I was at the Gaston hotel on June 17-21. The hotel is very cute and chic, the staff very kind and eager to help you in any problem. The location of the hotel is very close to the Wagram subway station so you can reach any point in Paris very quickly. I thankS hotel staff for kindness and availability. A, and the location where breakfast is served is very exciting, and very good breakfast. From CDG Airport you can reach the hotel using RER or Roissybus to the Opera metro Station, and from this point with metro to the Wagram station. From hotel to CDG airport the staff can book a shutlle bus for 18 euros per person. Nearby hotel you can find boulangeries with a great selection of french bread, croissantes, cookies. By my point of view is a great choise. Thanks again, Gaston H. P.
We stayed for a long weekend. Easy to get to and find, with very friendly and helpful staff. Good beds and pillows and the decor was so interesting (very quirky and individual) that we walked down the lovely wooden staircase (they have a lift) to look at every floor. Breakfast was more than adequate with plenty of choice and it was very pleasant to sit and listen to the different soundtracks.each morning. We had a room on the top floor which looked out over the trees and it was quiet even with the windows open. The room was small but did not feel cramped as it was well laid out. Good soundproofed windows for light sleepers and working aircon. A small but beautiful bathroom with both bath and shower and Paul appreciated the no steam section on the mirror for shaving, good toiletries for me. I would definitely stay again and for those travelling from Gard Du Nord it is quick and easy on public transport - cheap too, 1 T ticket does it.
Of course this hotel is small, being a boutique type but it supplies everything necessary for a short stay! The decor in the communal areas and the bedrooms are modern but quaint at the same time, everything is compact and every last bit of space utilised...The bed gave me one of the best hotel sleeps I've had and the varied enough television stations provided me with sufficient entertainment. Even though the wifi in the hotel worked well for my needs. The hotel staff were all equally nice and polite, they were all very personable without it being forced and very helpful with providing directions to local shops and tourist attractions etc. There are a number of local shops up to 10 minutes walk from the hotel, some of which open late if you need any drinks etc. as the hotel bottled water and so on can work out quite expensive. It took about an hour for us to (slow) walk to the Eiffel Tower, we did this just to get some exercise and take photos along the way. Transport isn't too far from the hotel but you may need some help working out which bus / metro stop to be at and working out which direction to travel in. I recommend that you get a taxi to and from the hotel when you arrive at the airport (can be a little pricey) or end a day out. The breakfast offered cheeses, sliced meats, fruits, breads / pastries and cereals. There was enough to be satisfied and if necessary you can take an apple away with you or something. The only downside is that the breakfast area is tiny - being within the reception area and so on a busy morning you may have to wait a short while to be seated. Otherwise, there are no complaints with this hotel. I would happily return...I liked the view from my room also. It may have been a street view, but it was nice to step onto the small balcony and watch local Parisian life!
Really quirky and interesting hotel. Beautiful rooms- small but clean, welcoming and comfortable. Loved the little extra touches like the ability to borrow an umbrella in a downpour. Coffee-making facilities in the room would be my only suggestion to improve a great stay.
The hotel is clean, modern and well kept. The rooms are smallish but this is very normal for Paris. You can tell the hotel has been done up recently as the lighting is modern and there are nice details like the bathroom mirror appears to be heated as it doesn't steam up in the middle. The bathrooms are in great shape and the shower works well. There is a fairly good range of food at breakfast. The staff were all welcoming and helpful. In terms of location, the hotel is maybe 5 minutes from Wagram metro and about 10 minutes from Villiers. You can walk to Montmartre in less than half an hour and to the Arc de Triomphe in around the same. The area around the hotel feels safe and residential, without feeling too distant from the centre. We'd be very happy to go back, preferably tomorrow.
Staff were lovely and went out of their way to be helpful. Fairly quiet area and felt safe and friendly (surprising perhaps for Paris but then again I thought Paris generally seemed more friendly than in the past, except for the staff in larger shops). I'd definitely consider this hotel again if I could find good pricing on it. Our double room (R406) was pleasant but very small - wouldn't want to have had lots of luggage/stuff or would have fallen over it all. Perhaps there are larger rooms? The bathroom was good - excellent shower/bath. I thought the continental style breakfast over-proced at 12 euros each. We found cafes and pastry shops locally and had fantastic breakfasts for less than half that. But again, the Gaston staff were great at replenishing the various food and drink options.
Stayed here over the weekend. Somewhere close for the Paris marathon. I would definitely recommend staying here. Rooms clean and tidy. Breakfast maybe a little limited... But hey you are in Paris so should be wandering to a local café for breakfast anyway. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It was about a 5 minute walk to the "Wagram" metro stop, and around 30 minutes walk to the "Arc du Triomphe" Some nice bars and restaurants en route.
Clean n chic rooms, not too far from metro, free chocolate/ coffee, best of all was the friendly helpful staff - Garold/ Gerald (sorry we didn't catch your name, the blond tall one) and Julian were amazing. Thanks for all the help and hospitality. Great stay
This little gem was such a pleasant surprise when we arrived! A beautiful, modern hotel only a few minutes walk from the tube. Beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms combined with very helpful and friendly staff guarantees we will return again!
Travelled in 2015 July and never got down to writing the review, so here goes. Great place to come and relax after a tiring day exploring Paris. Rooms were nicely done and we had a road side view on first floor. Breakfast was sufficient and tasty to get us through the mornings. Close to the metro to travel around Paris. Neat, clean and welcoming hotel, staff treated us very well.
