No doubt it is the best property around in terms of facilities. However, service is very low in standard if you plan to visit peak season. We had ordered something and got something else not once but three times. Language is a problem! For such a property where you have lot of foreigners coming... The swimming pool is amazing, there is a kids room nice small garden area..Breakfast on 38th floor is amazing if you are on time...again if you go after 8 it is chaos as we saw only 1 lady serving the whole breakfast area.. Overall it was good stay enjoyed Christmas!!! Lovely view..
My husband and I together with our daughter plus another 2 friends checked into D Varre Jomtien for 7 nights. When we were shown our superior rooms, we were not happy with the rooms. We asked for an upgrade and was allocated executive club rooms which we have took but also have to pay the difference. Even the executive club rooms looked tired and the furnishings in need of modernisation. There was also inconsistencies such as our room has no slippers, bathrobes or sofa compared to the other two rooms occupied by my daughter and our friend. The positives in this hotel are the great seaview and convenience in terms of beach, restaurants, bars and launderette. I was rather disappointed with the buffet breakfast and definitely not value for money.
Having stayed in Pattaya many many times, it was a totally different experience staying in Jomtien. Jomtien is much quieter than Pattaya, with much less night life. The hotel was good, nice and clean, good swimming pools, bars and restaurants.
Plus: Quick check-in, very good WIFI, nice room, wonderful view, nice pools, close to the water, very good breakfast, nice and helpful staff, clean and good room service. Minus: Small issues like forgetting water at rooms, small details in rooms andservices
The rooms are large although the fixtures and fittings are quite dated. The rooms we used had king sized bed, smart TV, double wardrobe, safe, small kitchen with fridge freezer, sink and hob. Although not all rooms had the sink and hob. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, large sink and toilet. Towels are changed daily and beds made.up daily. Each rooms gets two bottles of water, 2 sachets of coffee, creamer and sugar daily. The lobby is huge and very ornate with a pianist several nights a week. There is a coffee shop in the lobby and plenty of sofas and armchairs. Free WiFi available but you need to ask reception for a username and password if you wish to have it in your room. The breakfast has a massive selection for various tastes and cultures. There is also an outside restaurant and bar that has a live band a couple of times a week.
Pretty good hotel with a comfortable pricing. While it is slightly off beat from the central Pattaya, it is not uncomfortable. Surrounded by couple of departmental stores and good eateries with the hotel itself providing restaurant facilities, you are never challenged to have your choicest food which Pattaya so well cater. While we went as a couple to spend our wedding anniversary, I will recommend this hotel even for a family stay with young children as I can surely think of bringing my daughter here also along with.
Very well located hotel on the beach front.Good panoramic view of the sea if you pay for the right view; a bit over crowded sometimes.Clean and neat; well kept rooms and house keeping is immaculate. The seminar rooms are not up to the mark though and they seem to concentrate on the hotel rather than MICE. The breakfast lacks variety but a big spread. Access to public transport is only the red vans and they will fleece often, be careful.
This hotel is across the road from the beach with fantastic views . The hotel is very clean and tidy, with helpful friendly staff . We didn't use the restaurant but the coffee shop has lovely cakes and salads . There are 2 lovely swimming pools, with plenty of sun loungers and poolside bar and food. Jomtien is quieter than Pattaya but has plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. Taxi vans run all along the seafront to Pattaya and are very cheap. Really lovely hotel and perfect for families, and couples. Would stay again .
Not a bad hotel. Plenty of Chinese visitors with a handful of westerners. I get the impression it has had a big male over recently as the finishing snare new but architectural features seem a little dinky. The hotel hallways outside of the rooms are open air with waist height barriers- of you have kids that like to climb, I would stay well clear. The outdoor bar is nice enough with a cool sea breeze. Just down the road are a few dirt restaurants, but the food seemed good- yes I did get mild gastro from somewhere. We received advise not to use the tap water to brush your teeth but that may be a little extreme. I stayed on a two bedroom apartment - the room was clean and spacious with air conditioning. The balcony door could be left open but the smog made you want to close it. A decent hotel for business travellers- but families with small children should look elsewhere.
The hotel architectur is somehow that all of the rooms include view of the ocean. The building is a little old but clean. Jomtiem beach is on other side of the street and swimming at the ocean is provided.
