The hotel was very good. The area was very convenient, easy to take the metro from the hotel, only 2 minutes by foot. Plenty of restaurants around, the staff also gave us a list of good restaurants, very useful during our stay!
We recently stayed three nights in Hotel Opera Frochot. The hotel was part of a travel package, but it turned out to be nicer than I would have booked for myself. Although the rooms were small (like all rooms in Paris), they were very modern and clean. The hotel is located just a block away from the Pigalle Metro station, which was convenient for getting around the city as well as to and from CDG airport. It is also within walking distance of the Moulin Rouge and Sacre Coeur. However, be aware that this area is known for its adult shops. There are also bars/clubs on the block—one of which still had people in it when we were leaving to sightsee in the morning. Although we always felt safe and weren’t bothered by a little street noise at night, this hotel might not be for everyone. But we enjoyed it and would return.
Stayed here for four nights, and since it was Paris, we obviously did not spend a huge amount of time IN the hotel!!! :) . the room was probably the tiniest that we ever got. and the bathroom even more so. That being said, it was clean and comfy and everything worked well. the room had a window that opened all the way, with a cute streetview. the furnishings modern, and everything clean, just the way I like it. the staff was helpful. One night we were looking for a liquorstore to go get a nightcap, and the staff gave us great directions. One morning we were looking for a quickie breakfast, and same thing, great directions and exactly what we were looking for. The bad things now: the area is kinda sketchy, one guy was getting arrested in front one afternoon...coulda been a bank robbery. A discarded, stained mattress stayed on the sidewalk for all 4 days we were there, just 30 or so feet from the entrance. The disco/bar almost immediately below/to the side was loud at night. I didn't mind that much because I brought earplugs, and we seriously considered going there anyway, but, some people might find that annoying. Lastly, one thing was pretty bad. We asked for them to store our bags on our last day, so we departed in the morning, and returned at 5pm. Our bags were still where we left them,8 hours earlier: next to the checkin counter, accessible by anyone. To make matters worse, this is where I lost/ got stolen/ my $40 velvety travel pillow. They couldn't find a safer place? But since this was the only bad thing that happened, I will give them the benefit of the doubt.
The hotel is in the heart of Pigalle and only a block away from the subway. It is located in an area with "adult stores" but there are several really nice cafes and restaurants near the hotel. We really enjoyed Pink Momma. The hotel rooms are small but very clean and well decorated The entire staff was pleasant and helpful.
Our room was super small, but the area it is in has a lot of restaurants and is very close to the Pigalle metro station. The staff is great! The Moulan Rouge is a few blocks away. There are some "family unfriendly" shops nearby, but also a lot of fun night spots.
Nicely located in front of a metro station and only 5 minutes away by foot to Moulin Rouge. The room was nice, clean, comfortable, and well decorated, We enjoyed the staff of this hotel, really so helpful.
A very lovely hotel, the staff is so helpful and takes care of your every need. Our room was modern and very clean, the breakfast was so good, fresh food and juices for just a fistful of euros. The staff recommended a quaint restaurant in the area. We will be back in this hotel for sure !
I have seen a couple of negative reviews of this hotel and I really don't understand how this is possible! The staff was amazing, our room was beautiful and clean everyday. The hotel has a very convenient location, the metro is just 2 minutes walking from there ! I would definitely stay there again if I have the chance to go back in Paris.
We stayed here for 4 nights. Bought the hotel as part of a travel package deal. Photos make it look larger than it really is. Is in an edgy, gritty, artist, hipster style neighborhood. Lots of bars , near the red light district, and Moulin Rouge in Pigalle district. Rooms are small and especially the bathrooms are tiny and laid out weird. Had to turn sideways to squeeze between the sink and shower. No space for toiletry storage and not even a place to hang towels. We are not huge people, nor are we small, perhaps a bit above average. The shower stall was so tiny that when you turned around you opened the door and water all over. That being said, looks like they have had somewhat recent remodel. Property was clean and well maintained. It was 2 blocks from a train station that seemed to be one of the more centrally located in the city. Very easy to get around. We were underwhelmed but figured this was a decent boutique European hotel......until the last night. A/C stopped working. We asked the clerk to have it checked when we went out. Still the same when we got back. Very hot. When asked about it he said open the window. The block had 8 bars and restaurants, all open late plus an all night sex shop. Way too much noise. He said no other solution and no other rooms. We complained, got some cold waters, and went back to the room. At midnight the phone rings and he said I have a room that didn't sell, you can move there if you want. Not sure why this option wasn't available at 10:30 (actually I am) but we moved and got a comfortable 6 hours of cool and quiet before we had to catch our airport shuttle.
The room was tiny. I almost didn't fit in the bathroom. But it was clean and nicely furnished. We didn't spend much time in the room because we were busy exploring. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was pretty conveniently located. We enjoyed our stay.
