The positives- lovely location, around the corner from the main area in the old part of town.- Comfortable bed- fairly fast response to repeated power failures - nice little balcony overlooking street with food store directly across the road - person who met us on arrival very nice. The negatives- a bit more rundown than expected- the second bedroom though not expected to be used was not set up- beds not made up, curtain not properly installed- unused wiring ( well covered) jutting out of walls in two places - problems with power outages, which were in fact dealt with by an electrician successfully after our several attempts on our part were only partially successful - no lighting in entrance on outdoor pass leading up to second floor apartment (or maybe we could find just not find the switch to turn on) Luckily we had a flashlight - need to remind guests that leaving the key in the apartment on departure may cause big problems if the gate at street level is locked- which it often was)and you no longer have a key to open it

This apartment is in the perfect location! -A supermarket directly across the street and cafes, restaurants and shops right around the corner. The sea as well! The apartment was equipped with everything we needed and the terrace was perfect for eating or just hanging out. Otranto is a special place and our experience was made extraordinary by staying here.

Lovely apt close to the ocean

We very much enjoyed our stay. Maria was a great host and gave us helpful information about what to do in Otranto. Apt is very close to the boardwalk, local beaches and the old city centre as well as restaurants, cafes and a supermarket. Very clean and well-maintained. Private parking was a bonus. Great base for visiting Lecce and the nearby region.

If you find yourself visiting Otranto, this is a GREAT spot

I recently stayed for three weeks at this VRBO and it was great! The place itself has everything you need for a short or long term stay. Maria was great prior to check in, day of check in and during my stay. The location cannot be beat you are short walk away from everything Otranto has to offer. There is mercato (market) across the street which supplies just about everything you need. Next to that is a macelleria (butcher shop) if you are looking to cook at home. The beach and the boardwalk are a short two minute walk in addition to numerous restaurants, cafe's/bars etc. The location cannot be beat! The flat has plenty of space, plus a balcony, all the cooking supplies you need and a washing machine with a drying rack on the balcony. When, not if, we return to Otranto I will be coordinating with Maria to stay again!

Great Location and wonderful host

We stayed 2 months in Otranto at this unit. The location was superb with easy access to Otranto’s old town, boardwalk, and beaches. The unit was well supplied with everything you would need for a stay, although for a longer stay the kitchen counter area was a bit small. Having a garage to park in is highly recommended in Otranto. The garage was underground the apartment complex and gated. The apartment complex was a bit noisy, mostly because of a dog that lived there and barked day and night. The host contacted the building manager on our behalf and hopefully the situation will be rectified soon. With a longer stay we did have a few things that needed addressed and the host Maria was super responsive and easy to work with.

Sehr gute Lage: Supermarkt mit langen Öffnungszeiten (abends bis 21:00 Uhr, auch am So. geöffnet) gleich gegenüber, Strand, Altstadt, Bäcker, Restaurants usw. fußläufig sehr schnell erreichbar, ausreichend günstige Parkplätze direkt vor Ort bzw. in der näheren Umgebung vorhanden,ausreichend große Wohnung für unsere Familie (Eltern, 3 Teenager) im 1. OG (kein Lift, breite Außentreppe), großer Balkon, verkehrsreiche Straße, abends bei geöffnetem Fenster auch nachts noch Verkehrslärm, übliche Ausstattung der Wohnung, entsprach unseren Erwartungen;Catia hat uns persönlich empfangen, war sehr freundlich und gut erreichbar, spricht ausgezeichnet deutsch: Vielen Dank!

The appartment is minutes walk from al the restaurants and beach. The place is very clean but kitchen, bathroom and sofa are old and could use an update. But for the price we paid we can't complain. Overall we had a pleasant stay in Otranto!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft im Herzen Otrantos

Maria hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und uns die Wohnung sowie die Garage gezeigt. Die Wohnung war sauber, das Bett superbequem, der Balkon ein klarer Pluspunkt und die Lage absolut top, man ist quasi direkt im Zentrum. Die Ausstattung ist prima, für uns wäre ein Toaster toll gewesen, ansonsten war alles da. Das WLAN ist leider nicht zuverlässig vorhanden. Was wir persönlich nicht so schön fanden, war, dass die Putzeimer und Lappen offen hinter der Badezimmertür standen, das könnte man aufgrund der Größe der Wohnung sicher anders lösen. Wir würden trotzdem sofort wiederkommen und empfehlen die Wohnung gern weiter.

Il top a buon prezzo nel centro storico di Otranto

Appartamento grande e ben arredato, fornito di tutto, come da descrizione. Proprio a due passi dal centro storico e dal mare: il market di fronte e il forno vicinissimo hanno reso la nostra vacanza ancora più comoda . La proprietaria è stata sempre super disponibile per risolvere qualche piccola esigenza. unica piccola pecca, l’accesso al garage ha richiesto un po’ di manovre e il wifi di sera perdeva il segnale. Consiglieremo questa location a tutti i nostri amici.

Wunderbar

Die Wohnung liegt total zentral und hat alles was man braucht. Sogar eine Waschmaschine. Der nächste Bäcker ist 2 Minuten Fußweg entfernt, der Supermarkt genau gegenüber. Im Nu ist man am Strand und in der Altstadt. Maria spricht sehr gut deutsch und ist sehr zuvorkommend und nett. Der Garagenstelllplatz ist super! Alles in Allem sehr zu empfehlen Danke Maria
