In a green setting this charming house is lurking at the bottom of the garden, close to the village center of Paradou, with its shops, its Wednesday morning market.

15 km from Saint Remy de Provence and Arles, south of the Alpilles, between Maussane and Fontvielle. Avignon and its festival at half an hour.

Great Location In A Great Town

Great location, steps from center of Paradou, and interesting property, which has been heavily upgraded. Owner should work to insure that it is cleaner, and better maintained. We had no soap, a dirty cleaning towel in the bathroom, air conditioning controllers with dead batteries, a few light bulbs that were dead. Once WE fixed these, things were far better. I would recommend a better cleaning before renting it out, otherwise a really nice property.

Black Mold

The house had mold in the living room behind furniture and we had to leave after one night. The person who met us did not speak any English so there was a communication problem. The owner refunded 5 nights stay. We could not get out of there before 10 am, because we had no where to go. Luckily I found another VRBO. I paid two nights and cleaning deposit, plus host fee and taxes for 7 nights because I wanted to escape. I should have gotten everything back because it was a health hazard, it would have been a kindness from the owner to refund all the money. I lung problems and I am on oxygen 24 hours a day. Serious health problem for elderly people.

Ideal location, very cozy home.

We have stayed before and recommended to others who have stayed. Great location - 45 -60 minutes to all the highlights of Provence. Walking distance to very good restaurants, bakery, butcher and convenience store. Comfortable and well furnished. Lovely shaded yard with several seating areas. Also, enclosed sunroom.

Fabulous location

This property is wonderful. Two comfortable bedrooms, both with air conditioning which we appreciated in August. A nice living room and kitchen, also washer and dryer. The outdoor areas are special, but it was so warm we only used them in the evenings. The house is a five-minute walk from the center of the village, where there is a good bakery, small SPAR supermarket with everything we needed, and a friendly cafe/ bistro with lots of indoor and outdoor seating, Bistro Castillon. Seemed popular with locals and visitors. The food was excellent. We also ate at Bec restaurant, which is more upscale. There is a on-star Michelin restaurant also, called Le Bistro du Paradou, but we didn't get a chance to try it. The nearby town of Maussane has lots of good places to eat on the central square, a very lively place. Less than half an hour away are some vineyards and Chateau d'Estoublon. The three of us had a great week there. A negative was the four locks that had to be locked and unlocked every time we left, which made it tricky if one of us wanted to stay behind, but it was a small problem. Also, be sure to get a little car because the garage and driveway are very tight. It's a wonderful location.

Great vacation home at the foot of the Alpilles.

Doris' home in Paradou met all our expectations. It was comfortable - especially the mattresses! - and well-equipped for our week+ stay. The neighborhood is quiet and Paradou is perfectly located for day trips to the sights of Provence, from Orange to Cassis; from the Luberon to Arles, and beyond. Highly recommended!

Jolie maison pleine de charme situĂ©e en plein cƓur du village au calme des voisins avec un jardin spacieux ombragĂ© et une grande terrasse baignĂ©e de soleil. Les commerces boulangerie au top, boucherie, Ă©picerie, restaurant en face de la mairie sont tous accessibles Ă  pied. La rĂ©gion quand Ă  elle est tout simplement magnifique ! Sehr schönes provencalisches Haus mit kleinen geschmackvollen Zimmern, einer perfekt eingerichteten kleinen KĂŒche. Herrlicher schattiger Garten, der den heftigen Mistral abhielt. Charmantes, altes Dorfhaus im GrĂŒnen

Wir haben unsere Ferien in diesem Haus in Paradou sehr genossen. Es liegt sehr ruhig, etwas versteckt aber trotzdem zentral im Dorf. Die Ausstattung ist wie beschrieben und war ausreichend fĂŒr Urlaub mit 4 Personen. Die Terassen mit dem grĂŒnen kleinen Garten sind das besondere an diesem Haus. Man sollte wissen, dass es ein altes GebĂ€ude ist, bei dem etwas Staub, Knarren und die ein oder andere Insekten dazugehören. Uns hat dies nicht gestört. Angenehmer unkomplizierter Kontakt zur freundlichen Vermieterin. Empfehlenswert!

