I found the hotel to be very centrally located. The breakfast buffet was excellent. I had read other reviews about the size of the rooms but I found it better than average. Would definitely stay here again. Staff also spoke perfect English- I speak little to no French and was worried about that. A non-issue. Wi-Fi was excellent.

Tremendous staff -great breakfast and location. Walk a few blocks to the Champs de Lyse or to the Seine and the Eiffel Tower. Room beautiful. Had everything we needed.

Stayed for girl's weekend shopping trip. Convenient to good shopping, clean, quaint, comfortable. Really nothing to complain about. It was very pleasant.

The location is close to buses and train stations. It is a really nice area and place if someone books an expensive room. An inexpensive one will give you a very small room with barely any space for two people to move around

When I looked at the hotel online with my girlfriend, we fell in love with it. However, once we arrived there, our room was very small with barely any space for us to move freely and fit our luggage.

It was going to be an amazing experience... but my Chanel sun glasses vanished... left them on the desk/ next to my laptop... next morning it was when I noticed that they were gone... I have told the reception/ cleaning people seemed to have no idea what happened! Bitter taste!

The location alone made staying there worthwhile. Though small, the room was very charming and cozy. Bathroom did have doorstopper in awkward place that could have caused an injury. Lobby also charming, staff always professional and gracious.

Excellent location. Centrally located.Friendly and helpful staff. Always willing to assist you. Made us feel at home. Would definitely stay there again.

First time staying at the Melia Royal and thoroughly enjoyed it! The staff are extremely welcoming and helpful from the minute we arrived until the end of our stay. The rooms are charming and well kept. Delicious optional brunch provided every morning (for an additional fee). Lastly, I loved the location. We walked everywhere- 5 minutes from the Champs Élysées, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, etc, and it's right on the Seine so head east and catch tons of museums and churches as well as the beauty of Paris itself. Don't want to walk? Metro station is 5 minutes away. Definitely recommend!

We took our 2 Grand Daughters (13 & 18 ) for their first visit to Paris. We know Paris pretty well. While Melia is a wonderful hotel, 2 things to be aware of. #1. Do Not Make Any Phone Calls From the Hotel Phone. It cost me 25 Euros (about $38) to make a 2-1/2 minute to a mobile phone in Paris. I called 2 restaurants for reservations too, the 3 phone calls cost about E40 (about $60). The other issue, the hotel is in a very up scale part of paris, just about any top brand has a store near by. But there aren't any residential shops like pastry shops close by. There is a street about 5 minute walk with lots of restaurants. Also a few small grocery stores in 5 to 10 minute walk. Metro station is 3 minutes, very close and with Metro you can go any where quick. Altogether, we would go back and recommend the hotel highly. The staff is very very nice and very helpful.

Location is perfect, walking distance from Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, Arch de Triumph, Louvre. Metro is less than 100m away, River Seine is a block away. Hotel is very good for Paris standards, friendly staff, rooms are ok, not big but also not too small.

Anything you need is solved by the staff, location is outstanding and the room are very nice

It's a great hotel. The best location. Everything is within walking distance. The best service. And it is CLEAN!!!

Convenient location makes triangle between the Eiffel, the arch de triumph, and the Louvre. Keep in mind that breakfast is not included. Rooms are a bit small in standard size but they were clean. Standard rooms do not have a good view. If you can upgrade, you should consider it.

I really loved this place because of how close I was to everything. The room itself was a bit hot because we couldnt get the AC to work but otherwise the location was what made it great

We were booked into a horrible hotel and decided to move. For once a smart move! The hotel is conveniently located near point d'alma metro and in walking distance to the grand palais, the seine, the champs élysées. Lots of restaurants nearby. The service was fantastic, there is a nice reasonably priced bar in the lobby and the rooms are utmost clean, cozy and for Paris standards spacious. Very quiet as well. The bathroom was spacious with a big tub and a glass screen for a shower. Breakfast in the room was delicious and prompt. On the way out we saw that sir Simon rattle checked in. What's good enough for sir Simon, is good enough for me.

This hotel is in a fantastic location--one block away from Paris's most upscale shopping district, one block from the river Seine, three block from Champs d'Elysees, and a short walk from the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. We walked almost every place, which was a great way to see the city. The hotel staff all spoke English and was very helpful, especially when it came to helping us arrange transportation options. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are well decorated. The only problem is that the showers are a little small and awkward. Just down the street is a plaza with several restaurants. One of these cafes had a good breakfast for a reasonable price.

The staff was pleasant but we should not have had to go to a different hotel the first night because our room was not available [...]

This hotel is fantastic. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean, and the hotel seems to be recently renovated. We were even able to check in to our room at 9 am when we arrived from the airport! There is a metro stop at the end of the street, so it is extremely accessible to all areas of Paris. The view from outside the hotel of the Eiffel tower across the Seine river is unbeatable, especially at night when the tower glitters with lights. We mostly went sight-seeing during our trip and bought a 3-day metro pass, which was a great investment. There are quite a few restaurants in the area, though they seemed a little pricey by American standards. However, it is an upscale neighborhood, so that is to be expected. We had the breakfast buffet at the hotel one morning and would definitely recommend taking advantage of it at least once. The spread of breads, cheeses, pastries, meats, juices, etc is fantastic. I realized that I left my dresses hanging up in the closet after I crossed the Atlantic and was back home in the States. I called immediately (midnight over there) and the staff was very helpful in trying to find the dresses and have them sent back to me. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Paris!
