This 17th century château Les Pesquies, set in the middle of the breathtaking beauty of the wine country Languedoc-Roussillon, offers a stunning setting for large family groups, work training events, cycling and hiking groups. With it's 900 m2 there is room for up to 24 people.
The history of Les Pesquies goes back to before the revolution. After the revolution there was a "Noble" living at Les Pesquies who served in the army of King Louis XVlll and Charles X.
Today the Chateau is owned by a Dane, who grows the surrounding land with organic crops.
Les Pesquies and the region has a lot to offer. You can choose to spend the day at Les Pesquies enjoying the calm atmosphere and stunning nature.Have fun in the pool or relax in the park and enjoy the panoramic view of the pyrenees. If you wish, you can fish in the lake next to the chateau or play table tennis or basketball.
You can buy your food at one of the many local markets and prepare it either in the kitchen of the chateau, or in the summer kitchen next to the pool.Where you want to enjoy your meals is up to you, it's possible in the chateau, next to the pool or in front of the chateau.

On request a cook can create a delicate French meal for you served with exquisite locale wine. A wine tasting session can be arranged as well. The Danish owner will be more than happy to accommodate any request you may have.

You might want to explore the region with it's Cathar Castles, the medieval villages, the vibrancy of the traditional markets and the local fetes. The area is steeped in history and renowned for outstanding food and wine.

If you enjoy a more active vacation you can go high tree walking, do white water rafting, hike in the pyrenees or go for a bike ride in the hilly surrounding countryside on the chateau's mountain bikes.

Located between the historical town's of "La Ville Rose" of Toulouse and the world famous medieval fortified city of Carcassonne, (both 60 km) the property is of easy access via both of these airports with low cost flights arriving.

Lovely and relaxing stay, really well equipped for large groups to get away. Nothing fussy so an ideal choice for a large group with children - plenty of bits to explore and space to run around. Christian was really helpful and quick to respond to any questions, including introduction to chef Alain. Rafting near Foix recommended and a trip to Mirepoix market and the Carcassonne light show.

Our stay was really pleasant and the facilities good. Spacious rooms and a big kitchen with all necessary equipment. The swimming pool is also very good and the outdoor facilities. The check-in was relaxed with the owner at the property and easy to get extra information if needed.

Fantastic Summer Week

This is a great place ran by a gentleman who cares. It is not the most modern, but more so than the photos suggest and it works! We were a group of 19 and it worked really well. The pool is much bigger than it looks on the photos and deep enough to dive, the grounds are magnificent. The chateau is large a d each room commensurately so. Most of all the host is thoroughly decent, honest, quick to communicate and react. Massively recommend

Beautiful property - wonderful holiday. Christian very relaxed and helpful. Great venue for a decent sized group. Recommend Mirepoix for supplies, eating out and market. A little further afield is canyoning in the Pyrenees - superb!

Lovely holiday destination for large group

Our large group loved exploring Christian’s château. L'endroit parfait pour les grands groupes d'amis ! / The perfect place for big groups !

Nous sommes arrivés au Chateau en fin d'après-midi, Christian nous a acceuilli chez lui avec toute sa gentillesse et son attention. Les chambres sont immenses et les parties communes très bien adaptées aux groupes. Le jardin est génial et la grange parfaite pour la musique ! La piscine est immense.

Parfait à tous égards …

Ces vacances familiales - 24 personnes de 4 à 77 ans - aux Pesquiié ont été excellentes. A l’abri des grands axes de circulation et des touristes, isolé en pleine nature, dans une fort belle campagne, valonnées, où ondulent les tournesols, le chateau des Pesquiés est charmant, très spacieux et parfaitement équipé. En outre, son propriétaire, est d’une très grande discrétion, mais disponible et efficace lorsque l’on a besoin de lui. C’est un homme très sociable, ouvert, chaleureux et sympathique comme son compagnon Odin, un labrador, jamais gênant qui cohabite harmonieusement avec les enfants de tous âges. Si nous le pouvons, nous reviendrons san doute.

Très bon sejour

Nous avons apprécié la gentillesse de notre hôte et le château est très spacieux nous n'avons manqué de rien, équipements, vaisselle.. etc.. les pièces sont spacieuses ! La piscine est tres bien aussi ! un éclairage plus fort dans la salle a manger serait neammoins appréciable pour dîner le soir .

Des vacances enchantées.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans ce lieu magique. Un grand merci à Christian pour son chaleureux accueil. Swimmingpoolen grøn da vi ankom, først på 3 dag nogenlunde algefri. El er gammel (farlig?) og mangelfuld, og flere lamper i vores værelser uden lys. En dårlig oplevelse - især prisen taget i betragtning

La vraie vie de château !

Venus à 6 familles, 24 dont 11 adultes et 13 enfants avec un bébé, nous avons passé une super semaine aux Pesquiés: château très vaste, de grandes chambres pour tout le monde, très spacieuses, lumineuses, des salles de bain partout... Et surtout, un vrai chateau, avec des petits et grands salons, un escalier majestueux, une vaste cuisine très bien équipée. Nous avons apprécié la piscine (très bien sécurisée), le ping-pong, le barbecue (énorme), le baby-foot, la giga-table en bois extérieure pour les magnifiques couchers de soleil, et aussi la gentillesse de Christian, le propriétaire, présent et discret, toujours prêt à aider et conseiller. Un super souvenir!
