The hotel is decent. The pros are the staff are quite friendly, and the pool area is quite nice. Restaurant has great food but has no ambiance. Beach area has nice sun beds but you have to go all the way around to access the water instead of having a staircase leading straight down. The Internet is so slow horrendous, don't stay here if you need to use the Internet. For a 5 star hotel there should be at least 1 person who speaks solid English but doing things like ordering room service or speaking to front desk can be difficult. The breakfast is the same everyday (we stayed 6 days) and is very lackluster. The coffee they serve is absolutely horrible. I booked this place specifically for the pool bar and whilst one or two of the staff know how to make an okay cocktail most of them don't and at 230 Bhat each they aren't cheap. They also use a 'homeish' brand for all their mixers. It's quite bad. In one instance in the foyer bar I ordered two cocktails and the lady made about 0.75 of one and split it between the two glasses. When I asked for another one she got annoyed. Overall I wouldn't reccomend this hotel or Pattaya in general for beaches and relaxation. If you do stay in Pattaya stay somewhere else a bit closer to the center. The Taxi's tend to not come and overall the hotel isn't very quiet, there is alot of noise. Guests were never discouraged from speaking in the foyer at any stage.
The worst experience in Thailand ever - very rude reception staff - especially old short hair lady - the want to charge extra money for a visitor - because no one check in with me !?!? Who put such rule - if I book for 2 persons why you want to charge more ? Because as they said you cannot accept visitors because they not check in with you !?!? What a strange rule Everywhere in the world if you book for 2 you free to have 2 in the room not more than that Which is not applicable here as they say because they different The 2nd person had to check in from day one - if not they will charge more Ridiculous and kinda rude Not to mention it's outdated hotel and a lot of white ants to carry in your bags and a lot of bites as well Wifi is bad and they won't give you more than 3 days wifi password and max for 2 devices as they said Breakfast buffet mainly made for Chinese people because a lot of Chinese groups here and they not care about other cultures Overpriced for no reason The worst experience in Thailand ever
Zero tolerance on outside food by the pool, not even whole fruit like mandarin oranges. Food sold at restaurants were pricey and pretty small portion with insipid taste. The printing fee was shockingly expensive, so jus use a mobile boarding pass. Wifi connection was poor, repeated attempts to reconnect was to no avail. Tv was super blurry and this was really upsetting. The only plus point was the pool.
Let us start with a positive, early flight arrival and the hotel was very good about allowing a 10am checkin, so much appreciated and very helpful staff. Lovely big open atrium for reception with great views out over the infinity pool and ocean too, but a bit worn. However, the five star luxury resort is not what you get. The place is aging, not particularly well either. As we approached the room down a corridor the whole place smelt damp and musty and once arriving at the room neither key worked. The porter got the maid to let me in but instead of resolving the key issue he said I needed to go to reception, I had thought he would. Once in the room, first glance is good, but again, smells damp and very worn. The WiFi login does not work either and the WiFi pick up is patchy and slow. Too few power sockets and again, worn so nothing stays in and you have to prop up a phone charger with a bin and the dining menu. Hairdryer faulty, doesn’t work and water pressure low. The bed is big and well made but very very hard, so don’t expect a comfy sleep. Storage for clothes, limited with just three coat hangers and very little drawer space. No iron so called housekeeping fit the same, someone who speaks English might have been advantageous as the person answering didn’t speak any. So that’s the feeling after being in the room for an hour. Not a great first impression and a hotel which has much potential with some tender love and care and a little investment
old hotel with thai style...the room is old style with thai decor...staff are friendly amd helpful...the pool are big and have direct view to the sea...but the beach are dirty...many rubish around the shore..i think it needs more maintenance...the staff is not too friendly...no smile...decent hotel, but many beter choice for other hotel at the same price....
Food wise they hit the right amount of cooking skills for every selected dish we ordered.Pork chop was well cooked with very juicy meat.salmon was delectable enough to suggest to the late comers. Beef was ok,the rest of the food mixed fried appetite was good,pad Thai is great very authentic just the right amount of ingredients. Staff was attentive and apologetic sincere origunally reserved for the sea view. Price is not as expensive as other five star hotel restaurant but this restaurant deserved a good patrons,actually visited last October 2 and will write another review for that, Overall this restaurant deserved a good place in tripadvisory.
The hotel staff and the view is priceless. The service is excellent and the staff are very good. One minus you have to pay for WiFi. The breakfast buffet is huge with a long list of assorted items and exotic fruits,
Before I was visiting this hotel I was very apprehensive about this hotel because of the TA reviews but it was a very nice hotel. Room with pool access is one of the best thing. Front desk Staff was also very friendly and nice on the other hand breakfast was not great and the staff is also rude. Hotel seems old and need face lift. Beast thing was the view and pool access room which my son enjoyed a lot. Prashant
The hotel I stayed is the worst one, I already stay more than 100 hotels. It is difficulty to image why this hotel is rate 5 stars, I only can give 2 stars max. I booked two rooms to stay from 10-13 Aug., when I get into the room, I wonder the twin room bed is only 3x6 feet, very small and never seen in 5 stars hotel. So, I change to family suite, I need to pay extra HK$3000 for 3 nights,not worth and very disappointed, I found a lot of naphthalene balls pack on the head size of junk bed and other area even the ceiling of lift. I can't imagine this things can find in the hotel. Spider web can found at the end of junk bed and the corner of bathtub. My friend's room found cockroach. The swim pool is very dirty due to I saw a film of oil closed to the pool bar cover on the water. Moreover, there is huge of chinese tours stay at this hotel, very noisy and dirty in the restaurant, you can't enjoy the breakfast before 9:00am. The breakfast is wide variety but I can't say it is delicious, only so so. Original when I stay at twin room I need to pay 700 bahts for children breakfast, however, for BBQ seafood dinner buffet, it only charge 599 bahts, please comment why it is unreasonable. There is no beach you can swim, no maintenance, no beach chair, beach is very dirty. Don't see the picture from their website, it is not match in fact. However, the next hotel you can enjoy clean beach with beach chair. I don't recommend tourist who want to enjoy beach and pool to stay here.
Only two things impressed me, that is beachfront location and room with swimming pool side on ground floor. Not love all menu here so much, seafood not fresh. i missed my jacket in seminar room and all staffs who has duties in there said I don't know. -_-'
