Married couple stayed for 5 nights with a friend in another room so we were there for long enought to get to know this place deeply. Im just gonna focus on the bad part as there was good things but bad experiences were too bad and could not give a higher rating that 1/5. 75% of the times when we went to the restaurant the service was so bad i could not just believe it. I cant remember slowest or worst service that i would have experienced those 75% times ever in my life and we are world travellers. Dont wanna waste my time to explain it more as its not my job to make them more efficient and more profitable. Just it was so bad im motivated to post a small review. Biggest downside was toxic waste in nature all over the forest after you go outside the grounds tourists cant go but we did in very early hours of the morning and noone stopped us so we walked everywhere we could and we saw so much waste and even toxic waste with chemicals still inside that are just thrown into woods that is just......
Place is on an island one hour from Puerto Princesa by boat. Relaxed and safe. The food is really good and not expensive for the standard of the resort. The beds are very comfortable and service good and staff are well trained and helpful. We did snorkeling but the corals are not impressive and swimming in the sea is not as ideal as parts are rather shallow and there are weeds on the seabed. We kayaked round the island in an hour and this we enjoyed (although this is not encouraged by the staff)
Fine service and lots of passion here. Sunshine, ocean, pool, diving, massage, delicious pizza, fresh fruit shakes, etc. We also experienced our first dive in our life here, kindly learned basic skills from the master at the pool, than started our adventure in the ocean with our master! It was sooo amazing.
We transfered from Blue Palawan to the Dos Palmas resort. We've been lucky enough to have the Blue Palawan sorting our transportation to the wharf leading to the island. After an hour boat ride, you realize how peaceful and relax this place is. The beach is good, the food was great and relatively cheap considering there's no other choice than their own restaurant, and the free snorkeling was wonderful! We been lucky again and got a early check-in (10AM) and a late check-out (3PM). We will be back for sure!
This island is the best place to go for a getaway! Peaceful ambiance the staffs are Nice and accommodating, The food are good, Buffet for breakfast and Lunch the selection of food are mostly Filipino dishes the kinilaw is the bomb give it a shot! If you want to arrange a sunset dinner, book it before hand they have the best sunset view and the table set up is Amazing so Romantic! The beach is Beautiful so clear and so blue you can see some baby sharks swimming around, free use of kayaks and snorkeling is the best! I'll be back for sure!
Dos Palmas island resort is an hour boat ride from Honda Bay wharf. Boat transfers are free but there is a one off environmental fee of 150 PHP per person. Great customer service, friendly staff. There is free buffet breakfast included with a great variety. Food is always fresh and delicious. Buffet dinners on offer certain nights which offer a tasty selection of restraunt quality food for 650 PHP. Absolutely delicious. All you can eat. Highly recommend. Nightly performances at dinner including traditional dance, firedancing and acoustic jams. Facilities include infinity pool, pool, basketball courts, volleyball courts, huts on the beach, kayaking, souvenir shop, water activites offered at an additional cost. WIFI in dining area and surrounding area. Rooms offer airconditioning and a balcony. No TV in our room not that it was an issue. Lots to do outside. Only complaint was very firm beds. Tours can be booked through the front desk at an additional cost.
So my husband and I took the Day tour in Dos Palmas and we were simply amazed of the peacefulness and the breathtaking view of the Island. Located just 20 minutes from the city it is indeed a great place to spend the day at. Its the perfect private island in Palawan to just bask under the sun and enjoy the scenery. The staff were very accommodating, professional and not to mention the Buffet was outstanding! They have a variety of Seafood on the menu you'd lavish every choices from the appetizer down to the dessert. The place is really secluded and peaceful highly recommended for those who'd want to escape city life.
If you a looking for a relaxing weekend without internet or phone services, this is the place to be. Service and amenities are great, you can go snorkeling and scuba diving and island hoping as well. Three star because I'm expecting wifi and cellphone signal.
The resort markets itself with excellent service through experience with your stay. I highly recommend this resort if you'll stay in Palawan for a few days. Rooms: We (6 adults & 1 kid) stayed in a 2 room villa near the beach. The rooms have clean sheets, air-conditioning and hot water which are the essentials to any stay. Although they don't have TV and the signal is weak for both Globe & Smart. Internet is not available as well, but you can have it in their restaurant for free. If you only need the essentials, then you'll be comfortable in their villas. Amenities: They have a pool with jacuzzi near the restaurant. Unfortunately there's no kiddie pool. There are billiards, ping pong tables and videoke rooms for everyone to enjoy. Everything is free except for the latter as they charge 100/hr. They also have a free snorkling session which they'll take you to a remote hut in the sea. Plus, a free tour to the white sand island near the resort. You'll have a lot of activities to do here so your stay will be maximized. Food: There selection is mostly filipino food. The taste is okay for a non-picky eater. Price is reasonable (200 - 300 php per orde rand serving size is good for at least 2 pax. Breakfast is buffet style, wherein they serve the bread, fruits and desserts in a long table. The omelettes, bacon, sausages etc. are served per your request so each serving is fresh. You can order as much as you want. Service: This particular aspect is where they truly shine. They execute their service when you least expect it which is why they have a lasting impact. First, me and my kid were playing soccer in the sand around 2pm in the afternoon, and they served us cold water and towels on the side without my request. Second, while we were walkking and exploring the resort, it started drizzling. We didn't mind it at first, since we can just go to the pool and swim anyways. Their staff, on a bike, gave us umbrellas and towels without us having to request. We were very pleased with their service at that point. Third, it was breakfast time and it started raining. They saw us from or villas and they said that they'll have a van pick us up instead. We were all ready with our umbrellas, but they insisted that we get picked up by them without our request. These little things make this resort one of the best in Palawan.
Good points: 1. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating 2. The room was clean and comfy especially the beds! 3. There are 2 pools and there's jacuzzi so you'll really enjoy the water 4. They provide other activities like visit to an island and snorkeling 5. Buffet breakfast 6. They provide towels when you dip into the pool and if ever you're going to the beach. It's separate from the bath towels you have in your room Points to improve: 1. Communication with client upon reservation - I just had a hard time communicating with their sales officer with regards to our senior citizen discount though it worked out in the end 2. More fresh sea food Thing I didn't like: 1. yes, it was beachfront but no one was swimming at the beach
- Free full breakfast
- Free WiFi in public areas
- Onsite dining
