I really enjoy this hotel. I stayed there quite a few times during a business trip as the location is good for that purpose. Rooms are super comfortable (even if not totally modern), I normally sleep very well there. It's placed outside Paris (Pantin) but very close to LaVillette area. You still have metro there, you have to walk around 8-10min to get to the nearest one (Hoche station, line 5). The prices are good for what you get, if you compare with the totally overpriced Paris average. I do not provide a higher rating due to the location of the hotel. The area is a bit creepy, specially if you're on your own. There's very few people on the street and unfortunately you don't have many stores there (you have restaurants, supermarkets, bakery etc mainly in 8-10min walk). Aside from that, wifi was normally not working very well neither.
Just 500 metres from Philharmonie de Paris, excellent stay for late concert. Off the busy street, very polite staff, good size room, double doors ( no noises), sound proof windows, short stroll to Canal and Parc de Vilette. Very much recommended if You want to come for late concert at 20 at Philharomie and don't want to travel back to Paris after it..
We had a very nice stay overall at Suite Home Hotel in Pantin just outside Paris. Our room where clean, spacious and had a great view. There's a big variety at breakfast in the mornings and staff always friendly and helpfull. Although a while from central Paris, subway just around the corner.
I booked this hotel with sky miles to save money, worst idea. The lobby is dirty, the room is old and gross. The smell of mold & cleaner in the bathroom burns your eyes. The floors are wrapped from water damage (mold source). The Hoche metro stop is beyond creepy! There are tons of men smoking cigarettes and leering at you as you exit. It didn't feel safe at all! We were afraid to go out at night. We decided to switch hotels. The staff was really nice. Although the guy at the check-in desk did tell us there was also a "lady of the night" that is usually outside (no biggie). Sadly, this hotel does not deserve a 3.5 rating.
The hotel was very basic. It was my first time in Paris and it was right round the corner to mainline trains which proved to be very useful. As I said previously very basic but very clean which made the experience great and the staff were very friendly and didn't mind that my French was bad; luckily spoke English.
We were on a 3 weeks European trip and stay here for 3days, when booking this hotel I missed read the overview and location. It's is very far from Paris, if you want to do anything in Paris you have to take the train, uber or taxi in. As for the hotel itself, it's not my cup of tea. As we walk to our room we notice all the nasty stains on the carpet in the hallway leading to our room, not to mention the strong chemical smell. Once on our room we see the same, the carpet was so nasty that we were too scare to walk on it without our shoes. The bed, it's not a real bed, it's a pull out sofa bed. Overall I will not recommend this place to anyone and will not return.
End of April 2013, very beautiful place. The room was clean and comfortable. The Hotel is not so far from the Metro (Port Pantin). The staff was friendly and helpful. It has also a private parking for cars in the basment. Awesome breakfast with croissants, fruit, yogurt, milk, coffee, juices and much more
Nice hotel just outside Paris with all amenities and nice morning breakfast. Facilities include free breakfast, complementary wifi, daily cleaning, gym, vending machine. Paid services include washing machine/dryer and iron. Room has nice bed with enclosed kitchen cabinet with heating plate and cooking vessels.
Tge staffs were so rude, They were not able to exchange 200€ note, They lied about having free internet connection, It was not working most of times, disconnection from net every 5 min, they said its because we offer this free, the room was very clean , had a great bathroom , nice view to the city , and you can make coffe for free.
I picked this hotel for my husband and I as it had the best ratings at the lowest price. As it was a budget hotel, my expectations were very low. To us, we knew it would be a place to drop our stuff off, sleep and shower. The hotel staff was very professional and friendly. Our room was very spacious. We had way more closet space, drawers and shelves than we needed for a 4 day trip. We didn't meet the 9am cut off for dropping off our dry cleaning to get it next day but to my surprise there was a washer and dryer that we used. It would've been better if there were shower curtains. Even when we tilted the showerhead towards the wall, we still got water everywhere. We ended up using our towels as extra mats. We always got fresh ones the next day but I hate being so wasteful. Speaking of towels, wash cloths would've been nice. The sheets were clean and soft. The comforter was very snuggly. I saw all the reviews about the sofa bed and yes, it is what it is. In all honesty, it wasn't bad. I slept comfortably. It squeeks a lot with every turn you make but if you have a nightcap or a few, you should be sleeping soundly anyways ;-) If not, you're not doing Paris right! What I mean is, enjoy the night life. It's wonderful! Paris is so beautiful at night! The neighborhood was excellent. It is very ethnically diverse and I can appreciate that because I like getting a variety of food. As you walk to the Hoche train station, there's a cafe for pastries, coffee, sandwiches and soups. We saw a couple sushi restaurants on the way. We stopped at what looked like the neighborhood diner. It was packed with lots of people at the bar at the front but when we walked in there were always empty tables at the back. The food was amazing, the price was fabulous and the service was exceptional. One morning we went to the farmers market nearby and picked up some cheese, a baguette at the bakery nearby and a chocolate croissant for around 10€. We had it at the hotel since we wanted wine too but didn't have a wine cork. 2 glasses of wine at the hotel was about 9€. The staff was nice enough to let us use the plates, a knife and napkins in the dining area. That was a quality breakfast right there :-) Near the Porte De Pantin station (1 stop over from Hoche) there's a crepe stand where you can get your choice of crepe or chicken biriyani. Near that Pantin train station there's also a fried chicken spot that's like a Popeye's but Halal. They had specials like 2 sandwiches, drinks and fries for 7€. I was loving the options since I have been living with such little diversity in Tuscany. If you're doing Paris on a budget I highly recommend this hotel. It's about an hour commute to all the tourist attractions but you save so much money even with the 5 day metro pass for 35€ and with such a great selection of cheap eats! Everyone we encountered in this vacinity were very nice, friendly, and spoke at least a little English. People were very responsive and always seemed willing to help. We walked the streets 2-3am some nights but never felt scared or unsafe. Nobody ever bothered us or gave off a shady vibe. I'd stay here again.
