Spent seven nights at Ravindra recently. As a family with two small kids it was great. Spent most of the time in the hotel pools, poolside bar or beach during the day. Most dinners we had were at Reva’s which is close to beach and can do a nice dinner (if you book) on the beach. If you book directly via the hotel’s website they do offer you a few discounts when you stay which we found worthwhile. Keep a look out for happy hour’s offered at each of the pools/restaurants which will keep you ‘happy’ from 10h00 to 19h00 each day. Be sure to check out the spa and the week/month specials. Service is great and very reasonably priced. It is quite close to Cartoon Network Waterpark which is worth a visit for a young family. Taxi’s readily available to most spots including into Pattaya and Walking Street, etc
I am traveling a lot and have some experience as well as expectations how a hotel should work. I booked Ravindra Beach Resort only because of availability of pool villas, the private beach and the good ratings in the reviews. The pool villa was perfect, spacious and had a nice private pool. The beach was ok, enough sunbeds, but you should be aware that there will be some disturbance of preparation for functions (marriages, company events,..). The hotel is equipped with 3 nice swimming pools. When I booked the pool villa I had some expectations. The drawback was the entire service quality of the hotel. Only a few examples: I tried to order some drinks on the room in the evening. Firstly you need huge patience because nobody understands English language properly, secondly you need time, they don’t measure the time in minutes, the time is measured in half-hourly steps, thirdly if you think that at the end you could manage your order, you will get either only half which you ordered or the wrong things. Same happened with breakfast served on the room which I ordered by filling a list for the next day. Next day morning after 45min and 3 attempts to get everything which I ordered for breakfast I abandoned all hope and anyway the breakfast was already cold. Similar it happened with bathroom stuff, WiFi, restaurant etc. Yes, I surrendered because I didn’t like to stress my nerves and patience and finally I arranged everything myself: picking up a bootle of wine at the restaurant for the room myself, joining the breakfast restaurant where at 9:30 nobody found the time to refill empty plates at the buffet etc. Only to mention a few topics of the first days. Minimum 50% of a star rating of a hotel is the attitude, qualification and performance of the staff and in this regard I would not rate Ravindra beach resort a 5 star hotel. Only friendly staff is too less. English language is a must in the international business. Maybe the staff is more competent in Russian language, I don’t know, most of the guests are from Russia.
Wonderful hotel with great staff! Couldn’t be happier! We were on a group of 13 and we were all very happy with everything there. From front desk to room service and cleanliness, pools, restaurant! Everything wonderful. On the beach there was also a restaurant with locals called Blue Cottage that had great food and staff. Great fried fish and mango smoothies! Loved our experience!
We a group of 4 friends booked the resort for two nights 1st and 2nd March and had a horrible experience Anyone planning to stay here 1) location: very bad and off city if you are looking for a relaxing retreat then it’s a good choice or a hired car can be feasible option too 2) breakfast: No Muslim food / seafood options in breakfast no live fresh juice corner either 3) horrible WiFi in room and resort 4) beach is very dead and dark after 10 5) value for money is less than zero 6) never coming back here even if it’s for free
This was my 3rd stay at this resort since it was newly open years ago. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room is clean and well maintenance. Guestroom's Wi-Fi signal is strongl. Buffet breakfast is served with European and Asian style food. There are 3 swimming pools that guest can enjoy for the whole day until 7pm. There are also a private and calm beach that guest can enjoy. The resort has a tranquility atmosphere and is good for relaxation and leisure. It locates on Sukhumvit road and is about 12 km. from downtown Pattaya.
The resort is complete service , but when the quality of restaurants are low , only the breakfast is amazing buffet. Big pools good for baby , room clean , beach quite ,price ok .Spa no professional and staff need improve the standard . My suggestion 2/3 night is very good solution
As a weekend break from Bangkok this was perfect. Staff were brilliant throughout, food was great, pools were perfect for children and adults and the location made a wander along the beach an activity in itself. Great value for such a great hotel.
The resort is very nice and we had a wonderful stay. Three pools and the easy access to the beach create a great ambiance. There are some small food places on the beach with a great variety of local dishes which are very reasonably priced. The breakfast was very good too and the rooms are functional and well appointed. The staff were pleasant and willing to help with any questions, although at times they could have been more helpful with advice on how to get around and where to go etc. They leave you to discover the challenges of getting around in Pattaya, which can be difficult at times. Still a great place and we hope to be back there soon!
The resort is very good with nice pool and beach , the room space is good and you can enjoy your special balcony and the staff was friendly. But front main gate for resort there are gang Control the transportation and the taxi , What happened to me I was stop front of main gate of the hotel waiting for taxi , A member of the gang offer me very high price for my trip and rejected his offer because I know the price very well . I kept waiting for other taxi When another taxi came and I rode with him, they grabbed the door of the car and prevented the taxi from moving and threatened him if he move , Then I went to inside of the resort to ask for a taxi to get rid of them I mean the gang , The strange thing is that at the gate of the hotel one of the gang members stopped the new taxi driver Because we are with him and the customers of this region are for them only even With I had requested a taxi from inside the resort!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I feel sorry to mention the above story but it's true , and I hope it do not repeat with anyone in future Because the hotel is beautiful and sophisticated and deserves the best .
We came for a quick break from Bangkok, all looked nice on website ... however, we discovered: (1) The main restaurant closed for a Russian Orthodox Christmas party (all spoken in Russian) so we had to leave the resort to find a NICE beachside restaurant. (2) The advertise cable TV ... but no English spoken news, ie; no CNN, BBC, FOX etc ... but the have Russian! ... and even worse, they blame the cable company! (3) Paid the 1,500 thai baht extra for late check out, yesterday in advance ... we returned from the pool to find ourselves LOCKED OUT of our room, cause they ‘forgot’ to note our prepaid late check out. (4) COFFEE ... is not the best in Thailand, but this place wins the worst coffee prize! ... when I asked if the free percolated coffee was the only one, they said yes. I make better simple Plunger coffee at home in Sydney! ... I only was told as we checked out that they have real coffee is another outlet. IN SUMMARY - AVOID THIS RESORT, unless your Russian!
- Free WiFi in rooms and public areas
- Free parking
- Onsite dining
