Our booking got canceled last minute!
This property was listed on multiple platforms. We booked this reservation several weeks in advance because of the good reviews. We traveled from London to Paris, arriving almost midnight on the day of check-in. The host canceled our reservation when we arrived at the Paris Montparnasse train station. They didn't even know that this property was double booked until I messaged them for the check-in directions! Our family of six, including 2 seniors and 2 toddlers were stranded in the middle of Paris at mid-night! We spent two hours calling and walking to the nearby hotels for last-minute stay. We spend the next morning moving to another hotel because the hotel the stayed the night before did not have available rooms for our entire trip. We wasted so much time checking in and out of hotels instead of enjoying Paris going to our planned excursions. Zero communication from the host or VRBO from booking to cancellation even when they charged us for the reservation. They have a no-refund policy if the booking was cancelled two weeks before the check-in date, yet they could just cancel our reservation the day off without any penalty. This is beyond absurd.
