We wanted to relax at sea level after hiking the Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu. This experience was a better than we expected. We spent 5 days in the hotel's luxurious surroundings. The 2-room balcony suite was large and had a nice patio overlooking the ocean. The entire hotel staff were extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. Their restaurants offer very good food and the breakfast buffet was great. The whole visit was very full of activities due to the onsite travel agency, Venturia (Tikariy). They organized our transfer to/from Lima and offer really interesting day trips. We had been a bit worried that 5 days at the resort would be too long, but Venturia provided really nice outings. We really enjoyed the day tour of the Islas Ballestas on their yacht and the 'desert adventure' that ends with a dinner under a tent. In addition, the hotel offers a large number of activities, biking, sailing etc.
The beginning of our trip was met with flight delays and missed connections, but once we reached Hotel Paracas it was awesome! The rooms and amenities were great! The option I loved best was the ability to have in-room breakfast dining, without heading to the restaurant (part of the hotel fees paid). Toiletries kit smells delightful and there is a huge bath tub! The view of the ocean front is good too so do book a ocean front facing room. Food wise, I think their main restaurant serves amazing food, not like most hotels. This could actually be a very well rated restaurant and I've tried many Michelin starred restaurants. Sadly, the small seafood restaurant at the dock wasnt as welcoming. The staff seems disinterested in having us there.. Overall I think the experience is great and I would definitely go back there again.
It's a nice Hotel, quite good taste. Service fine. We had a big room in 2nd floor of one of the houses. Really quite. Liked the Breakfast and the good Sport facilities. The 'but': The SPA Area complete subject to a charge. Without that it would be a '4', I would come again
What an amazing 4 night stay we had in Paracas and at the Hotel Paracas. It's winter time in Peru, but we still manage to get some warmth on our stay. My girls enjoyed the pool, we enjoyed the games by the sand and we all enjoyed the 3 restaurants on the property! The rooms were clean and spacious. The bathrooms were beautiful and our favorite part was the little patio that all rooms have. From check-in to house keeping to restaurant food and their staff every thing was perfection! We can't wait to go back during the warmer months!
We arrived Lima and drove straight to Paracas, so we were a bit tired, but hotel employees hospitality and reception, let us to recover from the car travel and enjoy the hotel ! Great service, good restaurant, nice views !
We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and it was bliss. We just wished we had stayed longer. The room was very spacious and luxurious. The bath was particularly large as well as the separate shower. Breakfast selection was good and one morning we had it served on our balcony which was lovely. The hotel setting is lovely as it is right on the beach. The gardens are well tended to and there are 2 pools both of which are well looked after. The gym was small but fine and the sauna was also small. You had to pay extra for treatments and massages. We would definitely stay again if we return to Paracas.
This resort is 2-3 hour coach drive from Lima and it's situated on the edge of the Paracas nature reserve. It's setting is in a wonderful coastal location with sunsets over the penisula. The staff are very attentive and friendly and the villas/rooms are well spaced out in well cared for grounds. There is tremendous selection at breakfast with many vegetarian and gluten free options available. The English breakfast pyramid tea bags look very posh indeed! There are two pools - one for families/children and the other mainly for adults and this works well especially if you just to want to chill and relax in a cabana for the day. The travel agency service offered by the hotel was excellent and I 100% recommend an early morning kayak trip to see the reserve at its best. If you're looking to escape Lima for a couple of days and don't want to get on a plane then this place is excellent, especially if you can manage to go midweek since at weekends this place is popular for weddings and parties.
Our travel agent selected this hotel and WOW, what an excellent choice. It is located in the small fishing community of Paracas and the entire property is luxurious. The room was incredible, the landscaping and grounds maintenance was meticulous, the food in the dining room was 5 stars as was the service. Your can rent private sun cabanas around the pool (I do not know the fee). This is very close to a perfect score as far as hotels & resorts. We stayed at 2 different SPG Luxury Collection Resorts while in Peru. I will review the other hotel in “Puno” separately (which was a major disappointment and not nearly as nice).
3 of us just came back after spending 2 nights in Hotel Paracas and we are a it disappointed. The location and hotel itself is beautiful, however there are some facts that are a disappointment for me : - FOOD, terrible food. I can't even think of anything we ate there that was good. Something as simple as picarones, who we ordered specially in advance, was not good. Pancakes for breakfast were cold and dry (obviously made before hand and heated), a simple cheese sandwich which we ordered cold was sent hot, Salmon Tartare was overcooked and the avocado was ripe. Eggs Benedict were not eggs benedict, 2 made on a think toast, normal ham, over cooked poached eggs and a grilled sauce that was a bit burnt and didn't taste as hollandaise sauce at all. These among many examples in the 3 days we were there. Only good was Aji de Gallina, Pulpo al Olivo and Lomo Saltado, the rest should be revised really. - MUSIC, we stayed in 2 Solarium Suites, 1 in front of the principal pool and the other one in front of the family pool. The music in those areas was so loud that even with the soundproof windows it was uncomfortable. I had to call 2 times to ask them to please lower the music. I remember having this same issue in my last stay. I understand some music in the swimming pools but never to disturb people in the rooms. We went there to rest not to party and it was really annoying. The same applies to the lounge area in the main swimming pool, too loud. - SHOP I had to buy some pills for a headache and was surprised at the overprice. 3 times what I payed in the pharmacy 2 blocks from the Hotel. I understand they apply some charges but 300% ?? that is too much - GIM no bottled water and no towels. Had to ask for water (of any kind) and they took more than 10 minutes to bring 1 bottle. Why offer water and towels if there won't be any? - ROOM it was very nice, well appointed. Hard bed and the feather pillows should be checked because 1 was very flat. Nice view and wonderful bathroom. Specially loved their amenities. This is a very nice hotel but I don't think it is up to what the offer. This would still be my 1st choice to stay in Paracas, would check around other places to eat and would certainly bring noise cancelling ear plugs if staying in a sea view room to sleep my siesta (which amazingly are the noisiest ones while being the most expensive). Try to improve these things, after almost 2 years I still found the same issues.
In this tiny fishing village is a spectacular resort. First class all the way. The property is well designed and nothing is left to chance -the pool, the views, the bar, the casitas - all perfection. The casita is spacious and the sliding doors into the washroom slide all the way back to reveal a glass enclosed shower separating the bedroom and bathroom areas. Food was beyond delicious - especially the fish. We wish we had had more free time to just enjoy the space and all the amenities.
