A clean and friendly hotel close to Oslo's main street, Karl Johans gate (street). I think the hotel is easy to find and close to tram and bus. Just go off at Solli Plass, and the hotel is about a block down Cort Adlers gate (street). Friendly, helpful staff.
Very calm area only a few minutes walk from Akers Brygge 👍🏻😊. Nice Rooms and breakfast. They had good staff that was kind and happy. It seemed they enjoying to have us on visit. No problem with laugage room and safety boxes.
The hotel of laziness. Weekends breakfast open at 08:00 am!!!!. Hundred of people from the groups waiting at 07:50 am for the breakfast. 20' waiting for a coffee. It's a shame for a 4* hotel in a capital city... it's a shame wherever. Avoid this hotel if you want to enjoy your Holliday trip in Oslo. Waiters and restaurant manager do they best and are proactive and professionals the white necks of the manager and reception are not able to run this hotel. Only one waiter during the breakfast got 150 customers. Rooms are OK but minimun wardrobe
Very friendly place, close to the centre and to good restaurant if you do not want to reach e restrant just by walk.. Friendly and professinal people at the front desk. The help to solve problems. Daniele
Typical Sandic hotel close to the centre of Oslo.Rooms are quite small but oke.Shower and bathroom are sufficiently but not luxuries. Overall I was positive over the experience and I recommend this.Breaksfast is good but way to busy
I have been at many premium hotels around the world like Hilton, Mariott, Sofi Hotels etc. but must say that Scandic wins. Nice design without being posh, excellent food at reasonable price, flexible and friendly staff. The rooms are fresh, clean and quiet. Breakfast fits any taste and is sl good that you don't want to leave.
Spend two nights here while in Oslo on business. The location is on the western side of Oslo, with Aker Brygge/Tjuvholmen close by (About 5-10 min walk). The train/metro/tram station is also really close, so getting around is very easy. The room was nice and clean with a very comfortable double bed. The breakfast buffet provided above average good scrambled eggs and also provided some home made Norwegian liver paste which tasted great. The wifi was free and had great coverage all over the hotel.
This hotel is a good base from which to explore Oslo. It takes barely 10 mins to walk down to the harbour and it is only 5 mins from the Royal Palace. The number 12 tram stops outside. Rooms are large and airy. Beds comfortable and bathroom facilities ok. Breakfast is included and is a buffet with hot and cold dishes. Plenty of choice. Staff are very polite and helpful. I would be very happy to stay there again.
We stayed here for 3 nights, and found the room size to be adequate, though having a closed closet for an ironing board but few shelves for clothing seems to be from a bygone age. The bathroom was clearly not cleaned each day, and we had to return to the front desk--manned by only one person--for missing items like towels, tissues, etc. There was a small 'fridge in the room, but since it was not cold it served only as a bedside table. The breakfast buffet was a high point. There were the makings for muesli, as well as hot oatmeal, a good selection of hearty breads, cheese, and meats, as well as hot offerings. You could have regular coffee, or use the machine for lattes, etc. If you dine alone and forget something, you may come back to find the table cleared. The location is very good, close to the harbor with restaurants and other attractions, including the Nobel Peace Center.
We stayed 4 days in Scandic Solli Hotel in Oslo. This hotel is ideal for a family stay. Hotel stands in the city center, closed to Karl Yohan's and Aker Brygge with 3 min walk to tramway. Typical rich Norwegian breakfast is served daily, rooms are clean and newly refurnished. A very good Cost/Quality ratio. I do recommend!
