Stayed for a night recently when attending a concert at the star de France No issues with the hotel itself however I would advise thoroughly researching how to get to places We thought we had but ended up in a undesirable place ..two grown men but still felt a little threatened when walking round The Stade de France is within a ten /fifteen minute walk
Second stay at a Campanile. Was not impressed. Uncomfortable bed...cleaning staff attempted to enter my room several times the morning I was due to check out....although I had booked a late check out for harassed to leave earlier after being told the hotel was fully booked. Did not appreciate that. Food was average....service was mostly basic. Definitely now off my list.
Good, smiley And helpfull staff. Especially Vladamir... Good view of siene...Thank you very much. Clean Room And bathroom. There is no noise from other rooms. Free WiFi. Breakfast is enough And satisfying
I and my 41 friends were there 01 April for 3 nights..Hotel is appr.14 km from Eifel Tower near the river..1100 Meters from nearest Metro station,400 Meters from Bus station.Room are not so big.No refrigator at the room.Always hot water. Some of my friend had a broken hair dryer..Wifi has a problem mostly..You have to change your wifi pass evey night at 1200 Am..Buffet Breakfest included. The staff was sullen.Always speaking in French. You say ''Goodmorning''They responce 'Bonjour''.. Price stability was excellent quality ..
This is not a hotel or area fro the faint hearted. In its favour the beds and bathrooms were clean and the rates were cheap for Paris at about €50 for a twin room. The rooms were very cramped and the staff not overly friendly although able to give the required advice in English. The RER was about 15 minutes easy walking away but the area from hotel to station and around the station were intimidating enough in the daytime. You would never venture out at night. I was in a group of rugby supporters so we had no problem but would never bring a family to this area or hotel. Even our group decided to use taxis rather than risk public transport late at night and that incurred a €30 fare per taxi. You should add that fare to the room rate and get a hotel in a better location.
Worst hotel, i would prefer hostel. Out of city, too far from transportation. Workers speaks french and the chef women insulting people in the breakfast. Not deserve to get 3 stars. Not even 1 star. Wont recommend.
1st This hotel is located in one of the most dangerous are of Paris according to the locals. 2nd the hotel stuff was not friendly and competent. 3rd you felt to be treated as in school by a bad teacher by the stuff sometime. 4th You asked to return your key and when we asked for it in return they asked for room number , they did not find the key and asked : are you sure it is your room number? We checked in with the same guy few hour before.
3rd budget hotel of our trip to France and for the price we got it for it was the best we had. The rooms were by far the most spacious, if a little dated. Beds were comfortable and the room had decent facilities. The location of the hotel was good for proximity to the Stade De France however main transport links to the city centre were 15 minutes walk to the main train station and 20 minutes to the nearest metro. With this you should take into account that the area is not the best area of Paris or St Denis, so keep your wits about you/stay in groups. The breakfast at the hotel was superb, providing food to suit people of all different nationalities/preferences, with a comprehensive continental buffet.
We paid over 90€ for 1 night. Poor general maintainance and bed quality. We went to see a concert in Stad de France and its about a half and hour walk. Breakfast is okay (around 10,50€) with a limited range of products. We would'nt recommend the hotel.
This was the third of the three budget hotels I had booked for myself and three friends taking in games at the Euro16 football tournament. The hotel itself was by far the best of the three having good sized rooms containing two single beds, a good sized bathroom and was the only one of the three that had a kettle, essential after all of the walking you have to do from this hotel to get anywhere. It also had it's own restaurant and bar, however it is in a very rundown area of Paris and after getting off of the train at St Denis station, and despite being four fairly burly men of ages ranging from 24 to 70, we all felt a little threatened and uncomfortable as we walked the kilometre or so to the hotel. We found out later there is a bus (no.274) which takes you to and from the back of the station but the bus stop is still a good 400 yards from the hotel and not very well located. The nearest metro station is around 15 minutes walk away at Pleyel, and from there all points of Paris can be accessed quite easily. The Stade de France is around a half hour walk away and again is through some very 'disturbing' parts of St Denis, on the way back from the game we found a short cut which didn't show on any maps, and this kept us away from most of the low life's. Now back to the hotel itself. It is situated alongside the River Seinne. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel is exceptionally clean. The restaurant has a limited menu but does not open until 7pm which was too late for us to eat in it before going to the game, something we had planned to do. We had two very comfortable nights in this good hotel. It's such a shame that it is in such a poor area of Paris. A thing also to watch out for is that the Paris One Journey travel ticket is not valid on the RER as far as St Denis. The ticket itself looks as though it is valid for bus, metro and railway but it is only valid on the railway in Central Paris. We were lucky to (eventually) find a station attendant at St Denis who was sympathetic when we couldn't get out through the exit barriers. realised we had made a mistake when we explained, and let us out of the station without having to buy another ticket.
