A great place for family and friends. A hotel I'll always recommend to people. Great facilities provided. Humble people with great service provided. Food also great. The peak restaurant should have more variety of food. Other restaurants great. Overall experience was very good. Hats off.
Grand Hotel, numerous amenities, finger licking good foods, 4 pools, a beach and anything u need is available. Except a smile and a compassionate ear at the check in counter. Majority of the staff does not even acknowledge your existence as a guest. Kids are unwelcome, especially in the restaurant. Enjoyed the stay because of the company of our 5 families. For some time we forgot that there was something akin to Thai Hospitality.
Every aspect of this hotel was superb, really top quality and it's the original luxury hotel in Pattaya so not exactly trendy and tends to attract an older crowd. Staff all top notch and highly trained. Room fine but I simply can't return to sleep on the rock hard bed (like sleeping on the floor) as didn't sleep well throughout my week long visit. Other top notch hotels including one in Pattaya before my visit offer far better beds these days.
When you enter into hotel you gets mesmerized with its appearance. A soft spoken staff helps you to check in. When you walk to your room you feel the luxury you entering into. Before turning to your room side you can see beach. When you enter room you will fall in love of its elegant design and richness. If you allocated with lower floor (4th is lower flower) where in you have garden view feel like you are in Jungle stay. A shaded walk way is created upto pool. When you see Toilet and Bath you will understand why it should be called "Rest Room"... All the toiletries provided are of high quality. You even have options of pillows to choose. Dining- Breakfast has wide spread or widest spread. Specailly for Indians have Indian food. Internet Speed is decent. There are many daywise activities arranged for kids as well. Have internal small shops but seems expensive. Its starting point for TukTuk shared taxi so going internal part of Pattaya is not an issue. Cons - Don't come on business trip to this hotel. You will hardly get time in busy schedule to explore the hotel and you feel missing opportunity while you checked out.
Located at the other end of Walking Street this property is grand.. Spacious lobby and spacious rooms.. Some rooms are sea facing.. Has a small but private beach.. One can walk along the Pattaya beach or even take a tuk-tuk just outside the hotel.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Dusit it’s a top class hotel with great amenities ,the food was first class and the staff were all very helpful. At the main entrance driveway all lawns and gardens were beautifully manicure
The room was nice!! but air conditioner in the room doesn't work and can't control temperature. Some staff have bad service. In the morning we ate breakfast at Cascade Restaurant and woman staff sighed and her face is frown when she kept the plates. and when we have check out, Bellman was show dissatisfaction when he transported our luggage and impolite speaking. staffs were so rude. I though the hotel should be train to staff better............ I hope my comment will be improved.
The Club Room experience is the BEST. The staff are so friendly and attentive at all times. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. There are so many advantages of the Club Rooms, to me worth every penny. There's a good selection for breakfast, caters for all and the staff are great. The pools are spacious and the staff very attentive. The hotel is in a great location. I have visited the hotel twice this year already and have booked for three weeks in January, also looking to try a visit in November. Just love the place
Really dated property in need of modernisation to sustain its heritage. Room rate is not cheap and comes without breakfast, garden facing rooms are dark. Seaview rooms are facing constructions on the beach. The swimming pool is looking at the crane and construction noise is everywhere throughout the property. With all the downside and a low occupancy rate we asked for a room upgrade and was refused with an attitude. We walked out Immediately and probably will never give it a second chance. Too bad for them.
This place is just the kind of place we love when traveling overseas: reflects the local culture in its design, but sustains global standards. Let's Get the Nasty Out of the way: We did the Club floor and we were not disappointed for the most part. We did go to the top floor, but to be honest, didn't like the layout of the rooms and the carpet was truly disgusting. (If a carpet is stained, it doesn't matter how grand a room design is...the dirty carpet distracts from everything else). We were grateful that our carpet was clean with no stains. BUT...I didn't enjoy the balcony the entire time we were there...why? We had to fight pigeons and their poop. It really was sad to not be able to enjoy sitting outside. The resort needs to deal with these pigeons. There are ways to do that. Especially if the poop is getting onto the chairs where your clients should be sitting. This is just basic. Besides...poop carries disease with it. We mentioned it to one of the staff, and he just smiled and shrugged as if this was something he had heard before. The GOOD: This is best property location in all of Pattaya! We literally spent our entire days by the pool in front of the ocean...there is grass, and there are little ladies by the beach who will give you a massage. There is excellent service by the pool, but you must order before 5pm. The Club service. You eat in a lovely, 180 room view of Pattaya and the ocean. (Just overlook the worn furniture and keep your eyes focused on the view). The service is impeccable and attentive. You also have access to an afternoon tea with unlimited drinks and an array of snacks...nothing substantial, but fine. The evening drinks begin at 5 and finish at 7, but you could make this your dinner and literally not spend anything on food for all the time you are here. This is truly a money saver for families, and there were plenty of families here. You are also granted three pieces of laundry a day free of charge. so all in all, a great deal for the Club level. The staff is impeccable and well trained. We delighted in them....from the cleaning staff, to bellboys, to pool staff to club lounge staff. There was no waiting around. They were excellent. The grounds are lovely! Its like once you walk through the doors you are in another world. We enjoyed discovering our favorite flower, gardenia, just to the side of the main lobby. AND it has a real beach, not a fake, artificial beach. *Just sad to see the condition of Pattaya and Jomtien beaches. Songtauw's are sitting right outside the resort, and you can quickly and easily go into town. So you are near to the shopping, but a world away. If we ever go back to Pattaya, for all it's strikes against it, we would still choose to come here to the Dusit Thani again...but maybe we'll try HuaHin next time? ;-)
