This was my 5th visit to this resort. I go because I like the pool - and I like the new suites (not the old ones). unfortunately when I turned up they told me its under new management, the pool is no longer theirs, and the suites are GONE! had they informed me before travel I would have cancelled. So the famous pool is still being advertised as theirs - when its not. It belongs to single fin bar next door and is now more like a beach club. hotel guests are allowed to use the pool for free - however its horrible. its just young people drinking and loud music -- and of course the japanese weddings every 5 minutes. note - the inland pool that belongs to the hotel is actually lovely and quiet. it just doesn't have that epic view! So any suites or villas have gone ! ?? weird. another fire perhaps ?? the super old building inland is still there with the gross old rooms. they are cheap - but disgusting. don't stay in these. it seems there are a couple of buildings left of the new suites (maybe 8 suites in total) (they are goergous) - BUT WOW they are are far away! too far in the heat! The reception area is still lovely, as is the buffet breakfast (wow that view). Staff at reception as usual are rude. its the language barrier that seems like they are being rude. but its also that they seem unhappy and not willing to help, they couldn't give a damn if ur happy or not! AS FOR THE MANAGER - WHAT AN UNPROFESSIONAL RUDE INDIVIDUAL! I couldn't walk that far to my room as I have MS and he was horrible. My only option to was to downgrade significantly to a closer room but he refused to refund any price difference, It was a total disaster and ended with me in tears! Visit Single Fin, Suluban beach, and the village for a day trip is my recommendation. And finally, this is the first time I have encountered the monkey problem here. It is a serious problem. Sitting on my balcony I was startled by a family of monkeys coming at me showing their teeth. I luv monkeys but was petrified as they came in my room. I threw shoes in their direction and was finally able to close my doors. these stayed closed the whole time! Geez if one of these bites or scratches you ur in trouble!
Spacious clean room, great breakfast. Superb views. Great vibe around the bottom pool overlooking the sunset. More quiet option at top pool. Staff were amazing. The kids loved it. Top location. Can’t wait to visit again 😊😊
My partner stayed here over a year ago and his room was awesome and cheap! But unfortunately these great rooms had recently burnt down. My partner, a group of friends and myself all stayed at blue point for 4 nights. My partner and I arrived late at night and our room was filthy! The bathroom was disgusting, wasn’t cleaned at all! There was blood down the sides of the toilet. The beds were uncomfortable. We complained about the room being dirty the next morning and they kindly changed our room and upgraded us to a much nicer room. Great location, nice pool, average food. Still over rated and pricey for what it included. Our friend stayed at La Bombie next door and it was half the price with just as nice, if not better facilities. Probably won’t stay here again
We stayed here for 2 nights....great location.....fantastic sunsets.....great infinity pool..... nice buffet breakfast included & we received a free pizza for lunch....room was nice & clean...We will definitely stay here next time 🙂
Was initially excited for this hotel in Uluwatu but dissapointed! The room was very big which was nice, but we booked a sea view junior suite with king size bed & got a partial sea view with twin beds! Our jetted tub wasn't working and when we asked for it to be fixed they said it would take a week for the part to come! Really wasn't impressed with the facilities! There was dust and cobwebs everywhere & food on door handles, & old soap trapped in the sink draws! The taps in the bathroom were wrong, you had to turn it to hot for it to be cold! I told reception and they said nothing but gave us a free meal in the restaurant. We went for our 'free meal' & found out drinks were not included and only got the choice of food from a menu that was limited to 5 different meals! Deserts were extra but I ordered one and it was given to me halfway through my main course? I Then had no room to put my plate to eat my desert so ended up putting it on the floor! We were the only people in the whole restaurant and with about 6/7 staff to attend to us they were not where to be seen half the time? I just think for the price we paid it was unacceptable what we received! Im not a picky person but it just spoilt our trip. Got woken up at 7am every morning by balinese singing - which I love the culture but too early. Was also woken up by a lawnmower at 8am the next day! Pool was great. The staff that delivered our room service one night was so lovely! Great for Surfing, but hotel not up to standard.
My husband and I stayed here with our baby (1 year old) for a week and are overall very happy with the experience. Pros: nice grounds, open spaces for baby to run around, great views, close to the surf (critical for surfing couples), spa services are good, breakfast is excellent, restaurant has epic views and decent prices, friendly staff, close walking proximity to other restaurants, there is a second pool that you can hang out at if the ocean front one is busy, mini fridge, wifi, tv, etc. Cons: the upper pool, single fin and the nearby convenience store all bump music all day long until the wee hours. It can get a bit much. We brought a white noise machine and it may have been annoying without it. The hallways in the hotel are large and sound really bounces so any late night people are easily heard. Again, white noise machine! No hot water in our room. Tub could be a little cleaner. Would definitely stay here again!
We arrived and waited for check in....was a drama getting a towel to sit by the pool which is open to the public and not very enticing at all....the breakfast was very ordinary.....the only thing this place has going for it is proximity to the beaches surrounding it....definitely will never stay here again
The room included all the basic items. Though it is quite big for two people, there was a slit between the balcony and the room, allowing some flies or mosquitoes to come in. That was a big NO NO as we spent some time killing them before we could actually go to sleep. The double bed was super large, which is a plus to the room. And the room was not that "clean" as previously suggested by other guests. The hotel has an infinity pool and Single Fin Bar is just next to the pool. You can either enjoy the sunset in the pool or in the Restaurant. A lot of people went for swimming though they did not stay at the hotel at night, thus the pool was flooded with people sometimes. Please do reserve for a table in advance if you would like to enjoy the sunset with the food or in the pool as it will be packed at 17.30. The buffet breakfast was equipped with delicious and great variety of options. The egg station and the salad station were the best.
Me and a friend booked this hotel because of the Pool and because it is next door to single finn! When we got there we find out that the pool was open to public!! Not sure when did started doing this, but you don’t need to be a guest in the hotel to use the pool! And because of that we needed to book a chair during the morning to watch the sunset or we would be without any bathing chairs!! The hotel wasn’t cheap and it wasn’t the best hotel we stayed during our trip! The towels were dirty and even questionable if it were clean or no! We had to requested a hair dryer because there wasn’t any on the room and it was the worse had dryer ever! The bath had stains on it and nothing on the frigobar! The only thing that is worth is the pool and since you don’t have to be a guest to use the pool, I don’t see why you would throw your money away if you can book a cheaper place and use the pool!
Stayed here for 5 days in July 2019. Was such a Beautiful resort what’s left of it after a fire a while ago. Lovely friendly staff & delish food. The buffet brekky was elaborate & to suit many different palates. The pool staff were amazing & quick to return with icy cold beverages & delish tasty treats. Very happy with our stay - affordable luxury in a gorgeous location 🥰
