I am giving it 5 stars because of the staff, they are very helpful & attentive. I stayed for 8 nights to attend conference. I took the sea view , the view is breath taking especially because it has a balcony. As the other reviews said the rooms are old & shabby. The linen of the bed has holes in it & the towels looks very old.The mirrors in the room cleverly placed, I liked them. The breakfast has a lot of choices, Indian , Chinese & International corners. I ordered room service food several times, which was very good.
The hotel is on a very large complex that has two sister hotels on either side. Based on walking through the other two hotels, I would say this is the moderate priced one and if I went back I would probably stay at the Grand hotel beside this one. The hotel is clean and being updated when I was there (I think some other reviews complained about some construction - it didn't seem that bad when I was there, but would check before you go if it is still going on) There are a lot of restaurants and coffee shops to eat at around the complex. Thai, Indian, Italian, International, Japanese's which is great for variety if you are staying a long time. Also the beach is nice although its a bit of a walk from this hotel. The two Spa's offer excellent service. There is also a Gym and Sports complex on the grounds which has an amazing pool, tennis courts, squash courts and an OK gym that does seem to offer classes. There are also Thai cooking classes at the Grand hotel which is well worth it. My really only two complaints 1) Internet speeds are slow and drop a lot. Although available all over the campus, I wish they would improve them and your only allowed once device at a time. 2) Everything opens at 6.30am. I am an early riser and really would like a nice coffee prior to 6.30 --- it isn't going to happen here. The staff are very attentive and really do try and go the extra mile. If you want something away from the craziness of downtown Pattaya this place is for you. If you want to be in the heart of the action, would pick another place.
I booked this hotel mainly to play tennis and this didn’t disappoint. Great facilities and Ana is a good coach - id recommend bringing your racquet if you like tennis. The hotel itself is a bit dated in terms of rooms, lifts and corridors, it needs some money spent on upgrading it to bring it in line with modern hotels. I gave up on the buffet breakfast after 3 mornings as it isn’t cheap and fairly low quality. Eat in breezeo on the sea front twice which was very good for a lunchtime meal. Ambience was dominated by drilling and power tools all day which made having a nap quite difficult in the afternoon. The infinity pool is nice for a swim and good place to see the sunset. I’d recommend using uber for taxi into the centre of town. Much cheaper than the local meter taxis than seem to never actually be run on the meter. Coming from centre to hotel you will need to pay up and use meter taxi (200 bhat typically vs 100 bhat on uber) as uber won’t pick you up in the centre of town as they are scared to get attacked by the meter taxis - weird situation!!
Have been here several times since 1978. The hotel grew over the years and for a while it lost it's sole. Upon this trip the hotel is back to its previous glory. The Manger Mr Lorentzen gave us a heart felt welcome. Him and his staff has absolutely succeeded in making all guests feel at home here. We are now soon ending our stay here and it will be hard leave all those friendly and sincere people behind. Would like to mention Rossini restaurant and thank them for wonderful meals and top notch service.
The price of the hotel by no means reflects the rooms, they are tired and dated. Humming fridges, noisy air con, the constant noise of power tools drilling and grinding, and clashing of metal work all added to zero sleep. This hotel is over priced with much more reasonable and better quality available in pattaya
Staying for a few nights at the beginning of the season is quite ok. Room, service and amenities all nice and according to information. Staff very friendly and helpful! As we did not have breakfast included we tried the buffet one morning - very Chinese style, but fresh and great variety- the only downside was the try to charge coffee and cafe latte as „extra“ - not included into the quite expensive breakfast rate. However, brief discussions with the staff - and all included!
Royal cliff beach hotel is a nice hotel with full option of facilities. Very friendly staff, they make me feel like home. It is a good place for enjoy the leisure time with friend and family. I’ll be back exactly. Thank you all staff :)
Beautiful hotel. Spacious and clean. Cool , welcoming reception area friendly and helpful staff. Upgraded to a sea view. Well worth the extra. Food is gorgeous here not a bad bite the whole time here. Pool area excellent ( even though there was work being done ). Beach area was quiet. Real nice place to chill out. 5minutes from town centre. Taxi service good too.
I went a while ago (september 2016) and it was amazing. The weather was good so it was a perfect stay. The pool is beautiful and I wanted to stay there forever. The beach isn't the best but there was a lot of small boats that can take you to other beaches around (tip: don't eat too much before going on those boats.) I only spend a night there but it was an amazing stay anyways. The rooms are new and I had breakfast in the restaurant and is really really good. A lot of options! I ate too much (and that's how I know not to eat too much before going on the boats). The boats are not free though and not expensive. My mom was afraid on going so I went with my dad and uncle. Well, you don't need to have the boat ride, the infinity pool is enough!!
Great time with the girls. Located abt 10 mins away from pattaya beach and central locations, We had been allowed connecting rooms and it only added to the fun. The food and great and being a huge place it never seems crowded. The infinity pool is big and clean with a great view. They have a lrivate beach thats a feather on their hat. The service is great and the rooms were comfortable and tidy. Would love to come back.
