Heartland Hideaway in the Heart of Owensboro

We’d like to welcome you to the Heartland Hideaway! This home has 2 beds, 2.5 baths and a pull out couch to comfortably sleep between 5 to 6 guests. Located in east Owensboro near a plethora of restaurants, markets, and things to do, you can experience the city life while enjoying the hominess of a quaint neighborhood. Perfect for busybodies and homebodies alike!

Our spacious home has one queen bed in the master bedroom with an attached bath and a spare bedroom with two twin beds and a separate bath, all located upstairs. The full laundry room is available for use, stocked with an iron, detergent, and dryer sheets.

Downstairs features a beautiful living space which has a flat screen television, books, board games and a pull-out couch. The TV has full access to Netflix, Prime Video, and a few other entertainment apps. We’ve also included a gorgeous dining space to seat up to six guests.

The kitchen is fully stocked with all the things needed to accommodate for cooking large dinners or just popping meals in the microwave!

There is a stationary bike located in the garage for those who love to hit the gym and a walking trail called “The Greenbelt” just a short walk away. Access to parking in the garage is available upon request.

We invite you to check out our gorgeous, fenced in, backyard while you stay! In the summer, the banana trees are in full bloom, and they give a tropical vibe. The fire pit, surrounded by Adirondack chairs, is available for use throughout the summer and fall. There will be firewood located in the garage, however if you use it, please replace it. Huck’s gas station is located just across Highway 54 and they keep plenty in stock


The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and 2.5 bathrooms, and there's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and a coffee maker.

I booked this house for the week of Thanksgiving after reading the reviews. It was pretty clean and had plenty of space for our family to visit us while we were in town. We were in town due to a family medical situation, and it was nice to have a comfortable space to visit. It was pretty well stocked except for no shampoo or soap in the showers. Luckily, it is located very close to a grocery store, and we were going there anyway. (I left some toiletries behind for the next guest). I would have given a 5-star if we hadn't slept terribly the entire week. The mattress feels like an air mattress and gave us both some aches and pains. There are no curtains in the rooms, so the sun wakes you up bright and early. No sleeping in on this vacation. Aside from being exhausted throughout the week, the home served us well for our family purposes.

Stay here! We came to Owensboro to visit our grandchildren and this was the absolute perfect place! The house is comfortable, there was room to spend time with family and play games, and the kitchen was perfect for making a few home-cooked meals. The hosts have paid so much attention to their guests needs and comfort. Cannot recommend this place more!

Heartland Hideaway

This property was the perfect place to stay for our family. We took a trip to visit friends near Owensboro. It was my husband and myself along with our two kids (3&4 years old). Communication with the property manager was excellent and the house itself was newly updated, clean, had what we needed and most importantly we felt safe in the neighborhood it is located in. This location is close to downtown, restaurants and stores. I highly recommend this property.

Half Marathon weekend

We were in town for the Wendell Foster Half Marathon race. Heartland Hideaway was probably the best place that we have ever stayed in.
