I recently visited the Parker looking forward to a delicious & pleasant lunch at Norma’s. My fiancé and I pulled in and were greeted by 2 very pleasant valets. As we walked near the first reception desk with a woman behind the counter - she failed to look up & acknowledge nor greet us. There is a 2nd counter and that employee failed to acknowledge us as well. There was a hostess near the entrance at Norma’s who was not very friendly. We told her we were having lunch there but first wanted to show my fiancé a quick view of the property. She refused us entry. When asked to see the manager - he also refused us as he was too busy and we could come back later at his convenience. He wasn’t too nice about it. I have stayed there before and have had plenty of meals at both restaurants. But the staff was unacceptable for my standards. We ended up having a lovely delicious meal at the Ritz Carlton with a fantastic view. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly and they were more than happy to allow us to view the property. The only reason I’m giving a 1 star is because of your friendly & professional valets. Needless to say.. I will not be coming back. There are plenty of other places to dine.
Spent 3 lovely nights here and could not have been happier. Check in was a breeze, I arrived late and tired and the staff even offers to walk me to my room but I choose to walk myself. The property is absolutely stunning, so well kept and so many hidden places to discover in this beautiful place. The room was large, spacious, clean and comfortable and they think of everything the toiletries in the bathroom were fabulous. There is also complimentary water in the room and the valet were very pleasant and always willing to help. I honestly I am not a fan of paying resort fees but in this case I think the resort fee is necessary and money well spent. They really gives you enough amenities and perks to make it worth the extra fee. I love that Valet is included in the resort fee. I had a great time and look forward to coming back soon.
I love the Parker, its garden, its pools, its interior design, its food, I really do but I decide to give him one star because of their pet policy After I decided to go there for the first time with my dog for 4 days as the hotel pretends to be Pet Friendly it changed my opinion dramatically about the hotel Upon check-in, you sign a waiver for your dog stating you have to keep him off lawn which is very constraining and that the pool is for 2legs only which makes sense. The fee for 1 dog is $200 per day (two hundred dollars!) and for this fee you have basically nothing. No dog bowl in your room or pet area. It does not stop there, you cannot bring your dog in the pool area as it is not mentioned in their policy Basically you can stay with your dog in the room and the restaurant patio The manager let me check out and reimbursed me as he recognized the pet policy was unclear. Staff has been very nice all stay but they should consider a pet friendly policy
We visited for a vacation and loved the property. The hotel is super cool and classic Palm Springs. We had two movie stars and an NFL player next to us at breakfast. The spa is also amazing. Budget a day for that alone. This hotel is highly recommended.
My wife and I first stayed at the Parker back in 2016 (before we were married) and fell in love with the property--from the enchanting grounds and the impeccably designed interiors (an eclectic mix of styles from the 1950s-70s), to the warm and friendly staff and fun atmosphere. When we got engaged, we could think of no other place we'd rather host our wedding. Though we live far away from California and were unable to find the time to travel to Palm Springs for a site visit and food tasting in the months leading up to the wedding, the event planning staff gave us every confidence that our day would be perfect, and it totally exceeded our expectations. Randy was so wonderful to work with from start to finish. Her thorough and detail-oriented approach to every aspect of the event made us feel comfortable planning from afar. While we knew, for example, that the food would be amazing no matter what we chose, Randy walked us through the menu over the phone, describing everything in detail and providing images so that we could feel good about all of our selections. The staff even created modifications and substitutions to our menu in order to accommodate individual guests' dietary restrictions. Upon our arrival a few days before the event, we were warmly welcomed by everyone. Randy had even arranged a wine and cocktail tasting so that we could work with our bartender to create unique signature cocktails using special ingredients that had been ordered just for us. When the big day arrived we were able to relax and let everything go just as it had been planned. For anyone who wants an elegant yet low-stress destination wedding, the Parker makes it possible for couples to essentially just show up and have the time of their lives. We trusted them and they took care of things we hadn't even thought of, adding special touches and surprises to our weekend that made everything feel like pure magic. We look forward to celebrating future milestones at the Parker estate!
I recently hosted a smallish wedding at the Parker and the best word I can come up with to describe our experience is magic. The grounds are like Alice in Wonderland - you never know what small surprise is around the corner. A quaint fire pit, a cool place to play croquet, hammocks to lounge in. And the food - hello. UNBELIEVABLY good. This is not your typical run of the mill wedding food - it’s a 5-star gourmet meal. The rooms are gorgeous and fun. The grounds are impeccable. The spa is wonderful - love that they have a big co-ed space to hang in. And let’s save the best for last — the staff. Let’s be honest, the Parker is hip and trendy and one would expect the staff to be standoffish and aloof. Nothing could be further from the truth - they are warm and friendly. When you are there, you feel like they are actually glad you came - imagine that! From the valet to the front desk to the waitstaff - every staff person we encountered was lovely. And the event planning team is superb. They work as a team and preform as a team. During the wedding, I didn’t even know they were there but yet every single detail ran like clockwork.
My friend got married here last November and we stayed here for 2 nights. I love everything Jonathan Adler, so this was like heaven to me. At every turn, there is an amazing design element waiting to surprise you. The rooms are beautifully decorated as you would expect, and the toiletries are top notch. The only gripe we had was that the bathroom location was strange and there was not a lot of privacy. It is easy to get lost in the grounds, but we thought it was a part of the charm. Highly recommended.
the hotel room, the garden, the swimming pool, and the restaurant were just beautiful. just a fabulous place to get relaxed and refreshed. Staff was also very kind and responsive. please note valet is manatory.
There is something a little magical about the Parker. Hidden away behind high hedges, the front door concealed behind a high white wall, there is a sense that you are entering somewhere pretty special. The rooms are large and well decorated in modernist appropriate furnishings. My room, and parts of the hotel look like they are ready for a bit of a refresher but that didn't detract from the experience. My favourite part was dining at Counter Reformation. Again, it is well hidden but worth searching for...the food and dining experience one of my best in the States.
In Summary - the Parker Palm Springs was a fabulous place to get married. Not only was the the vibe of our wedding magical, and the venue unique and accommodating, but the staff is beyond friendly and Shannon, the hotel's catering manager, really put her heart into making sure our big day ran smoothly. All of the staff on the whole property made us feel special. It is a California gem, and we feel so lucky to have gotten married there. Thank you to Shannon, and all the Parker Staff for making it happen!
