The house is comfortable and spacious.

On the first floor there is a living room at the entrance, an internal kitchen, a wide bathroom and two bedrooms: the first one is a double room with a big wardrobe and a bed whose head is a window facing east; the second one is a twin bedroom with a wardrobe and a set of bunk beds. There is also a sofa bed – a double one – in both the living room and the kitchen.

The furniture has been made of stone and wood by local craftsmen under the supervision of a famous architect.

The house is provided with:

Fantastic terrace in perfect location

The terrace is huge and you have a wonderful view. The interior could have some renovation and the layout is not optimal. But it worked great for our family. There were aircondition in every room, a nescafe machine and a washing machine on the terrace.There are many stairs up to the house, and the entrance is in a very narrow alley.A perfect location in the middle of the old town with a lot of good restaurants, gelatoshops and small stores.The house is only for commercial rental, so nobody is living in the house. Only communication via whatsapp, but i worked great.Overall a wonderful vacation due to the location, the city ans the terrace.

House with good potential in a great location

The house is in a great location in old Otranto and has beautiful outdoor space. We loved the terraces and spent most time out there. The hosts are vey responsive and helpful. However they do not live in town and that might be part of the problems that need to be fixed. The house feels a bit neglected , as for cleaning (kitchen and outdoor space) and maintenance of appliances (few examples: the refrigerator freezer door was broken, the kitchen cookware, dishes, glassware, cutleries were insufficient, the Nespresso coffee machine broke after first use, etc..). Finally the online listing misrepresented the availability of 2 bathrooms ( one of the bathroom is in a separate space at the first floor and is not connected to the main house, there is no elevator connecting the 2 properties as listed). We made a mistake as we thought that there were 2 double bedrooms (we did not pay attention while booking attracted by the photos of the outdoor!). The second bedroom has bunk beds. It is a home suitable for a family with kids , not to two pair of adults. We made it work and enjoyed our staying anyway, using the comfortable bunkbed mattresses on the couches. Overall the house has the great potential to become a "prestigious" apartment (as stated) but as for now is quite far from that.

Schöne Unterkunft mitten in der Altstadt mit herrlichen Dachterassen

Das Wichtigste vorweg : Die Dachterassen sind einmalig schön. Die Wohnung zieht sich über mehrere Ebenen hin,liegt mitten im Centro Storico und Gott sei Dank etwas abseits der touristischen Rennstrecke Via Garibaldi.Es sind 2 Eingänge da.Wir haben immer nur den oberen ( Via Piacentini ) genutzt.Wenn man dann rechts geht,kommt über kleine,ruhige Gassen schnell zum Meer,wo auf der linken Seite ein schöner Strand ist (Spiaggia libera und auch bewirtschaftete Abschnitte.) Die 3 Terrassen:Die 1.ist überdacht,verfügt über eine eigene Küche ( Gasherd,Spüle,Grill ),Tisch und Stühle .Dort kann man immer Schatten haben.Die 2. Terrasse liegt ein paar Stufen höher und hat vor allem Sitzbänke.Dort kann man abends gut lesen.Ausserdem hat man eine gute Aussicht über die Stadt und zum Meer.Bei guter Sicht sieht man die Berge Albaniens.Auf der noch zwei Stufen höheren 3.Terrasse stehen einige Liegen.Auch von dort ist die Aussicht phantastisch.Die beiden oberen Terrassen bieten keinen Schatten.Wir haben eine Plane durch die Stäbe der Pergola gelegt ,die hoffentlich überlebt. Die Schlafzimmersituation ist nicht ideal : Das grosse Schlafzimmer ist ok.Das kleine mit dem 2-stöckigen Bett arg klein.Das dritte Schlafzimmer liegt ausserhalb der Wohnung und ist nur über den Aufzug erreichbar. Das Wohnzimmer und die Küche sind auch ok.Die kücheneinrichtung entspricht italienischem Standard ( d.h. wenig Geräte ) Die beiden Badezimmer ( eines in der oberen Wohnung,das andere bei dem dritten Schlafzimmer ) sind ebenfalls ok. Service und Information sind eher zurückhaltend,was aber nicht unangenehm sein muss.Italienische Grundkenntnisse sind sicherlich von Vorteil. Trotz der kleineren genannten Einschränkungen wegen der tollen Terassen und der schönen Lage eine absolut empfehlenswerte Unterkunft.

Il massimo in un centro storico.

