This is an oasis - the gardens are beautiful and the whole complex just has a quality feel. The reception kept in touch with me ahead of my arrival and made sure that I was looked after upon arrival. A superb place to stay - large rooms/bathroom, great veranda overlooking well tendered and tranquil garden. Lovely garden swimming pool with sun loungers and lawn. Staff exellent and looked after us very well - even had menu's from local restaurants and staff happy to reserve a table. Great breafast served on the veranda. Highly recommend for a stay in town.

We had a relaxing stay here. If you're amidst a Garden Route trip, Outdshroon is definitely a must-visit town and Hlangana Lodge is a perfect spot to crash in. The check-in was pretty smooth and our honeymoon suite was perfectly nestled right in the heart of the property. Cape Karoo Restaurant is around the corner where the woodfired pizza was amazingly delicious and Cango Wild Ranch is also down the road where you can find a lot of fun activities and encounters with the wild animals.

Pretty lodge

We only had a one night stay here so it was a quick visit, it exceeded our expectations, it is a very pretty place with well kept gardens and our room was very modern. The hotel doesn’t do evening meals but will recommend a restaurant nearby and book it for you they also booked the Congo caves for us which is a twenty minute drive and worth doing the staff were very helpful. Breakfast is just continental but you can pay a small fee to have cooked, there was plenty to choose from.

This would have been a fantastic stay but we did book economy rooms and they were fairly basic compared to the rooms with private terraces onto the main gardens. Economy rooms seem to be for the drivers (mini bus and coach drivers etc) so I recommend checking where your room will be and perhaps going up a level.

We had paid for our room in advance. Our room was 10 degree centigrade on arrival and took 4 hours to warm. When I complained to the duty manager in the morning she just shrugged. There was no remorse nor an apology
