Welcome to Temporary Sanity Vacation Beach House—a comfy, coastal home just steps from the sand and designed for laid-back beach days and long evenings around the fire pit. Whether you’re here with friends, family, or your pup, you’ll love the big private patio, open living spaces, and fully stocked kitchen. Come breathe the salty air, spread out, and stay awhile.

**Guest Access
Guests enjoy private, exclusive access to the entire home, including all interior spaces and the fenced outdoor areas.
Check-in is seamless with keyless self-entry. We respect your privacy throughout your stay and are always available via the app or phone if you need assistance.

**Booking process
After booking, you will receive a message asking you to confirm your reservation and digitally sign our standard rental agreement.
Once signed, you will be emailed access to your Guest Portal, where all important information lives, including check-in details, WiFi, and local recommendations.
Your entry code will be released 48 hours before check-in inside the Guest Portal.
Early check-in may be requested through the Guest Portal when available.
A $25 per dog, per stay pet fee applies and can be paid through the Guest Portal or HostCo Store.

The house was very welcoming and I couldn't believe the wonderful details like water on the night stands, bathrooms were stocked with extras qtips, hair dryer etc. The kitchen was amazing, had everything we needed. I've never stayed in one that actually had spices and olive oil etc. Amazing.Clean, organized, and a 5 Star hotel couldn't beat it.

Great location. House well equipped. However family room on lower floor, kitchen and dining area plus 2 bedrooms up steep stairs. Not ideal with young children. Listing was accurate, but further details sent by host suggested there was a hot tub. Host explained that the information was ‘generic’ to several properties. This was misleading and unfortunate.

This was the first time that we used Vrbo. We usually stay at hotels, but this was a nice change. It was nice to get away from all the people at X games. Being close to the beach was amazing. The Strand restaurant had amazing food as well.

Super cute house! Plenty of beach toys, wagons, chairs, cornhole, kitchen items, etc. Very clean and comfortable stay. 1 min walk to the harbor and 2 minute to the beach side. We saw seals, sand dollars & hermit crabs!

Leave your worries at the door

This is a beautiful property. This rental is clean and quick access to the beach where you can leave your worries at the door. Conveniently located a few steps away from the beach. We brought our furry family members and we all had a blast. We stayed the week and were energized by the end of our stay. Definitely recommend this property to anyone who need to have their own private beach getaway and get a quick recharge before heading back to the everyday hum drum. Will stay here again in the future.

What a treat

We loved this house. The location was perfect for getting to the beach. The out side courtyard area was fabulous! The dining room was large enough for my family to come over for dinner. Communication with the host was the best we’ve had yet. We would definitely come back!

Thanksgiving/70th bday/Retirement Celebration

We loved the location-0ne block to harbor and beach. Many areas to congregate and enjoy family inside and out!! Stocked with EVERYTHING you need from kitchen to beach supplies. Very clean and beautiful. Close to corner store and local eateries-we didn't try them but nice knowing they were within walking distance. Our experience wS definitely a 5 PLUS!! Fabulous!!!

My family travels all over the country and stays at vrbo locations. This was the finest location of all the places I have stayed. It was well stocked, immaculate, well designed, fabulous amenities and such a kind host. When my family returns to Oxnard (as we will yearly) this will be where we stay. We have not one complaint!

Space was good, 2.5 bathrooms were great, layout of condo is a little unusual. We had a lack of hot water in downstairs shower for some reason, but did not notify property managers until after our stay because of our busy schedule. Seals nearby were heartwarming and funny! Short walk to beach. Love the 2 king beds. Another small issue was no vent in queen bedroom which made temperature regulation a bit of an issue. If we could have closed or covered the downstairs vents, it would force more cool air upstairs. The little harbor near the condo is very pretty!

Temporary Sanity Achieved

We stayed here for the week of Thanksgiving 2022, with our two adults sons and one daughter-in-law. Overall, it was a very relaxing stay, and we appreciated that our fur babies were welcome here. The location is very convenient, and the street is pretty quiet with friendly neighbors. We are originally from Ventura county, and return at least one week every year for vacation in Oxnard, one of our very favorite places in life! The home was very clean and attractively decorated, and Lisa and her housekeeper were very attentive to any questions or needs that we had. They were generous with household paper goods, soaps, etc., which we appreciated, as we have stayed in many vacation rentals that greatly lacked in that area. The kitchen was well enough equipped for us to prepare a Thanksgiving meal, however we had brought disposable aluminum pans, which were a lifesaver, as there are no baking/casserole dishes. Otherwise, there are plenty of pots and pans, utensils etc., and the appliances are good. All that being said, be warned that all of the beds are extremely firm, but not a deal-breaker for us. Also, the living room could use some more seating for a family gathering. The current seating can really only accommodate 3-4 adults comfortably. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the home to future travelers.

Family Reunion

We enjoyed the beach house very much. The rooms and bedding were very comfortable. Nice to have one master and full bathroom down stairs. Kitchen updated and had all the necessary utensils and cookware. The location was so nice. You can see the sun setting from the family room and balcony. Relaxing outside in the comfy couch and chairs was very nice. The courtyard is enclosed so it felt private and secure. The drive way accommodated 3 cars easily. Plus the garage could park one car. Easy access from garage to the inside stairs that led up to the main living area. Close by casual restaurants and others within 6 miles. We really enjoyed Yolanda’s for Mexican food and Andria’s Seafood. The only concern was the kitchen nook window. It would not close properly. Thank you Lisa for being a wonderful host. We will be back when we can!

This property was perfect for our family and friends. It was clean and had everything we needed for the days we stayed. Walking distance to the beach and harbor. Convenient store located close by in case you need something . Plenty of parking space and the outdoor space was amazing. Overall a great place at a great location, it was perfect for us.

Fantastic Family Fun

The property is very clean, welcoming and well maintained. At one point there were 8 staying in the house & the house accommodated everyone easily. The outdoor area is pleasant with a sitting area and a table accommodating 8 easily. The property is a short walk to the beach. All-in-all it was very comfortable. We all agree a return visit is in our future!
