red frogs on our trek down to the bottom, which was great. The property is several kilometres from the heart of downtown Fortuna and a vehicle is needed. As seniors we didn’t feel comfortable walking down to the grocery store a short distance away because of the sidewalk condition, especially at night. As others mentioned, heavy vehicles and motorcycles sped by at night, which was not pleasant. We would stay again if we returned, knowing the home and surrounding area conditions, including the traffic noise at night.

Merveilleux!!

Très bel endroit avec grande cours arrière privée et ruisseau. Espace extérieur super agréable. Nous y avons vu plusieurs oiseaux et même un petit paresseux qui se nourrissait dans un arbre derrière la maison! Intérieur très confortable, tout y était pour notre confort! Pamela nous a reçu à notre arrivée et était disponible pour toutes questions dans la maison voisine, La maison est tout près du centre de La Fortuna et nous avions une petite épicerie ainsi qu’un excellent resto (soda pour les Costaricains) à quelques pas de chez nous. Je recommande fortement cet endroit!! J’ai tout simple,est adoré.,Merci Dinora et Pamela pour cet excellent séjours

Staying at Dinorah's property was an overall good experience and I can recommend it to others. House is very clean and convenient. Backyard is a jewel. Dinorah is a great host, responding quickly via WhatsUp and helping you with advises around local places, if you have any issues within the house and even help us to dry our closes and towels. The only inconvenience we had was a noise from the road from the big trucks breaking with their engines every late evenings and nights, or powerful motorcycles, because there is a speed bump nearby. And the shower can be improved. It was barely warm. Otherwise everything else was very good.

Wonderful home look no further!

Perfect jungle home

This was a beautiful house to start our vacation off at. The host was always available if we had any questions or concerns. Very roomy and very clean. We even saw a monkey in the tree and some frogs in the creek below the house. Started off every morning out back on the patio with the perfect view.

Stay in La Fortuna Area

We loved the property. The river behind was a nice addition to the house. We enjoyed hopping around on the rocks and seeing wildlife. My daughter is a biology major so she loved hunting for frogs and lizards in the yard. The house was nice and clean. The only thing that I would want to improve is the hot water situation. It would only get a little warm.

It's not located in La Fortuna downtown area so expect to drive a bit to local sites. There's a grocery store a few homes down which was very convenient. The home was comfortable and met our needs. Would have loved warm water for the shower but it was hot out so the cool water was ok. A/C worked very well. Felt very safe and the hosts being nearby was reassuring. We had no issues come up during our stay. The backyard is beautiful and we enjoyed breakfast in the green setting. The small river behind the house was the highlight of the whole property. We spent our last morning in what felt like a private waterfall pool. Truly lovely!

We loved this property! It is so peaceful & serene w a friendly visiting cat. It was the perfect place to stay for all adventures in La Fortuna area. We loved that it was right outside of town so we weren’t in the hustle & bustle of everything but we were near everything that it was a short drive away. The backyard is so perfect & you can walk down to the creek behind. We are outside every am & I rocked myself into a couple naps in the hammock. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely home in La Fortuna

Our two families stayed here while visiting the area, and found this to be the perfect place for us! The location was great---quiet neighborhood, but walking distance to a small supermarket. lovely outdoor space. Basic kitchen had everything we needed. Owner was very responsive and helpful if we had any questions. One tip: I would map it to Restaurante Abigail and use waze app when trying to find it. the house is just down the road from the restaurant, which is next to the Super el abuelo (sometimes hard to find on map app).
