We recently booked a room at Laketown wharf via Blue Swell. When we were getting ready for bed we noticed several bed bugs on the pillows and bed. We called the after hours number and spoke with the on call manager. She immediately shared her disgust and agreed that it was poor conditions. I requested for them to move us to another room since we are 600 miles away. She told us at midnight that the managers that could make that decision are at a conference. She then told me she would call us back. Once she gave us a call back, she stated that there were no more rooms and that we needed to figure that out. I told her that we needed our refund immediately. She stated that it would be process with whomever third company we used. I requested to speak to someone above her for better understanding since this is their issue. She told me that having nowhere to stay is a personal problem and she hates to be that way. I told her that she’s okay with us staying in a place with bed bugs, her response was that we needed to vacate the premises. She never stated that until I made that statement. I called laketown wharf after hours number expressing our concerns, the after hours staff told us to call Blue Swell( the rental property company). We have a baby and two small children. This has been a terrible experience. I don’t recommend Blue Swell nor Laketown Wharf. This is an unsanitary environment for anyone.
