A journey is never a departure, it is very often a return, a return to what we feel is home.

In Otranto, on the edge of the new town, and just a few steps from the sea, there is the "Giardino dei Gelsi," an evocative dwelling immersed in the great breath of an ancient garden.

A ball of vines rolls among the citrus and olive groves. A handful of pine trees reclaim the air, while flowers and fruit trees add a splash of color.

A colonnade, like a track from a still time, marks its soft gait and stillness.

Each step is a newfound look, a new light, a minimal and light breath.

The "Mulberry Garden" is an authentic, essential, Mediterranean bed,

built like a nest, sheltered by the foliage.



The six double bedrooms have separate entrances to the garden, and are furnished with care and simplicity.
