The staff gave us a recommendation for a restaurant for dinner, and booked a taxi for us. They mentioned it was a 15euro taxi ride. turns out the restaurant was closed that night (every Tuesday), so thankfully the taxi hadn't left yet and took us to another restaurant. Our taxi rides were 50euro. The next day, we had to take the local train to Padova, and asked the front desk about the train schedule. He told us it left every 20 minutes. When we got there the next day with our bags, we found out that the local trains leave every 2 hours, and had to wait an hour and a half outside. I'd just be careful of what they say and confirm yourself. Also, the resort is within walking distance of nothing. Either get a car or plan on staying put.
I stayed a weekend night at the Radisson Blu Resort, Terme di Galzignano, enjoying a large corner suite on a high floor with a commanding view of the valley. When I first arrived at the hotel, I was worried as I turned my car prematurely and entered a shockingly dilapidated storage and "construction" area that looks like a graveyard for hotel equipment. The exterior of the hotel is nothing to behold. Thankfully, I righted myself and found the front entrance. I was pleased, therefore, when I stepped into the lobby to two friendly Reception staff and a modern, comfortable building with nice amenities. The outdoor pools are well maintained and the grounds surrounding the facility are pleasant, with many birds singing their songs. In all, it is a peaceful and tranquil environment. One minor niggle--the signage inside the campus is poor at best. There are several buildings, none of which appear to be marked with any signs that can be viewed from the access road. Pay special
Stayed in the Majestic Building, booked through the Club Carlson website. On the positive side, the internal decor of the building was nice, and the thermal pools were excellent. However there are many downsides unfortunately... The building exterior is ugly, in need of painting, and there were adjacent derelict concrete structures. The worst aspect of the stay was that I booked a suite, which was clearly described as having a separate living room. On arrival I found that the living room was combined with the bedroom, no separation, so effectively a junior suite. As I was staying with an 18 month old child, the separate room was the main reason for selecting this hotel. The front desk staff insisted our room was a suite, and that they only had 5 rooms with separate living rooms and they were not available. There was no attempt by the hotel to put right this deception. I also found the food at the hotel to be in adequate for a resort hotel. Breakfast was good, but the lunch and dinner service in the restaurant was a limited menu served at restrictive times. This would not have been a problem except that the bar menu had even more limited food options. Thankfully after consulting trip advisor we found some excellent restaurants nearby.
It is a little confusing which hotel is which though it seems all three hotels (I think) are somewhat associated. The name of the complex might be Radisson Blu but I think the main hotel is the Hotel Majestic. I don't know the other hotels names in this complex. In any case, i found the correct hotel on the first try driving in in the evening and checked into my room. Luckily, I corresponded with the hotel beforehand and learned that dinner ends serving at 930pm and we got there at 9pm in time for dinner and we had the degustation menu which was great. I read some of the reviews of the hotel while I was there and I wasn't sure that they were fair but they could have been about the other two buildings. But the furnishings were all modern and recently renovated; and there were some indications that renovations were still ongoing behind an awning behind the large thermal spa/swimming pool. The tub and shower fixtures were certainly of new design and required a little bit of fumbling before figuring out one knob controlled the temperature and the other the flow. The right knob, clockwise, went to the spigot, and the other direction to the showerhead. Not immediately obvious and I didn't get a face full of water, so I'm not "heated" about this :-) Towels are thick and plush. Housekeeping was almost invisible and reception was most helpful with suggestions. Many of the guest were Germanic speakers from either Germany or Austria and it seemed that this little patch of Italy hasn't been found by too many Americans despite its proximity to Venice, 45 minutes from the airport. Bravo! Prices were a bit higher this visit due to proximity to Easter holidays.
Good points: great location. Bad points: Insects Indifferent staff Easy downgrades and no refund for this Dirty rooms No internet We were travelling (me, my wife and our 8 month baby) booked a spa suite in Radisson Blu Resort. Two days before our arrival we received following letter: “We have to inform you that due to extraordinary maintenance of the thermal pools, our Hotel Majestic will be closed from 22nd January to 26th January 2017 included. All rooms reserved in this period will be booked from 22nd January at the same price conditions in our Hotel Sporting (with free upgrade upon availability).” We arrived in the hotel late in the evening. After we entered our room we immediately found several dead bugs in our bathroom. I went to reception and asked to change the room. They gave us new keys and.... it was junior suite (lower category room). Again i went to reception and again they gave us new keys. Now it was spa suite in other part of the building. Though on the next day we found another dead bug in this room (in the conditioner), we decided not to move (seems like the problem of the whole hotel, not particular room, since all the bugs looked the same). Another moment was that wi-fi was not working all the time. Reception always said they were changing their provider and internet would be working tomorrow. 22.01.2017 in the morning, we packed all our bags and left them in the room. People on reception said they will move our bags to our room in Sporting. Late in the evening, we came to the hotel and found that our room category was decreased again. The conditioner system was working so loud, it was not possible to hear other persons words if you are not staying right in from of him. Reception said they have no rooms of higher category available (they were all booked) and they would send a guy to look at conditioner. He came and decreased speed of the conditioner almost to zero (that is how they repair conditioners there I guess). No decrease in price was offered, they just offered us standard room for a night (since the agreed that conditioner was still broken). We immediately decided to move to other hotel. We recieved no refund for 2 remaining nights.
It's a very good Hotel: Kind People around, good Harmony, fantastic Therme -Water. Very good Restaurant : genuine and fresh food and a very Kind service. Thank you to Miss Carmen , the sympatic touristic Guide ,for the very good advices.(she's near the consierge).
I've been here for a business event: we had a 2 day workshop in the meeting room. The hotel is quite nice, recently renovated and stylish. Some rooms are really big (might be even too big) and the area around is beautiful. The workshop had some outdoor activities and, thanks to the variety of places in the garden, was not difficult to find different spots where to work. I also appreciate the kitchen and the restaurant offerings: at lunch it's really nice to sit on the pool side in the shadow and talk with colleagues. What else? The view to the Golf club it's marvelous, the pity is that only members can get inside.
Located in an amazing and well maintained park, this hotel profits from the outstanding service, balneology and the closely located hundreds of cultural treasures. There are few details to be improved but in general we had an excellent stay. Second visit within 8 months for spoiled travellers is already a recommendation ;)
This was a truly memorable stay. so peaceful environment away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Staff, room and food excellent. Taxi is a bit expensive. Would strongly recommend to use the local advisor Carmen. she is extremely helpful and speaks great english. the train station is nearby and 1hr to venice to make it a great day trip. Carmen also showed us a medieval village and a visit to the monastry which was really enjoyable and refreshing. The monk we thought was italian but actually from USA after we asked for a translaion. lol. Gym, pool and excellent views all round. Aqib Dar
This hotel is more targeted to tourists but I spent one night for business. It is set amongst a nice garden, a golf course and has a big and hot thermal pool accessible directly from lobby. Lobby and restaurant area are nice. Staff was nice and helpful. As Gold Elite I was given a 15% off on extras but I was not upgraded. So what's the problem? well have a look yourself at the pictures, my room was fine, big enough but worn down and the wardrobe was not very clean - Staying one night I didn't bother to mention it to staff. Another weak point was the temperature inside the room - 26C despite the heating of my room being switched off. If the rate should be as good as the one I got this time I will go back anyway.
