D Varee Jomtien Beach4.0 out of 5.0

It is so classy, variety of restaurants, swimming pools, bars and cocktail bars. A spectacular view of Rayong, Jomtien beach, Khoa Laan island to Pattaya from the cocktail bar restaurant on the 38th floor. Staff very friendly room service excellence and a overall 5 out of 5 rating.
I'd def stay here again despite a few things that could be better. It's at quieter end of Jomtien - 20mins to walk to Jomtien night market. Some say it's a bad thing but I personally don't like being amongst the crowds. If you like crowded areas completely full of Thais, Chinese etc then stay nearer the night market or over by Pattaya beach. Also, to get to walking street on Pattaya it was just 20baht per person for the songtaws (small vans where you jump on the back with 15 others sat/hanging on there). Flag them down on the other side of the road (beachside) and just jump on the back. Pay when you get off. Walking street was about 20-25mins drive. The lobby is grand with really good food, coffees and cakes at the lobby cafe. Beach is just across the road. 2 pools. One on 5th floor was quieter. Really good views from the balcony. We were given 23rd floor room facing the sea which was amazing for sunsets over the sea. Room was clean. A lot of reviews say they're dated....they are a bit. The furniture is a bit old but who cares when it's clean, big comfy bed, clean bathroom with everything you need, big balcony with chairs to sit on and watch the sunsets. Air con is a little bit noisy but you've got problems if it's disturbing your experience. If you want Hilton-like features then go to a Hilton! A lot of people expect the earth in a cheaper hotel! The breakfast selection is huge so you won't struggle with what to eat. My only suggestions of advice to management reading this would be to reduce the amount of breakfast choices and make it a smaller, fresher, better looking selection rather than lots and lots of pots of food. Also, we went to the bar on 38th floor to eat when we arrived on first evening but only food is tapas and seafood. Maybe have a few sandwich/burger/thai dish selections the same as you have in the lobby cafe. We were put off going up to 38th as the food selection was poor. Overall though, if I/we come back to Pattaya I would recommend this hotel unless you prefer being in the middle of the noise, chaos, bars etc
I never seen a hotel like that in Thailand. I am traveling over Thailand for years now Over 100€ a night Room are not clean Poor quality of room. Too old! They need more than renovations Air condition leak ! Floor is destroyed May be a good location that is it !
We were a group of six friends and have stayed at the hotel for four days in August. The property is grand and is well connected to the main areas of Pattaya. Pros: Right in front of the beach, great food, amazing club on the 38th floor, amazing restaurant by the beachfront. Cons: Front Office staff is very unpleasing and very unwelcoming. One of my friends was trying to play the piano kept in the center of the lobby( without any banner) and the front office lady got so furious she was literally scolding me when I went to inquire her about something else( not cool at all). The bell boys are all the more rude. The rooms- They look straight out of the 80's and so basic, that it is beyond explanation. Completely upsetting. Even the amenities placed are of a lower quality that a 3 star and has a very poor shower experience. The only saviour was the food and DIB. So giving 4 points for the same.
Best hotel in Jomtein...!!! As it's my 4th journey to Pattaya and Dvaree hotel ..!! Well behaved staff good services ..!! Good food and Clean room wat Btter I can get ...!! Whenever u visit Jomtein place do not forget to have a best hotel with world class facility
We stayed at the 2BR suite on 20th floor. The rooms are very spacious and the view is great from one side. But that's about it...the building is getting old and needs renovation. No facilities in the kitchenette except for the tea maker. B.fast was passable. Overall expected better than what it was. Will find a better place next time.
D Varee hotel has an impressive lobby with a good coffee shop. It's two swimming pools are of a good standard. The breakfasts were better than average, providing a wide selection of choice. This is a very busy and large hotel and as such does have some problems seating people for breakfast during prime times. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was on the 27th floor with a splendid view over the sea. The room itself was however a little tired and in need of decoration. The Air con dripped onto the floor and the balcony doors were no longer wind proof resulting in a rather loud howling noise when the wind got up. We would probably choose a smaller hotel next time.
I have a chance to stay with my family during Thai's holiday. This hotel, i know it had been renovate and make it better. The room is ok not bad recommend to stay at ocean view is so cool! but the service in front desk is very poor it like talking with robot. I know this hotel have so many rooms but sometimes is not difficult to smile? The food is ok, variety of food and variety of people as well lol
I stayed at the Family Suite on 24th floor. The room was spacious but wall paper was dirty, and wear and tear. View from the 24th floor was good but window glass was dirty. Bed: clean, firm, comfy Pillow: many pillows with various softness Bathroom size in the owner's suite was good, but that in the smaller suite was too small.
Arrived at the Hotel around 5.30 evening thinking it would be busy ,It was a very quick Check in process and we had our room in no time at all ,We had the 2 Bedroom Ocean View Family Suite on the 18th Floor .The View was stunning right over the bay of Pattaya and over to the city . The rooms were very spacious ,All we needed for our stay of 6 nights with Breakfast , The Breakfast buffet was fabulous and they had everything avaliable for all tastes ,The Staff were very attentive ,especially ,Fern and Katerina. There are 2 swimming pools at the hotel however we found that the pool on the 5th floor was the pool of choice. We did not have to go far to exprerience some really nice eateries at a decent price and local food ,all very tasty Travel into Pattaya worked out really cheap at 40 Bhat for 4 of us ,However we found it easier to hire the Bhat bus back to hotel for an agreed price of 200 Bhat. The Jet ski experience was just a short walk along the beach from the hotel and Again it is well worth trying to bring the initial price down a bit ,The Hosts for the Jet ski experience were very good and friendly. We all loved the DVaree and would certainly recommend it
