We've visited this restaurant many times in the past and found it to be a good location for larger than average parties. The occasion was my friend's 70th birthday and our group comprised of 14 adults. Our host had rang the restaurant five days before and had asked for a large circular table bear the pool. They have many. My wife and I were the first to arrive and we were ushered to a long oblong table well away from the pool. I voiced my disappointment with the waiter but my words went unheeded. I know it would have been a squeeze to sit fourteen people on a circular table but certainly not impossible and so much more sociable. My wife and I sat towards the end of the table leaving the host to sit in the middle and decide who he wanted to have sit next to him. Consequently we didn't have a chance to talk to anyone down the other side of the table. If that had been my only criticism, I wouldn't have posted this review but unfortunately there is more to follow. The salad bar was not up to its usual standard and the selections of lettuces etc left much to be desired. My main gripe however was with the main courses or lack of them so that when we looked in the tureens to select our meats and vegetables there were hardly any available. Most of the pots were empty and. There was one piece of braised steak left, which I quickly put on my plate but I was unable to find potatos of any kind and green vegetables or carrots etc were not available. Pasta and rice had to take their place. A very disappointing experience indeed. The desert selection was acceptable. The buffet costs 390 baht plus tax and service, a small bottle of Sigha costs 120 baht and a very small glass of house wine will cost you 220 baht. Again plus tax and service charge. All in all a sad experience and I think we will be exploring other venues in future to celebrate special occasions such as this.
Went here for a ten day holiday and nothing disappointed me. Friendly staff, very good breakfast and a beautiful resort with dito swimmingpool. Rooms also very clean, and nicely decorated. Want to have a drink or something to eat at the pool? Its just one push of a button away. Prices are for european standards reasonable/cheap, but more expensive when you go have a quick bit or drink in the city. Dinner was not expensive (300 or 400 baht), but did not tried so cant say anything about it. It looked very good so must be also great. WiFi also good all over the resort! Nice that it is just outside the centre because it was very quiet in the night. It is also guest friendly. Just back three days now and already booked my next stay for begin of march next year. Thai Garden, thank you for your great hospitality and giving me the perfect holiday! 🙏🏼
Lovely Evening with Friends Was not sure what to expect but all was very good Inc. House Wine half price during Happy Hour. Mainly Western Food. Scenic setting too. Hotel looked nice but I did not see the Rooms.
my friends wanted to visit the coast and have i party. i wanted a bit of quiet a short walk from the beach. we were recommended this place a couple of years ago. the price looked cheap and i wasn't sure what we'd get. shouldn't have worried at all. very very good staff with a clean, efficient and modern , what i can only describe as a kind of health spa. huge pool with plenty of loungers, great staff, good drinks and bar food. nice customers (mainly German, polite and quiet) enjoyed three days around a pool reading and swimming. bliss short walk to the beach or local street food joints, loads of bars within 10 minutes walk. about 30 minutes stroll to the infamous nightclub area along the beach road. a nice little oasis in a mad city. rooms were huge and clean, really they were chalets, big bathroom/wet room and sitting area . slightly smokey smelling as so many rooms seem to be where there's no smoking ban. i will be visiting there every time im in the area, don't think for the money you can beat this place.
