My and my boyfriend just got home from both of our first time in Paris. We went for a long weekend and stayed at the raspail Montparnasse hotel. The hotel location is perfect, lovely safe neighbourhood within close walking distance of many great sites to visit. The room was lovely and to our surprise we had a view of the top of the Eiffel towel which was lovely to see lit up at night!! The staff were so friendly and helpful when we needed directing! Definitely recommend this hotel!
We were so delighted when we arrived, the room was small but it's Paris and who goes to Paris to ait in their room! Bathroom had a great shower everything was beautifully clean and a fabulous opening picture window, from which we could see the top of the Eiffel tower. Staff could not have been more helpful or polite when faces with our dreadful French. This area is stunning the moat beautiful art defo buildings surround you, and this hotel is one if them. If ever travelling to Paris again this area and hotel would be my first choice. If the sun is out for your trip Luxemburg gardens 5 mins away is a must....do youraelf a favour and visit the pattisserie in the road opposite the hotel on the way. Yum!
We had a very pleasant stay here for a weekend away. Location is perfect as it was one train away from CDG airport, and was surrounded by restaurants which gave us the good problem of picking one. Metro links to all attractions were nearby so no long walks unless you are in the mood for one. Very friendly staff, check in went quickly and we never had an issue with the room. Comfy bed, good facilities, and good decor. I am unable to comment on the available breakfast/bar as I did not use them. If you are looking to stay in this area, I cannot fault this hotel.
We were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It's a great location and occasionally has some good deals on the rooms. From the corner room on the fifth floor you have a view of the Eiffel Tower out of one window and Notre Dame out of the other. Even my partner who is from Paris was impressed. On top of this the staff were very friendly
We stayed here for a weekend in June. We arrived in the afternoon and the room was ready. We had a triple room. My son loved the separate bed by its self. Lots of storage and a huge bathroom. The check in was easy and the staff very friendly. They provided directions and recommendations for food. We ate at the italian restaurant Tavola di gio across the street and enjoyed it.
We came for 5 nights during the hottest week of the year. Air conditioned rooms, very friendly staff who bent over backwards to help. Excellent location + lots of restaurants nearby. Highly recommended.
Our adult family of 5 stayed here July 13 & 14. We all loved it. Very well located in a nice neighborhood, many metro stops nearby. The best thing about it was the staff. They were extremely friendly and helpful to us who spoke no french. Lots of info needed by us was cheerfully given. The hotel itself is charming in the decor and the rooms were very European and cozy. Bathrooms were updated and very clean. Nearby restaurants were excellent.
Having missed our connection, Eurostar supplied us with a room for the night in this charming hotel. Clean room, comfortable bed, excellent shower! Polite and helpful staff, and an excellent breakfast / fine selection of foods...
We often have time to contemplate what a vacation should be. It begins with a place to relax and rejuvenate. This hotel is a finely crafted tool in your plans. Situated in a perfect French neighborhood, the art nouveau exterior welcomes you. Once in either Sofie or Murielle will brighten your intial impression with a smile and "Bon Jour!" No matter how many times they greet the guests, this is a happy feeling. The hotel has secrets. The decor is reminscent of an era of elegance, with a understatement of style. The rooms are perfectly matched with colors and beds that just feel good. The hotel is a small, personal, clean, tastefully designed, brightly lit , strong showers, functional (extra clear chair and luggage rack), quiet air conditioned, space. The breakfast is fun to attend. Like a party waiting to begin, the international guests fill the room with conversation. With light music and a nice touch, it begins the day. No question is left unanswered and the staff and hotel let you explore the city. Deja vu, have I been in this situation before, Merci for letting me borrow your space. It is vacation.
Don’t be confused: there is a hotel run by Mercure with the same name. I mistakenly reviewed it and would like to rectify matters with this review. The Raspail is a quaint hotel staffed with the nicest people. Rooms are large by European standards — no TV on the ceiling. Wi-Fi good and so is the simple breakfast fare. You can ask for eggs and bacon to be cooked should you want more than is regularly provided. All in all a nice, comfortable and convenient hotel. I’ll be back!
