Amazing lake cottage getaway!

Sagehouse was just what I needed! We thoroughly enjoyed this adorable lakefront cottage, in a quiet, peaceful setting, close to shopping and restaurants! Already planning next year’s visit!

Darling!

My friends and I loved our stay at Deanne’s Sage Cottage, it was simply darling! I squealed when I walked through the door. It was even more beautiful in person than online, it was like being in a magazine. Deanne was an excellent host. She was super nice, super easy work with and very responsive; she made us feel truly welcome. Deanne thought of every detail, from the lovely welcome card and delicious chocolates that greeted us as we walked through the door, to the personal care products, to the beautiful furnishing - it was exquisite! The outside of the cottage was just as charming with a yard filled with flowers and comfortable seating areas. It made for a very enjoyable girls getaway. I highly recommend it!

Peaceful cabin retreat

Cabin was clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated. Check in process was super easy. The property and lake access is very peaceful. We saw lots of wildlife and enjoyed the views of the water. Easy drive into Park Rapids as well. 100% would stay here again.

Sage house Getaway

We had a great time. The home is quaint and spacious. Perfect for older generation. The lake view is beautiful from the house and deck. Lovely little gardens all around house. We definitely will come again.

Nice small home on lake in Park Rapids

Two couples stayed at Sagehouse rental home in Park Rapids for a long golfing weekend. The house was small but perfect size for our group. It had all the amenities needed for us to grill a steak dinner. It also has a great sitting area for a fire at night. The property has a great view of the lake and is quiet and peaceful. We did not go swimming but property has a nice dock. The property was convenient to Headwaters golf course and to downtown Park Rapids for lunch or dinner. I enjoyed our stay and would recommend the place for two couples or a family.

Es war wie Heimkommen, in dieses wunderbare Haus am See

In diesem wunderbaren, sehr persönlich eingerichteten Haus am Portage Lake, haben wir eine sehr schöne Zeit bei Park Rapids verbracht. Das ist eine nette amerikanische Kleinstadt mit schöner Main Street, die Möglichkeiten zum Einkaufen und Essengehen bietet. Wir waren zu viert (zwei Paare). Dafür war die Ausstattung in Ordnung (Frühstück machen problemlos - für größere Koch-Events ist es nicht gedacht und Spülmaschine gibt es auch keine). Toll ist die ruhige Lage und die Möglichkeit, direkt vom Haus weg mit dem vorhandenen Kanu auf den See zu gehen. Mit dem Lake Itasca (Quelle des Mississippi) gibt es ein Highlight, in dessen State Park es auch einige Wanderstrecken gibt.

Cabin modern/cute decor, supplied with essentials plus assortment of books, games & puzzles. Nice deck with tables & lounge seating. Easy distance from town. Not ideal for swimming, good for water sports.

Mini Vacay

We always like to escape as so as I get out of school! This cabin is delightful and cozy! The owner has meticulously decorated every inch of the home. The only drawback was our stay was too short! Lake Itasca is a quick drive north! Thanks for sharing your cabin with us!

Girls weekend

My friend and I had a wonderful long weekend at this beautiful property!! It was perfect for our needs and meticulously cared for!! The location to Park Rapids could not be an easier short drive! We went into town everyday for shopping and eating. Very peaceful setting by the lake we spent a lot of time sitting outside and having bonfires every night! The cabin has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable vacation! Thank you Deanne for providing such a wonderful place for people to enjoy!!

WONDERFUL WORK/VACATION

We are building a new business in town and need a place to feel at home while we work and we found it. It is great location and peaceful surroundings and right by the lake! It felt like our own and our host was great!! Being just north of Park Rapids on Hwy 71 it is a quick drive to local restaraunts and bars too! Will be back again for sure!!! Love it!!

Awesome spot!

I can’t say enough good things about this property. We needed a place to stay last minute in Park Rapids and the host was nice enough to accommodate our date request. The cabin had everything you would need for your stay, and it was extremely cozy & clean. If we ever come back to the area for a longer stay, I would definitely book here again.

Pleasant and cozy central MN getaway

Spent a nice long winter weekend getaway here. Cold weather but the house stayed cozy and warm. Had everything we needed and was convenient to Park Rapids. Just wish it was a tad warmer outside so we could have enjoyed the fire pit. But the indoor fireplace was great!

A delightful stay

This property is as lovely in person as the photos show. It was just the right size for our family of 4. We spent the mornings and evenings in front of the fireplace, listening to records, reading and playing games, and the daytimes exploring Itasca State Park, Soaring Eagle trails and Park Rapids, which has a lovely main street with numerous independent restaurants and shops. We loved this cozy space as our home base. It was too chilly and windy to be outside at night but we did use the fire pit one evening and it was great. The stars are amazing! We highly recommend this lovely space for spending time exploring the area!

Such a cute cottage!

We loved our stay and had a good mix of hiking, sitting by the lake and fire, and lounging in the cottage. We spent the first night in the room with the shorter queen bed but it was a bit too soft so if you like/need a firmer mattress, the taller queen bed is the way to go. The cottage is cute and cozy, and the kitchen had everything we needed. I also enjoyed the perennial gardens - - that's a nice touch. Highly recommend!
