I had a business meeting in Paris. The hotel looks ok from outside but from inside it’s very old and my room was dilapidated. 125€ per night is definitely to much for such an hotel. I would never recommend this hotel. Furthermore, the hotel staff was very unfriendly. If you can, stay away from this place!
Very friendly and helpful reception which has a free map of Paris, also stable WIFI. The room was smaller than expected but not too restrictive and our bathroom was quite large which was perfect for two girls traveling together. The shower was good and we always had hot water. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and we received extra blankets and good closet space. We did not have the breakfast at any point as we felt 8 EUR p/p a day was too exorbitant for our budget so just got some stuff from nearby Monoprix. The location and neighborhood is definitely the highlight as you were close to three Metros offering different lines and plenty of shops, grocery stores and patisseries which made you feel like a local in Paris. Not to mention is was just beautiful to walk through day and night. The patisserie below the hotel is nice, but down Alesia Road, towards Alesia station is a better one - Boulangerie Lea & Gilles - which has great service and even better nutella Financiers. The only negative for the room I would say is that the decor is a bit outdated and while I do not expect a 2-star to have a fridge, a basic kettle could be included at least. Also, we had to ask for toilet paper as ours was never replenished.
We stayed on our first trip to Paris three years ago and chose to stay again on our most recent trip. The two men on reception we dealt with the most were fantastic! Very helpful and very friendly, if they can't answer your question straight away they will research for you. The rooms have that Parisian charm that we wanted and the value is excellent. The bathroom is very spacious and everything in good working order. The room itself is large enough to put all our luggage down which is all we needed (we don't spend much time in the room when away) and bed was comfortable. Generally nice and quiet overnight for a good sleep, only had a problem with noisy neighbours on one night but that is not the hotels fault. Very convient for all areas of Paris as you are within walking distance to train stations on different lines. Area felt safe when returning late at night.
My boyfriend and I had a really nice trip to Paris. We stayed for 3 nights at Room 21 and payed 174 Euros for both of us. Breakfast included. We booked from booking.com. The bed was really really comfortable and we slept like a king and a queen. The staff was friendly and the reception had a 24h-service. They helped us with advices. At the last day our check-out was at 12 am and after that we could use the luggage room as long as we wanted. The hotel is nearby the metro (13,4), catacombs, supermarket,... The breakfast is okay: Coffe, tea or hot chocolate, croissant, jam and butter. I missed cheese, eggs and fruits, but I would book it again.
This hotel is convenient to the Gare Montparnasse, but out of the noisy traffic around the station. (We used bus line 58.) We had Room 56 on the top floor, with two windows for cross-circulation on hot nights, and a view of a park across the street. We’ll make this our Parisian home on future trips.
We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights. The neighborhood is nice and the hotel is easily accessible from metro stops Alésia and Plaisance. The men at the front desk were very friendly and helpful and they set up a taxi transfer to the airport for us which is much appreciated. They do offer a breakfast for about €5 extra a night which consists of 3 pieces of bread, tea or coffee, and an orange juice per person which is a good deal, but we found the women that ran the kitchen to be un welcoming and rude so after the 2nd breakfast, we just decided to find cafés in the city to eat at. But the hotel itself is a good deal in a safe neighborhood.
I stayed with my husband in Hotel du Moulin vert for 4 nights. We paid 70 euros per night which is quite an amount for the very few facilities of the hotel. The neighborhood is amazing, it is in a street called Moulin vert, 7 minutes walk to the metro station (Pernety) which takes you to good attractions in Paris (Like Champs-Elysées and Tour Eiffel). The rooms are tiny, we could hardly move in the room which had 2 small beds and a tiny toilet. The plumbing is awful, we could hear the water dripping all night long, and the sink was blocked several times. Breakfast is typical french, coffee and croissant, not bad. The hotel did something awful when we were booking from booking.com. They wrote that they guarantee free cancellations and refund, and the moment we added the credit card info they took the money and sent us an email saying that it is non refundable. I consider this fraud and awful reputation but it's what happened exactly. There are 2 people staying at the reception. When I arrived there was no one and I had to wait at the door for 15 minutes with the luggage till someone came and opened it for me. Those 2 men are not always there and many times we had to wait at the door until one of them showed up. Interned is ok and they have free WiFi in the rooms. It's a 2 stars hotel that is over priced for its services, still walking around the area was a blast.
I already visited this hotel three times in a year and every time I was taking my friends with them so every time we were booking 2-3 rooms. This hotel is ok except the fact that needs a good renovation! Since by my nature I am loyal to people n places I visit n I like the fourth time I had to go alone and I asked the director very kindly to give me a price! He gave me a price that I found much more expensive than other same category hotels in the same Neighborhood just few steps away! So I asked him very kindly if he could revise his offer though just next door hotels have better prices! He replied in a rude way that he doesn't have the time to negotiate prices with me and that is preferable to visit the other hotels! I am sorry but this is not a proper way to reply by the director to a regular customer who brings his friends n every time they book 2-3 rooms. I am in the same business and there are hundred nice ways to say that unfortunately this is our pricing policy and I would appreciate it! Conclusion! They lost me as Client and now we are frequent clients in a very near hotel!
PROS - The location is very good near to Metro, shops, laundry, restaurant and everything else. The staff are friendly and helpful. CONS- The room is a small and does not have ample lighting. Carpet is dirty with stains. Not soundproof
Our stay here was enjoyable. Location is great (park, many shops/restaurants/bars and metro nearby). Staff was friendly. Our room was showing some age, but for me this was not a concern (instead it added to the atmosphere).
