We booked 2 rooms and arrived on 12/27/17 before 1:00pm. However, our rooms were not ready until almost 6:00pm even though check-in was at 4:00p. The first night in #629, the heat failed, so we awoke to a pretty cold room. The problem was called in (12/28) and we delayed breakfast for a few hours until we were confident that maintenance had fixed the problem. The sink vanity in the #629, consistently backed up with water, and the bathroom exhaust fan randomly stopped working for over 6 hours one night and started working randomly again after 6:00am the next morning (12/29). We reported that problem to the front desk as well as the very dirty window sheers, and were told that there was no known problem with he exhaust fan and that the curtains would be reported to housecleaning. The curtains were still dirty when we checked out on 12/30. Because of an 12:50a flight on 12/31, we had to check out at 8:00pm on 12/30 instead of 12:00noon on 12/31 and earlier had been told that the hotel would credit us back 1/2 rate for each of the two rooms for 12/30. Our disappointment came when we later informed that we would not be issued a refund because the room had been booked through a third party (Orbitz). VERY, VERY, UNHAPPY about this.

The rooms are large and well designed. The place is well maintained and the breakfast is quite good — better than I expected. The only negative during my stay was the front desk staff, who never seemed to be around when needed and who seemed befuddled by even simple tasks.

Quiet clean great price with breakfast. Guava orange juice excellent. 411 is a very large unit

Had a great stay here, peaceful and very relaxing. Staff was helpful and kind.

Parking was great. Room could use a deep cleaning and extra blanket should be tossed it was so old. Breakfast was large with lots of choices.

We've stayed at this Residence Inn twice. We love the 2 br, 2 bath units they have at reasonable prices. Also, the hotel is nice and quiet and has a nice breakfast every morning. Unfortunately, our room, #510, was not in good shape. The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable. The bigger bathroom was a handicap accessible bathroom. Its shower only had a hand wand and the overhead shower head had been removed but not sealed properly so water shot up onto the wall and ceiling above the shower. The sink faucet was so loose that we had to hold it with one had to be able to change the water temp. The door handle on the bathroom was falling off, as well. No idea why they let that bathroom get in such bad shape because it is otherwise a nice large bathroom with a separate whirlpool tub. Also, I sat down on the side chair in the living room area and it fell forward onto one side - the front leg was broken off of it and hanging sideways off the chair. Sigh.... Our last surprise was when we were sitting at the dining area, working on our computers at about 10pm the 2nd night. I looked up when I heard some rustling around in the kitchen in time to see a small kangaroo rat come out from under the dishwasher and walk casually over to go under the stove. Cute little guy but not clean and not something you want to see in your kitchen. I told the hotel about all these issues and I hope this hotel gets their act together soon. A shame to see this property get run down like this...

The two bedroom unit worked perfectly for two families having two kids. The staff in the front was super friendly and accommodated all of our requests immediately and nicely. Recommend this hotel more than any others near the area.

Clean, large rooms with a living room space and a balcony. Full kitchen with a dishwasher and dining area. Outside BBQ grill. Nice large pool. Excellent free breakfast with lots of variety.

Very good location, room (2 bedroom suite) very spacious, clean, comfortable. Friendly staff. From the moment we were greeted at check in and during our stay, the staff (front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, kitchen) are all friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a full breakfast each morning and it was very good quality food with a good selection of hot or cold breakfast items. The grounds are well maintained. And, it's a great location, far enough away from freeway you don't get traffic noise, but close enough to get around.

Stayed for 2 weeks with our Standard Poodles while we attended the Dog Show and Palm Desert Standard Poodle Parade. They loved the dog park and beautiful grounds. We were minutes away from El Paseo restaurants and shopping, golf and the Indian Wells Tennis Gardens. Our room was perfect, fabulous breakfast and best staff ever! Highly recommend.

Pool: just right, Complimentary breakfast: great, Room: very nice

we have stayed at the residence Inn at Palm desert in the past, and have enjoyed staying at this property. nice rooms, nice amenities, tennis courts, pool, exercise room, and dining room. Nice place to stay!

The suite was very comfortable, clean and had ample space. Staff was very friendly and professional. We enjoyed the whirlpool and basketball court. Breakfast area was a little crowded but overall the hotel gave a sense of community. Would highly recommend it.

Great complimentary breakfast7tennis courts on site

Great hotel for attending the BNP tennis tournament. The tennis venue is not far away and this hotel has two great tennis courts for playing. Nice pool and good breakfast.

Rooms were very clean but needs updating. Tub plug was broken as was the sink plug. Smelled musty when we came back to room after being out during the day.

The staff was friendly, the rooms were great! There was nothing I did not like. Price was Not too bad! Definitely doing this again!

Good place to stay for a family of 4. 2 beds, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and living room made it feel like being at home.

It was our get-away to relax and the rate along with the fact that they were pet friendly made it worth the no refund reservation scare. The room was perfect, the staff was super, the breakfasts were great. Great place for my wife and lttle dog to stay to relax and visit the area.

It was a lovely experience and a great value...the breakfast was super!!!
