I'm a regular visitor for business and I thoroughly enjoy myself each trip. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They are like a second family to me and always make me feel very welcome. They're always willing to help.
Excellent spot to explore Oslo !! It's close to the Royal Palace, and right in the middle of all the things to see in the city. The Flybus stops at the hotel coming from the airport. When you stay here you even get a discount for that bus !
After years of renovation, result is quite good. Breakfast is somewhat better in the Radisson Plaza (by the station) so maybe some potential easy improvements. 21st floor roofbar is a must. It is probably the best hotel to stay in Oslo center just a walk away from transportation, the Palace, AkerBrygge etc...
This hotel was well advertised and that's why we decided to stay there since we trust the Radisson brand. However, the stay was not what someone who pays that much money can expect. - First, we have been received in the wrong room that didn't have the specific lay out we paid for. Therefore we had to go back down at reception to get a new key card for the new room, with all our luggage. - Secondly, the beds were not what you can call a good quality bed, the different layers composing the bed were moving to the sides and it was impossible to sleep correctly without waking up almost falling. - Also, the temperature was cold and when we reached out to reception to let them know, they said that there was central heating and that we could not make the temperature higher. - Regarding the cleaning: not existing, dust was present when we got in and it accumulated during our stay. The cleaner never cleaned anything. - The service overall was bad, we ordered food from outside and just requested to get a plate and cutlery and it was just refused. We had to eat with a spoon we found in the minibar!!! - The breakfast room was very noisy but it tasted good. - The sky bar was tiny and overcrowded with people not even staying at the hotel, as well as drunk people who could not stop kissing all the time. That was a bad experience at Radisson and as a member, I feel like I won't be booking with Radisson anytime again.
Stayed one night in connection to a work trip. The hotel public spaces (lobby etc.) seem as they have been refreshed recently, however the rooms are slightly worn. The room was clean (except of a huge greasy face plant on the window which I would have hoped house cleaning would have taken care of) and all seemed to be in a basic order. Room was not too big but enough for me. Bed also was good, and it was reasonably silent during the night. The breakfast was really good with a huge selection of good quality food, I felt bad I could not taste all I would have wanted to. Higher rooms have a nice view over Oslo, which I think is a big plus on this hotel.
Great re furbished hotel Location is excellent Staff especially in the summit bar are excellent Rooms are very good Menu and service in the bar in the lobby is ok but could be better, would like a better menu for dinner Lunch time Fish and Chips was excellent.
Radisson blu Scandinavia was a great place to stay to explore Oslo. Situated near the beautiful Royal Palace and park, it was a short walk to the main shopping areas of the centre, while benefitting from being in a quieter area. Great big comfortable room and lovely breakfast made this a great place to stay.
Being a big fan of the Radisson hotels, this was a huge disappointment The hotel is a sleeping factory. Lots of very small rooms, but nicely equipped. The capacity in common services is very limited. No tables in the restaurant. Could not even borrow an umbrella, as all was already out.
Hotel and staff were fantastic. I loved the place. Great dining options both in the hotel, and near. The souvenir shop was competitively priced. Hotel was also centrally located. Was able to walk to most of what I wanted to see.
Nice professional looking hotel. Good reception area and very friendly staff. I had a standard twin room which was spacious, had a nice easy chair to sit in, large bathroon with walk-in shower which was very nice indeed. Large TV etc. Both beds had a very soft mattress and a top thin layer. The beds were only 80cm wide. Whenever you moved the mattress fold around you. I turned over one time and the mattress flipped over so I fell out of bed. This continued to happen. I should have asked for a double bed... The pillows were synthetic and feather but both very very soft. When you pit your head down the pillow folded around it. I asked for a new pillow but it was no different. All in all 2 uncomfortable nights. The breakfast looked excellent, a large range of hot and hold food, different drinks, fresh fruit etc. The hot food however wasn't hot, it was all very cold which was a shame. However, the staff were all very friendly. All in all an ok hotel but with certainly room for improvement.
