Thon Hotel Panorama

3.5 out of 5.0

This Thon hotel is approx 500 meters away from Oslo main street Karl Johan as well as Oslo Town Hall. Lot of restaurants, pubs etc very close. Efficient online check in when reserving at Thon web site. As always excellent braekfast With all you need. We had a large room with seating for four persons. Very clean and maintained. Receptionist very serviceminded. Free coffee and tea in reception area.

Nice hotel in the center of Oslo, close to everything, 5 min. walk from the central trainstation. Nice breakfast and smiles in the reception :-) I had a very nice view from my room on the 10th floor. There is no gym but they told me that they are working on getting an access to a gym nearby.

The location is good, the room was clean - but very simple, the staff was friendly and efficient. If you just want a place to sleep and nothing more it can be a good choice. The breakfast was average with a decent selection, but nothing extravagant. There is no gym.

Thon Hotel Oslo Panorama is ideally located in the city center, a few minutes walk from the Opera, the Central Station or the Havenpromenade. The rooms & studios are comfy and cozy, but nothing quaint or charming though. The service staff isn't the most friendly I have ever met in my life, I must say. But the rates are reasonable, so why not after all.

I have stayed at this hotel for business trips many times. Clean, comfortable and spacious rooms, comfortable beds. Good service, good breakfast buffet. Many rooms are furnished with desk and sofa, some rooms have a kitchenette and a seperate bedroom. Most rooms have a balcony or windows with a view of the city. Bathrooms are small but clean and new.

Ppted for a nice double room with balcony and great view of the city. Buffet breakfast was also good and the service crew were always all on smiles. As it was a short stay, we were not very particular about how big or small the room was (as seen from some reviews). The shower room had everything we needed e.g. hair dryer, shower stuff, towels, which we were satisfied with. Bed was comfortable and we had a great sleep. Good wi-fi strength too! We asked for a late check-out (2.30pm) and were pleasantly surprised that it was a no charge! A nice short walk to places of attraction such as the Parliament house, royal palace etc. Try the food at The Dubliner, which is just less than 5 minutes walk down the same street. Very good food and service!

I stayed at the hotel for the third time this year and I have been satisfied each time. The check-in and check-out procedures are swift, breakfast is still tasty and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Perhaps you can install electric sockets or usb chargers closer to the beds for my next visit?

Basically too expensive for what you get. The room had a very small shower / wet room, which meant that when you take a shower everything gets wet : toilet, sink, floor, etc.; there were no hooks to hand towels or anything; there was no luggage table, so our two trolleys had to stay on the floor, considering how tiny the wardrobe is, we had to leave most of our stuff in the trolleys and knee down each time we needed something! Useless kitchenette as not furnished for our needs. All in all, despite the great location in town, we felt this hotel offere poor value for money.

We stayed in Hotel Panorama twice during our visit to Norway. Both times it was very pleasant experience with the staff, breakfast. The rooms are clean and well maintained. On our second visit, we were upgraded and the room with the view of harbor was excellent. Especially impressed with courtesy, friendliness and helpfulness of the front lobby staff. Will stay there again.

Good family room with a balcony ( no view though ), central and walking distance to the train station. Free Nespresso coffee and absolutely fantastic buffet breakfast. A bit pricey for the class of hotel that it is, but I guess it is Norway, everything is expensive. Btw, stay away from the taxis if you can, the most ridiculous rates anywhere in the world!!!
