Beautiful view, Well-equipped
The cottage was more than comfortable for two couples. We enjoyed using the outdoor BBQ and gorgeous pool most of all. Great place to just unwind. The property is remote—but plenty of charming towns within a 15-30 minute drive away.

It was a hot several days and the beautiful pool and shade umbrellas were very appreciated. The kitchen was well appointed, the bed was comfortable. 2 little trays of ice in the freezer. The washer is very small, but effective. There is no forced air AC, system is geothermal and was comfortable at night due to the cooler nights. I don’t know about mid-summer. No dryer but a clothesline outside. Overall a very nice cottage in a secluded area. Important to plan ahead any siteseeing, it is not an easy location.

A beautiful setting.
A stunning location. Endless views, peaceful and easy comfort. A spectacular pool, better than most resorts. All the conveniences of home and exceeding our expectations. Short drives to San Gimiano and Sienna. The nearby town of Ghizano it a surprise in itself. We can’t wait to return.

Fantastic week!
Very easy rental process and a beautiful property. Very difficult to get to as it’s a long and winding dirt/gravel road with not a lot of signage. But well worth it!
Anna was extremely helpful and informative. Had some great recommendations as well. More pillows/pillow options would be nice but that’s minor in the scheme of things.
Would definitely return if travel plans allowed.

Stunning property, super clean, comfortable beds and pillows, high-end everything, breathtaking vistas and pool, lovely and charming Anna was so helpful. Will absolutely come back again one day, and will recommend this place without reservation to everyone I know.

Fantastic villa in a great setting
We loved our stay at Monte Casone. We stayed at the Moraiolo villa and it was lovely. The villa was really nicely decorated and the location is fantastic. We enjoyed the private patio, BBQ, the pool and mostly the fabulous views! The area is very quiet and we enjoyed the tranquillity and the sunsets and sunrises looking over the Tuscan hills were fantastic..
There's a long gravel road that leads up to the villas but it proved pretty easy to navigate. It's still only about 15 minutes from a selection of good restaurants and 45 minutes from Volterra, San Gimignano and Pisa.
The only minor downside that I'd mentioned are that the beds were a little firm for our taste but that only is a tiny matter. Overall, we thought it was an absolutely fantastic place that we'd definitely be back to stay again.

Beautiful spot to get away and relax, enjoy beautiful countryside.
My group of 3 stayed for 3 nights in early June and would love to have stayed longer. Location is even more beautiful than pictures displayed. We had the separate cottage, and it was immaculate. We enjoyed the pool and patio area to the side very much, especially to watch sunsets.
Lisa and Nick met us right as we arrived at about 4 pm and were very helpful and friendly, offering advice or any assistance we needed getting situated. We did ask for some recommendations and directions later, and they were super helpful and we very much enjoyed meeting them.
We arrived in Florence by train from Rome and rented a car to drive to Monte Casone. We had no troubles navigating or finding our way, although we had read where some people thought getting in and out of Florence was difficult. GPS took us right to Monte Casone without a hitch.
We'd recommend taking an afternoon or so and driving to Volterra. It's located up high and offers some beautiful views of the countryside, as well as nice walking and exploring while visiting.
We'd love to return and bring more family members with us, it was such a wonderful location and experience.