Abbiamo trovato la casa di estremo comfort e estremante spaziosa. Gli interni sono molto curati ed estremamente puliti, ogni stanza è dotata di climatizzatore di alta qualità. Gli arredamenti sono decisamente nuovi e in ottime condizioni. Vi sono molto armadi dove riporre i propri indumenti. Stanza da bagno con doccia idromassaggio , tutto funzionale. Gli esterni sono eccezionali : 3 enormi terrazze (su 3 livelli ) estremamente illuminate e in una di esse c'è una grande cucina con cassapanca , tavolo da esterni e sedie. Sei in pieno centro storico , all'uscita della dimora sei nel cuore di Otranto. I proprietari francesca e andrea sono persone fantastiche , disponibilissime per ogni tipo di consiglio. Voto complessivo della casa : 9 Semplicemente GRAZIE ! Massimo

Excellente situation

Points positifs : Superbe aménagement des toits pour la vie en été Points négatifs : La maison ne dispose que de 3 chambres et non 5 (voir l'annonce) - 1 avec couchage pour 1 couple - 1 petite avec lits superposés pour enfants - 1 dans une annexe avec 1 lit 1 personne ( chambre humide et sans chauffage) les autres couchages sont des canapés 1 place, dont 1 dans la cuisine et l'autre dans l'entrée. Cet ensemble est donc décrit à tort comme constituant 5 chambres. Nous étions 7 dont 2 couples et 3 enfants. Un couple de parents a été obligé de coucher toute la semaine de façon très inconfortable. Difficulté aussi à prendre les repas à l'intérieur par mauvais temps; table petite ne pouvant pas recevoir 7 pers. Nous n'avons pas eu à notre disposition les 3 vélos notés dans le descriptif. Nous pensons que l'annonce est à revoir et aussi son tarif à cette période.

Superb rooftop terraces

We loved our holiday in Otranto. This apartment is in the best location with fabulous views from the terraces. We were given a friendly and helpful welcome by Andreas and the accommodation was clean, secluded and quiet yet just steps away from cafe's, bars, the Castle and the beach. We were particularly impressed by the quality and variety of food in all the restaurants and the service and friendliness of the staff there and by the rest of the community that we encountered. We also enjoyed buying freshly caught local fish and veg to cook in the outside kitchen. I'm looking forward to booking again in the future. Many Thanks to the owners.

Ho soggiornato in questa splendida dimora, con mio marito ed i miei due figli, dal 9 al 15 agosto 2015. Il magico contesto in cui è situata ci ha regalato cene indimenticabili sotto un cielo stellato tra mare e storia. L'ubicazione della casa, ci ha permesso di accedere direttamente al centro storico con tutta la sua movida, negozi e spettacoli senza avere ogni sera il disagio di cercare un parcheggio e nel contempo di godere dello splendido mare degli Alimini, raggiungibile in soli 10 minuti di auto. Le tre terrazze esterne su più livelli ci hanno regalato cieli stellati unici, così come lo spettacolo pirotecnico del 14 agosto pressoché fantastico. Il proprietario è una persona estremamente disponibile e gentile. La casa è dotata di tutti i confort, dalla lavatrice all'asse da stiro con ferro, dalla connessione wi-fi ai condizionatori. Due cucine (una interna ed una esterna) e doppio accesso alla casa di cui uno con ascensore esterno in vetro. Consigliato.

Casa e location incantevoli

In pieno centro storico di Otranto abbiamo soggiornato in questa storica dimora con finiture semplici e sobri arredi che mantengono l'antico sapore dell'epoca. Ottima climatizzazione, letto matrimoniale con rete, materasso e cuscini, nuovi e super comodi. Le terrazze panoramiche con vista mare, castello e vecchi tetti della città offrono la possibilità di vivere comodamente all'aperto senza uscire di casa. I padroni di casa, gentili e molto disponibili.

Fantastic house in the old town

My husband, three-year old son and I stayed in the house at the end of September for 10 days. The house was fantastic. We loved the outdoor kitchen and roof top terrace - it is really peaceful there, gets all the sun and made the holiday very relaxing. The house is in a great location - very close to the castle in the old town and an easy walk to the beach and all bars and restaurants. We had hired a car and enjoyed a few trips out (Gallipoli is worth a visit) but also enjoyed spending time in Otranto. The owner and her husband were really helpful. He met us and described where everything was and could not have been more friendly. He even helped us pay a parking ticket! Would thoroughly recommend the house.
