We only stayed at the hotel one night but it was a wonderful experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I even got a text message asking if everything was OK. The chocolate was a very nice touch in the room. The breakfast was hot and very tasty.
On a recent business trip to Peace River, stayed three nights at the Sawridge. While the hotel is showing it's age a little, the rooms are very clean, the front desk staff is extremely helpful and a special shout out has to go to to Jeremy in the restaurant. His service went over and above what was expected! So a huge thank you to Jeremy! The only "issue" and it's a small one, is having to walk outside to get to the workout facility. That being said, I will be staying there again on future trips!
We stayed here for one night when passing through on a road trip. Clean, quiet rooms with convenient parking. We didn't find an elevator which wasn't a problem for us but worth remembering if you don't like carrying your bags up the stairs.
I've been traveling to Peace River on a monthly basis for nearly 17 years. My first choice for accommodations is the Sawridge Inn. Fantastic location, friendly staff, well appointed rooms and wifi that really works!
The staff is friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is right downtown and walking distances to restaurants and a grocery store which is really nice. The breakfast is quite good for a hotel breakfast with a good selection of warm and cold food and tasty fruits and veggies. The rooms appear to be newly renovated and are quiet and comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here and I will definitely be staying here on my next trip to Peace River.
Perfect stay, worth paying a little more over a local motel. Right at the start of downtown, walking distance to most things, there is more if you drive across the river. The place is modern, take a look at the photos.
Have been staying here for 10 yrs for business reasons. Front desk service is very good! Rooms good for age of this hotel. I will not continue to stay here! On my last stay, a fellow worker who has stayed here for more then 10 years checked in " early" and wanted to only drop of his bags before proceeding to a job site. The room was empty and not being occupied. When he went to check out of the hotel they had charged a extra $65 for early check in! After talking with the manager he agreed to take the charge of and made it sound like it was a big deal! I have been staying in motels over 40 years and have never seen anyone change for "early check in" . I have been told room is not ready and that is fine as I only want to drop of my luggage and would not need room until end of day. The restaurant has a continental breakfast which has not changed in years, do not enjoy it. Never eat there for other meals, very limited menu and very over priced. Service is very poor. You will see server only when you order Have waited 1/2 hour to see a server!Management does not care that no one staying at motel only eat there once and then go else where. There is now many choices for new accomadations in Peace River at comparable prices. I will not be back!
Decided last minute to stay here for three nights (Nov 10-13, 2016). What a nice surprise. The buffet style breakfast was wonderful, on-site store for beer or spirits, excellent on-site bar (Shark's) which is a local favorite, bowling alley down the street. Beds were comfy, good optik tv's, nice shower, fridge, great coffee in the rooms. I really can't think of anything to complain about. Was met by a really nice lady at reception (Holly) who was quick to ask if everything was up to standard. Will definitely return if I'm back in the area.
When one books a 2 queen room you expect a 2 queen room not a 2 double. Could not connect to wifi day or night. Room key was touch if you going to get in. Since when so hotels charge for children over 13. When it came the the breakfast the stuff that was to be hot really wasn't and soggy. I honestly do not see the value in this place compared to what was paid.
I've been staying at this hotel for thirty years and through four different owners. Today is the best offer and treatment of clientele that I have seen. Walk to all amenities that Peace River has to offer. Free full breakfast bar included.