If I would been ask, what I will miss most of Thailand when returning home, one thing for sure is the restaurant at The Thai Garden Resort. This resort is run by European professionals and it shows in every detail. The tables are set with double linen, starched napkins, round tables have round table cloth, salt and pepper mills, even mosquito spray which I never had to use. You have the choice of sitting at the large pool area, outdoor dining room or an air conditioned dining room. Besides a menu a buffet is offered with a different cuisine every day of the week for 399 baht. My favorite is German night on Thursdays. On the cold side you will find assorted cold cuts, smoked salmon with a delicate dill sauce and capers, a pate, a variety of salads like cucumber salad with dill, dutch ham salad, german potato salad, seafood salad and fresh vegetables. On the hot buffet you may start with a soup of the day, you will find always Sauerbraten (marinated Beef), assortment of sausages, sauerkraut, red cabbige, spinach au gratin, often Wiener Schnitzel (thin slices of breaded pork loin) or Cordon Bleu, always a seafood dish, Thai food, and the main attraction is a whole suckling pig roasted in front of you over charcoal fire.. A great assortment of desserts awaits you after dinner with home made pasties, chocolate or strawberry mousse and Kaiser Schmarren a cut up pancake with raisins and cinnamon, a favorite of Kaiser Franz Joseph of Austria. If sweets add too many calories try a rich assortment of fresh fruits. On other evenings the buffet will feature food from Italy, Thailand, international cuisine etc. During dinner a trio will play discreetly background music and as the night progresses the musicians will stroll from table to table to romance you. I always had a great time at The Thai Garden. MHS, Florida
Visit there and you have now been warned what to expect. The evening buffet is 399Baht but its getting worse however, what is truly awful is the bad attitude of the staff. Half way through my main course, a waiter rushes over and demands I pay for the meal, there and then. I was astounded at the rudeness shown to me and my wife and my daughter. Without any hesitation, I told the waiter to go away. BUT, then the exact same happened at the table next to me. I was flabbergasted. WHAT IS GOING ON !!! You are trying to enjoy an evening meal but all you get is hassles to pay the bill, even whilst you are eating. I WOULD HATE TO STAY THERE with this attitude Can you image being asleep at 2am with the staff, hammering at the door, demanding you pay for the room there and then, whilst in your PJ's. You have been warned !!!
Spending 2 weeks at Thai Garden Resort Pattaya on arrival check in very easy, room very nice and clean. Staff very good lots of choice for breakfast , have been to the hotels evening buffet 3 times with son and his Thai wife and family even he said very good value for money, Hotel has fabulous pool and a great pool service . The only slight criticism is the TV in the rooms could do with more English channels ,apart from that we had a great time
The hotel is located in North Pattaya and not far from the beach, just few minutes walking distance. Room are comfortable with all the amenities. Staff are polite and well mannered. Breakfast is good and full of varieties. Overall would recommend this hotel to all visitors.
Nice spread out tropical garden property with big rooms & good breakfast.A little far away from everything RED .....& that helps if you are holidaying with children. Reception lacks SMILE and a little rude sometimes.
Following an earlier and pleasant evening buffet dining experience we enjoyed with friends at this Hotel, my Thai partner and I were impressed with the overall Hotel ambience and decided to try out the accommodation. For our first booking experience with this Hotel, in July 2017 we booked what we thought was “deluxe” ground floor accommodation with a king size bed only to find a room with both a double and single bed. Disappointingly we would have very much more preferred a king size bed resulting in less clutter and hopefully more floor space. Furthermore the design of the room allowed for air conditioning of the main front area only resulting in other areas at the rear to remain stiflingly hot and at times it seemed as if the air conditioner was struggling to maintain set low temperatures even in the main area, leading to an uncomfortable night’s sleep. An oversight in our booking only gave us accommodation with a room located in the garden setting and although the garden area was by all means most serene and maintained in an immaculate manicured condition, on reflection we would have much more preferred a poolside room had we the choice. The Hotel is favourably situated next door to a huge Tesco Lotus shopping complex, easily accessed from the rear (side) entry to the Hotel (or from the front for that matter) should any serious shopping be required. Other than that, there is a 7/11 and a large liquor outlet heading down the road towards the dolphin roundabout. There are also many restaurants in the area; however most have typical German (tourist) influences as does the Hotel, but then again this is to be expected and is typical of the Pattaya Naklua suburb. The inclusive buffet breakfast combined with friendly service was very impressive with a large selection of cuisine to suit all tastes. The swimming pool, amenities and poolside service is also worth a positive mention. There was never a shortage of spare poolside lounges. In closing we would like to say that we found the staff and management extremely friendly, courteous and obliging at all times and the rooms managed well and kept clean. We have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel and look forward to staying here again in the immediate future (hopefully a poolside room complete with king size bed and an efficient air conditioner).
