Needs some repair
I’ll start by saying that I vacation at the beach almost every year. This is the first time I’ve had to contact an owner with issues. I normally just accept that I’m staying in a rental and renters generally do not take care of them like they would their own home. The pros….. location is great. The size of the unit is great. Most of the furniture and beds were fine. The kitchen was well equipped….
The cons… The kitchen has a waste water leak dripping onto the kitchen counter. This is from the unit above, and not the owners fault. But it was not corrected while I was there, nor did anyone even seem too concerned that I had dirty water in a food prep area. It would drop at random times and for random lengths. This tells me it had to be waste and not fresh water. The sliding glass door to the patio is practically useless since it takes a full grown man’s strength to close it back. There’s metal shavings showing that this has been an ongoing issue. There’s mold in one of the bathrooms. I expect some mold due to the humidity at the beach. The master bathroom has two very nice shower heads. One has an internal leak. I assume that was the odor we kept smelling in that bathroom. The bunk bed in the 3rd room is very wobbly. There is no storage for clothes at all in the third room. The door was never even addressed even though I reported it within an hour of checking in. The water leak was never fixed.
