DO NOT STAY HERE. I booked this place for a one night stay during stagecoach and left withing 3 minutes of being there. After walking into the main office, I knew there was going to be some problems, but then I walked drove back to where our room was and saw a crack head with no teeth pacing back and forth out of her mind on drugs. There were doors with holes in them, the place looked destroyed. When I pulled up in front of our room, the door next to ours was wide open and had no lights on, was very strange and sketchy. I had my girlfriend wait in the car and went to unlock our door, only to find that the door was already unlocked. I walked in and turned the lights on and looked around. This place was not at all like the photos. I walked out of the room within a minute of being there and someone had pulled behind me and blocked me in. This, someone, was making a drug deal with the guy that was living in the room with the wide open door next to ours. The Palm Shadow Inn is not safe and not as it looks in the photos. I immediately went to the front desk to explain what was happening and he kept saying it's okay, it's okay. Then he said that I cannot cancel, so I disputed with American Express.
Bathroom with mildews, smells terrible and beds smell terrible and pillows very very old
Sofa bed was so bad that I don't think anyone would even pick it up from the curb if left out, arms had no fabric just worn lining. Did not use it as a bed so don't know comfort. Had microwave and a decent fridge, but no coffee maker or mugs so I used 2 of the thin plastic cups to heat water. Cracks me up that there is a pool area with some furniture, but the pool is filled with dirt. I just wanted a cheap place to spend the night near the polo fields and this served that purpose, but might be worth $10 more or so to go with a discount chain hotel instead.
There was a kitchenette but no eating or cooking equipment, all though the management upon request did supply a coffee pot. No ice machine. Management was friendly and willing to help where they could kitchen supplies just were not available.
