Lovely hotel, the word "chic" can describe it. The room & bathroom are nice, yet small, just as most 3-stars hotels in the heart of Paris! It has a nice bar & cafe just inside, it has a small business center with a number of computers for guests to use. It has a nice gym. Located one block from Avenue Wagram, it had Monte Carlo Restaurant just to its side, an excellent self-serving restaurant with very affordable prices. Charles de Gaulle Etoile metro station is just around the corner. Many buses also go through Avenue Wagram and nearby Avenue Friedland. Price is high, but when compared to other hotels in the same area, I can't really complain! Rue Troyon can look a little scary at night, but everything went really fine for me. I would certainly love to go back to Princess Caroline, I'll just try looking for a good deal :)
Amazing hotel with the best location! Next to the Charles de Gaulle Etoile metro station, only a few minutes away from the Arc de Triomphe and champs elysees and located in a safe, quiet street. The staff is really helpful and nice, always greeting you with a smile. Our room was on the 4th floor and we never had problems with too much noise from the streets or neighbors. The room is small yes, but that's what you can expect in Paris. The only downside is that the room is quite out-dated, but the room and bathroom are clean. Would definitely stay here again!
The location of the hotel is fantastic; one minute walk from the metro and the Arc de Triumph. The staff at the hotel were always pleasant and when we arrived we were able to leave our luggage in a safe, locked room until check in. We were on the sixth floor and found the room fairly small but clean (it didn’t look anything like the images we saw on Tripadvisor. We assume the more spacious rooms are on lower floors as it seemed like we were in the attic). The room was cleaned each day and new complementary toiletries left. However, the walls were very thin and we heard our neighbours nocturnal activities throughout the night! There was also a spring coming through the mattress and the room looked like it needed updating (little things like pipes on show, untidy skirting etc). Overall great location but not a romantic getaway - just a clean place to lay your head after a busy day exploring Paris. Not sure I’d recommend based in the room we stayed in.
From the preliminary emails to the end of our stay, what an exceptional customer service from the GM-Marc. The room was excellent, the reception service was excellent, the location is absolutely convenient. carpets were clean, very very comfortable bed, bathroom was big and clean... thoroughly enjoyed the stay Would wholeheartedly recommend this gorgeous Hotel to anyone visiting Paris
It is rare to find a big comfortable room , in Paris specially off the Champs .... This Hotel was perfect for our stay with relatively Big Room and Fabulous delicious Breakfast and above all .. an Elevator Service is Extremely nice and receptionists are helpful
We had a fantastic experience at Hotel Princesse Caroline. Clean, spacious, Friendly.. Easy to access Metro and The Champs de Elysees and the Arch de Triumph. Elevator. We did not have breakfast but we were told it was good.
We visited Hotel Princess Caroline for 3 nights. I am a travel agent in Los Angeles and researched for a hotel in this district in Paris. We were very satisfied and impressed. Wonderful location by the Arc de Triumph and many cafes and the Champs aleysse. Will definitely return and recommend to clients. A++ staff, cleanliness, location and cost. A real gem.
The hotel is spotless throughout. Our room was spacious and facing the back so extremely quiet too. Reception staff were all smiley and pleasant. We didn't take the breakfast option so can not comment on it. Great location next to the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysées. Would definitely recommend.
This hotel is perfect for first timers in Paris! Rooms were very clean and facilities were much better than expected considering the price. Right on the arc's and champs-elysees doorstep. It's across the street from the underground which is excellent and safe even at night. But by far the best feature of the hotel was the amazing staff. Sabri in particular was a gem, I had mistakenly booked my reservation late by a month and he was able to contact management and sort our booking out with no extra cost! Would be a pleasure to come back! P.S. This area of Paris has the best French bistro - Le Hide. A must try but book in advance as it gets booked up quite fast.
Stayed at Hotel Princesse Caroline for 2 nights in July. The hotel is directly off L’avenue de Wagram, on the side street beside McDonalds, literally 200 metres from The Arc de Triomphe and its Metro Station. We couldn’t have wished for a better location. This small, classy hotel was an exceptional find in terms of value for money compared with other hotels in the immediate area. Our room was on the top floor. The room was slightly larger than the standard tiny Paris room size. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of hanging space for clothes, and enough floor space that we weren’t tripping over our luggage. The aircon was very effective at keeping the room cool. There was a TV with good selection of channels including some in English, and a kettle was provided for making hot drinks. A small refrigerator was provided, stocked as a minibar. The bathroom was fairly large and had a shower over a bathtub. Water pressure and temperature were both fine. On the second night, I discovered that it was actually a Jacuzzi bath. However I was shy to use it, as the mechanism was so incredibly noisy that it would have woken the dead let alone our immediate neighbours! The toilet was separate from the bathroom. Sadly, there was no bidet hose provided to clean up after doing one’s business, which is somewhat unhygienic. We had a view into the inner courtyard, so there was no street noise whatsoever at night . There was a little bit of noise from within the hotel due to thin walls. I’m sure I also heard footsteps from above, which I found a bit odd as we were on the top floor! We didn’t take breakfast in the hotel, opting to use the McDonalds at the end of the street. (Their Cappuccino Daim is our new favourite! ). There is no shortage of good restaurants in the immediate area , and the small side streets in-between the long avenues around Arc de Triomphe offer some more affordable options. Turn left at the hotel entrance and there are some Asian restaurants and a couple of small supermarkets to stock up on snacks and drinks. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and always had a smile when we collected our room key. Checkout was a little slow with only one person manning the desk, which was no problem as this hotel fell into my ‘in no hurry to leave such a nice place’ category! Indeed, checking into our next hotel – a standard Ibis – was a huge disappointment after staying here at Princesse Caroline. All in all, a good stay. We would definitely consider returning to this hotel if we went back to Paris.
