Loved our stay! Staff especially Paoblo were amazing, always willing to help and books restaurants or transfers. Well located within walking distance to all sites and a square with plenty of bars and restaurants just outside. Breakfast was a good selection. Our room was on the smaller side, ok for us but others may not like. Pool and garden areas are lovely 😍 Beautiful hotel.

The hotel itself is excellent. You feel like you are in a true oasis. However the immediate area around isn’t that great. During the day we felt safe to walk around. However at night it is a bit sketchy and the garbage from buildings kept piling up. Even knowing this. I truly loved the place.

Highly recommend this small boutique hotel.

What a wonderful experience. The hotel is tucked away in a lovely part of Palermo, easy access to many interesting places the train station and there are a number of fantastic restaurants that come to life in the evening. The staff at the hotel were courteous, professional, helpful and polite. The hotel itself is an oasis of calm. I would highly recommend.

This is a beautiful oasis once you enter the property. The staff is excellent. Paolo and everyone is so accommodating. Loved the feeling in this hotel. The only little issue is it seems okay to walk around during the day. However in the evening we always took taxis who end up charging you whatever they feel like

This place was great. The staff were so nice and helpful, the garden is like a lovely wee oasis and it’s all in a lovely area of Palermo that has lots of good bars and restaurants and short walk to all the touristy site seeing bits! Stay here if you can :)

Can’t say enough good things about Bastione Spasimo. The front desk staff were so kind and hospitable. The property, the room and the neighborhood were all beautiful. I had the best birthday ever and wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else next time I’m in Palermo. Highly recommend!! The garden is so peaceful and they really make you feel like you’re staying somewhere homey and cozy.

Mateo was excellent in communicating with me before coming over because I was going to be late. Siriana and Maria Laura were all so helpful during my whole stay and made my stay very pleasant throughout the 5 days I stayed at Bastione Spasimo, I would only suggest that the cleaning staff would clean the bathroom floor every day.

Beautiful property and rooms. Fantastic stone ceilings in the rooms. We walked nearby at night and found beautiful old cobblestone streets full of restaurants, such interesting shops, and art studios where the artists are working on their various arts while also selling their wares. Gorgeous arts and crafts, leather work, jewelry. Excellent service from Mateo and Maria Laura at the hotel. Mateo greeted us outside the entry way of the wall on day 1 and gave us outstanding recommendations for dinner. Maria Laura stored our luggage for us for a while after checkout while we walked the city and gave me a free bottled water as I left because I was thirsty. We were able to arrange with the hotel ahead of time a shuttle to transport us from the airport to the hotel. They take of you. You really feel like a valued guest. Wonderful shower. Beautiful gardens. Delicious breakfast with lots of choices, including scrambled eggs, yogurt, pastries, fresh pineapple, and satsumas. All within the old wall of the city. It’s like a haven. And the central train and bus station are a 15-20 min walk away, which is so convenient for those traveling by public transportation.

We came early ( off the boat from Naples) and they offered a space for our luggage, promised room 3 hrs earlier and feed us fabulous breakfast. Hotel is above expectations- it is set in 16 century defense wall. Rooms are superbly renovated with all the historical arches and walls. The atmosphere is peaceful with beautiful garden full of flowers and lemon trees.
