Detached 3 Bedroomed Villa and Private Swimming Pool. This villa is ideally located for sea views and sunrise and sunset views. Located in the Venus Rock Golf Resort it is perfectly situated for golf lovers and tourists. For golf, it has the Tony Jacklin Secret Valley Golf course, the Ela Golf course and the Aphrodities Hill golf course all within 3 km of each other. Locally is the village of Kouklia, which boasts the famous Thursday Cypriot Night. 1km from that you have the village of Mandria which is famous for the best fish and chips in Cyprus with bars and a local beach bar. 6km from the villa is also the beautiful views overlooking Pissouri coastline from the Pissouri village which also boasts a Cypriot night on a Friday. Finally from the villa is the famous Pathos Harbour which is 20km away. For those history enthusiasts, there is Aphrodite rock amongst many other ancient ruins.

Beautiful Location and Views

Really peaceful villa location with outstanding countryside views and distant sea views. Best TV system we have ever had in a holiday villa. Good Aircon units all through the property. Lovely outdoor spaces with plenty of room around pool, under various shaded areas and at rear of villa. In our view, the villa would benefit from improved: Dishwasher - current one is not very effective. Crockery, especially mugs - would benefit from updating. Outdoor furniture - sunbeds and the wooden lounge seats are tired. Downstairs bedroom would benefit from blackout blinds for morning sunrise. Overall we had a really enjoyable time at the villa.

Holiday to remember for all the wrong reasons.......

This property is located close to Phapos Airport. Directions from the airport were fairly straight forward up to a point. The Villa is situated a little further along the road than indicated so we made a few circuits before locating. Some confusion was caused due to the fact that a large inflatable pool ball left outside the accommodation made it look already occupied. Also being after dark with little street lighting the allotted place to retrieve the key wasn't easy to find. Once inside the Villa the first problem we encountered was that none of the crockery within the cupboards was clean so we had to wash up! The extractor fan and tiles above the cooker hob were caked in grease and the kitchen bin had mouldy food stuck inside the lid. The next morning in daylight we explored the property finding that almost all of the outside furniture was either broken, falling apart or filthy dirty. The sun beds and cushions in particular weren't fit for purpose. One of the toilet seats was broken too. There had been a significant water leak under the kitchen sink causing the door to rot and smell. All the bathroom ceilings had damp spores and the shower heads scaled up. We immediately contacted the owner who said he would get maintenance to call in. After a week we hadn't seen anyone and required some clean bed linen so contacted the owner again. Finally the maintenance man arrived on day 9 of our fortnight stay. He fixed the loo seat and photographed the damaged sunbeds....noticing that we were using ordinary garden chairs to sunbathe on I feel he felt sorry for us and brought two 'borrowed ' beds for us to use for the last 4 days. Upon changing the bed sheets we found all the pillows were badly stained. Another point for concern was the scum mark around the pool which was due to people not showering before and after swimming. The outside shower was absolutely disgusting tho so I can see why people would not even bother. However, we did. Something more concerning was a little cubby hole area that could easily be accessed by children if the Villa was let to families. This opening has no door and contains old paint pots, gardening and pool chemicals. Highly dangerous. Last but not least there is no information book within the property. Only TV and Wifi instructions and a list of 'house rules' The only positive to report is that the property is situated in an extremely quiet location and not too far from the beach, supermarkets and taverns.
