Rooms were clean but ever so slightly shabby. Shower was excellent and unlike many hotels the room had soft lighting. However, the blinds did not stop the 24hr lighting on the outside corridors. The biggest negative of this hotel was the restaurant - it played the same music, children singing nursery rhymes and Xmas songs, over and over again for three days. The service was slow and extremely surly, even asking for the bill (for the third time) was greeted with a huff. Food was ok but I’ve had better at cheaper prices. The pool is open until 10pm so be prepared for screeching and splashing noise until then.

I stayed a week and I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are a nice size, there is a pool. Wifi was awful at times. I had to sit in the lobby to get some work done. The staff was very nice and tried to help me. The hotel is pretty quiet during the day, most people are out in the day. I would highly recommend this hotel. The bartender doesn't know how to make drinks but you can just order a beer. The spa is nice and we got a really good deal! The breakfast buffet was like $7. It was perfect for $7. chilaquiles, eggs, pancakes, breads, black beans..etc.

Wonderful time clean safe . and helps where absolutely fantastic, Marco Antonio it’s terrific on sugestión what to do and see around Palenque and Chiapas as well julio citalan!!!!the food was excellent as well the service, great accommodations, very comfortable little paradise..

The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The setting of the hotel is gorgeous giving us a slight taste of the breathtaking beauty of the rainforest surrounding Palenque. There’s green everywhere you look allowing you feel as if you’re away from town. And it’s spa, we LOVED the experience of their temazcal. As for service, Marco, the bellman who assured us from day one, was INCREDIBLE! He helped us secure or plan out of trip and view and experience the beauties of Chiapas. We were truly lucky to have him while our stay at Misión. Wonderful experience at the Mayan ruins and waterfalls.

Everything was clean, well set out and comfortable. The pool looked clean and was very welcoming. We had the buffet breakfast and also had the buffet dinner. The buffet dinner wasn't cheap, but there was plenty of choice, the food was good and it was very convenient to be able to eat at the hotel after a long day out.

A few days ago I stayed here as part of a tour. the hotel really has an excellent setting with many birds and lizards to be seen in the grounds and I believe monkeys too although I neither heard nor saw any. The hitel offered an excellent and extensive buffet (180 pesos in October 2017), although this didn't open until 7.30pm. However it was well worth waiting for, and the different selections were well prssented, fresh and promptly repleinshed My only minor caution to other travellers is that in the dining and esepcially the bar seating area, there are a number of small steps which can easily trip the unwary-be very careful if carrying drinks (in fact, hotel managers please use tape to mark these as they really are hard to see and easy to forget But that is a very minor point and should not detract from you enjoying your sty as much as I did

We stayed in Mision Palenque during our roundtrip in Mexico. It was one of the nicest hotels we had. The pool and restaurant area were fantastic. We had good cocktails and the food was also a discovery, they present a special list of local dishes. Above all the staff was very very friendly and helpfull! Back in Belgium our stay in Palenque, the beautifull archeological site and the hotel Mision Palenque are one of our best souvenirs!

This is a nice hotel but we were completely over charged for buffet breakfasts which dampened the general good feeling we had about the place. The original booking didn't include breakfast and when I asked to add breakfast to my bill we were charged a hefty bill for buffet breakfast. I don't mind paying for a good breakfast but not if it doesn't involve a decent cooked meal, only one of the three meals was of a satisfactory standard.

Rooms are small, with a tiny TV and bathroom. Restaurant is really good and the gardens around the hotel are beautiful. Not a great building, but comfortable enough and the gardens and jungle like scenery make it a decent option for a small city.

My wife, 8 year old girl and myself all drove from Merida, Yucatan to Palenque, Chiapas, Mexico. About a 7 hour drive depending on how many times you stop. We had never been to Palenque before. We found a very quiet hotel - Mision Palenque Hotel on the outer area of town, with excellent service, clean rooms, and great amenities. Upon our arrival we were met at the entrance of the hotel by Roberto-our bell boy. He immediately showed interest in our stay and maintained this interest throughout. I am from the south U.S. and I appreciate hospitality when I see it. He is first class. He helped us arrange our 1 day of excursions to 3 different locations in the area. Palenque Ruins, Aqua Azul & Misol-Ha. Getting back to the hotel, everyything was clean and service was excellent when we needed something. I have one suggestion to make this place more pleasurable and that would be to work on the menu. The basket of chips and bread need to be fresh. We found a restaurant in the hotel district in town called the Mayan Canada which had excellent food. All else was great at the hotel. Thank You for a pleasurable stay.
