Tropic Winds has only 165 units, which makes its 300 feet of uncrowded white sand beach even less crowded than most other PCB beaches. Pier Park is approximately 1.5 miles from the complex.

Wonderful place and exactly what the listing shows. It could have been a little better scrubbed but overall everything was great! Bring another garbage bag or two with ya ;) !! Tropic Winds was perfectly located. Quiet and less crowded.

Filthy room, non-responsive help.

My sister was getting married and she was staying at Tropic Winds. All in all 3 different groups booked rooms all through VRBO. All 3 were managed by different property management companies. They are not created equal. Renter beware! After visiting the other 2 rooms is clear this is an issue with the property management company and not necessarily Tropic Winds as the other rooms were perfectly fine. First upon arrival, there is no place to check in or understand where to park, how to get to the room, etc. We managed to find an elevator and got up to our room. You're required to wear bracelets to access any of the amenities on the property. There were no bracelets in our room. I sent a message via the VACASA email the night we checked in that no one ever responded to. Everything was sticky. It was like it was all "cleaned" with a dirty rag. The rug in the dining room was so sticky we had to wear shoes as our socks stuck to it. Curtains were ripped from their fixtures and hung in disrepair. Dust piled on baseboards and cobwebs hung in most corners. The carpet in the primary bedroom was matted and stained. The closet in the primary bedroom was a disaster with random things piled in. It's clear something horrible had mildewed and molded in the closet. The smell was atrocious. It was also the closet with extra blankets which were needed because it was cooler than expected. Every blanket in the closet smelled horrible. No screen on sliding door to the primary room. Stains on walls, dirt behind doors. Minimal, old towels available. We didn't even use the second bedroom so I can't speak to it. The next morning at 8:30 am after no response to my email I called to request bracelets so we could use the pool and hot tub and let them know about the state of the unit. The agent was short and curt. Never asked for my name or room number and said someone would bring some by sometime. When I asked when she said she didn't know, just when they could. This was our only full day at the property and our entire party already had access but we didn't. At 2:00 pm I called back. I was finally asked for my name. They said there was a ticket but not sure why no one had come by yet. At this point we were done. I advised we no longer needed the bracelets and that we would be happy to have this trip end. I was eventually transferred to Linda the team lead and she offered to refund the cleaning fee. I will read closely next time and never rent from a VACASA property again.

“Big Pictures” Disconnected & Dirty

May say that need extra time and money to clean because of COVID...absolutely not a thing. Had to wipe everything down ourselves and place hadn’t been vacuumed in I don’t know how long. Panther picture over bed had been shattered - didn’t notice until looked behind headboard and found the pile of glass. VACASA Team notified and relayed to their “Team” which showed up with a broom, spray bottle and mini mop. We said - vacuum please but didn’t have one and only vacuumed if unit had vacuum so we dismissed them. Screen door flapping screen, dilapidated patio furniture with soggy nasty rug. Advertisement nothing like reality. Closets were slammed full of furniture pieces and old comforters and stuff. Shower would not drain. Just a messy and patched together place. Appears owner is focused on turn and burn vs. a quality rental. Straight nasty. Lastly the “disconnected” piece. Zero internet, would not connect entire time with zero resolution from VACASA. College student traveling with had to go to Friends room to do assignment - annoying. So it was a dirty and disconnected stay - would not recommend and will not return. Ugh
