Lovely classic 60's style apartment in really great location.
We had always loved Llafranc, and this apartment looked ideal as it was in the older style; varnished wooden doors and furniture, tiled floors and simple whitewashed walls. The place did not disappoint. We preferred it to the -in our opinion- bland modern buildings. The terrace with awning was lovey, great to eat and just sit out on. It was not overlooked particularly by neighbouring properties as many are. Also, it was an easy 5 minute walk straight down the road to the really lovely beach with swimming, choice of restaurants / cafes / boat hire and food shops, also the agents office was very close. Three bedrooms, a shower room and kitchen, well equipped. if you haver a car, we paid a very modest fee for the underground garage space which was fantastic as the small town was very busy and on street parking not guaranteed. NOTE: garage was good for small to medium cars only as tight fit!!
Three negatives from our point of view: 1. the proximity to one of the single one way roads out of town, so the occasional screaming scooter and noisy car was right past the building later at night, but this was really not a major issue in general for us. 2: the bed mattress liners really should be replaced.... plastic and very worn.. we removed them and put a bedspread from the other room down under the sheets. 3: (this is simple and inexpensive), fans would have made sleeping on hot still nights much more comfortable.
Overall, a wonderful stay.
