We enjoyed our stay. The villa is ideal for six people, with a wonderful location, lovely beaches and restaurants nearby, plus hotels serving delicious breakfasts. We particularly liked the pool and barbecue area.
A few improvements would make stays more comfortable:
1. Cleaning was superficial, and the floors still looked dirty. Thorough professional cleaning before arrival and weekly during longer stays would help.
2. Basic cleaning supplies were lacking, including a proper mop, cloths and bucket. The vacuum cleaner smelled of burning.
3. Appliances need servicing or replacement. The dishwasher leaked, and the ground floor air conditioners leaked and gave off an unpleasant sewage smell.
4. Terrace cushions need deep cleaning. We noticed small insects on the cushions and in the pool and experienced bites. The furniture and water quality need closer attention.
5. During severe weather, dirty water from the terrace flowed into the pool. We could not use it for three days while awaiting cleaning. Although the weather is beyond the owners’ control, the drainage needs checking.
6. We requested partial compensation for those three days but received no prompt response. The pool was a main reason for booking.
The villa has much to offer. We share these comments constructively, hoping that better cleaning, maintenance and communication will make future stays as enjoyable as the setting deserves.