Schönes Ferienhaus, ideal fĂŒr viele Orte in der Umgebung

Das Ferienhaus ist sehr zentral gelegen, dadurch kann man viele Orte besuchen z.B. Nimes, Avignon, Marseillie, Arles, Aix-en-provence etc. und es gibt unzĂ€hlige SehenswĂŒrdigkeiten in der NĂ€he. Es sind alle nötigen Utensilien im Hause vorhanden um den Aufenthalt so angenhem wie möglich zu gestalten. Einzig die Auffahrt in die Garage ist fĂŒr etwas weniger bodenfreie Autos nicht geeignet, aber freie ParkplĂ€tze in der NĂ€he sind vorhanden.

Heerlijk weekje in de Provence

Heerlijk weekje genoten van dit kleine maar complete huisje met super buiten-ruimten waaronder groot zonneterras. Auto keurig in eigen garage (waarvan de oprit behoorlijk steil is). Alle benodigde faciliteiten aanwezig, incl. gas-bbq. Rust en mooi weer was volop aanwezig.

Maison trÚs agréable dans une région magnifique !

Maison trÚs agréable, offrant de belles prestations: véranda, terrasse ensoleillée, salle de bain/salle d'eau dans chaque chambre, climatisation (ce qui s'avÚre vite utile dans la région!)...Le jardin est trÚs beau. Idéalement située dans le village du Paradou, au calme tout en étant à un jet de pierre des commerces de premiÚre nécessité, cette maison est le point de départ parfait pour découvrir la région (Saint Rémy, MouriÚs, les Baux de Provence, Arles, Avignon, le Luberon voisin, les chemins de randonnées dans les Alpilles...). Merci à Doris pour la facilité des échanges au moment de la réservation et à Nathalie pour son accueil chaleureux.

Exactement ce que nous souhaitions

En tant qu’habitants de l’IDF, nous sommes plus habituĂ©s au slogan « Ici c’est PARIS ! ». Nous avons dĂ©couvert « Ici c’est le PARadIS ». Merci Ă  Jean-Luc pour la qualitĂ© de son accueil. Quant Ă  la maison... Elle correspond en tous points Ă  la description. Tout marche... sans aucune difficultĂ©. La terrasse (solarium) est parfaite... Grande, plein sud, avec une vue magnifique sur les Alpilles. De plus l’endroit est au calme mais bĂ©nĂ©ficie des commerces de premiĂšre nĂ©cessitĂ© Ă  300 mĂštres, dans le village. Just prĂ©fect !!! Eine Terrasse fĂŒr Sonnenanbeter

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit diesem Feriendomizil. Als Ausgangsort fĂŒr alle möglichen Touren ideal und auch inerhalb des Dorfes ein charmanter Platz, vor allem mit der großen und kleinen Terrasse und dem Wintergarten, auch mit den fußlĂ€ufig erreichbaren GeschĂ€ften. Leider fanden wir das Haus nicht gleich, weil man uns die Adresse mit "Rue..." und nicht mit "Route..." angegeben hatte. Da konnte uns die Navigation nicht helfen. Die Kommunikation mit der Agentur litt darunter, dass der 24 Stunden-Zeitraum, innerhalb dessen ein EigentĂŒmer reagieren soll, jedenfalls am Wochenende zu knapp bemessen ist, so dass wir uns zwar direkt mit der Vermieterin auf eine Terminverschiebung verstĂ€ndigen konnten, aber mit der Agentur alles neu angehen mussten. Das war lĂ€stig. Leider waren auch gerade ringsherum heftige Bauarbeiten im Gange, insbesondere auf der Straße und der Zufahrt sowie in der Nachbarschaft - sehr sehr viel BaulĂ€rm. Wir hĂ€tten das gern vorher gewusst. Das Fazit aber bleibt: Wir wĂŒrden hier in ruhigeren Zeiten gern noch einmal hinfahren und haben es daher unseren Kindern und Freunden empfohlen, nicht zuletzt auch wegen des Direktkontaktes mit der liebenswĂŒrdigen EigentĂŒmerin.

Petit nid douillet au pied des alpilles

Idéalement placé pour la visite de la région car trÚs central ( les baux de provence, les carriÚres de lumiÚres, Maussane, Fontvieille, Arles, EygaliÚre, St Rémy de provence) personnellement nous avons tout fait à vélo (aux milieu des oliviers) sauf l'escapade à la mer au grau du roi ( 1h en voiture). TrÚs bonne literie. Nathalie et son mari nous ont super bien accueillis sur place.
