We've stayed there for 3 nights and we were really happy with the room. It's getting pretty hot directly under the roof but they have a fan. The little kitchen has everything you need to have a small dinner. You are only a few minutes away from the metro station and a selection of supermarktes not too far from the hotel. The Staff ist friendly and very helpful. I would definitly recommend it for a city trip to Oslo :)
Had a very bad experience at this apartment, as they have no elevator. We had huge luggages and we were billeted on the 4th floor. Apartment was good, with one bedroom. Beds are comfortable. Pillows too flat. Kitchen amenities were complete except for the dishwashing liquid. There was a washing machine inside the bathroom. Location, metro station walking distance about 5 mins. 2 tram stops away from the main central train station.
We stayed for 4 nights and were very happy. It was wonderful to be able to get food from the local market and prepare in out room. The location was great and close to the subway and the bus. It was very conveniet to go around the city from there.
Stayed for 2 nights and was happy with stay, little walk to tube station or tram to central Oslo, garage near by and other shops for drinks etc also the botanical gardens are just around the corner and is a great walk
This was our first self-booked holiday and we'd booked this place partly because of the price and because it was near the city centre. It’s only about five stops on Oslo’s clean and efficient subway system and you get off at Toyen.Turn left into the main road and it’s a two minute walk from the station. An added bonus is you are only a five minute walk from the nearby Munch Museum which is well worth a visit. Check in was efficient rather than friendly but didn’t take long. The apartments are an add on to the Best Western hotel and it was a bit of a trek across a car park and past other apartments stinking of home cooking until we arrived at our apartment. In fairness the room itself was spotless and for some reason had a mini kitchen in it which suggests this is a place where people might live full time. The double bed was comfy, the bedsheets clean and if you are a amily there is a upper bunk reached by steps. The room is ensuite with a decent sized shower with plenty of hot water, clean towels, complimentary body wash and a loo. The TV has a range of channels in different languages. I was concerned that it might be noisy as you are in the middle of a residential area but we had a quiet night. We decided not to have the hotel breakfast as Best Western breakfast tend to be mediocre and food in Oslo is not cheap. There a number of cafes in the precinct across the road including a very nice bakery. You can leave your bags in a store room but be warned don't leave anything valuable as it is not a concierge service. ?/ are perfectly serviceable and there is nothing fundamentally wrong with them but I don’t think we’d go back
The Appartment was clean, tidy and equipped with almost all necessary stuff to cook your own meals, in order to safe some money in an expensive city like Oslo. Sometimes it is a bit noisy but I anyway always use ear plugs. The staff is very friendly and gave us some hints for sightseeing. The Apartments are well located to explore the city . Metro Station is in about 2 Minutes walk distance, in less than 10 Minutes you are at the National Theatre. From the central station take any eastbound train, exit at Toyen, from there it is about 2 Minutes walk. We would stay here again, when visiting Oslo.
The rooms had no exterior window, only a small one that opened on to the kitchen. The smoking area was right outside the door to the apartment so the kitchen often smelt of smoke. However, the price for a two-person private room close to the city centre was actually quite a good deal for Oslo. It was also super convenient to have a washing machine in each apartment.
This place is only a few stops from the centre of Oslo so its location is ok. Guests can also leave their luggage at the hotel when they have checked out - but us is at their own risk. What was most disappointing was that there was very little hot water in the shower in the morning and some of the surfaces in the bathroom were not clean. There were also two doors into the room and the inner door did not shut properly because it would stick on a protruding box on the wall. However, the price was cheap and if you like a very hard mattress this place was adequate for one night.
We got a really good offer on the room with great discount, and obviously got what we paid for. The first impression from the room is that it was dirty, smelly, and everything in the kitchen was greasy. Felt like coming into a cheap AirBnB where the host is a long time bachelor boy... The hotel looks nice from outside but everything within is totally different from what it looks like. It's a low class, low budget and unpleasant place. There are stains everywhere I look, on the sofa, the remote control, gables on the beds, floor, cabinets, mirrors and basically everywhere... I MEAN EVERYWHERE. Even that small terrace outside is so greasy and full of alligies that my white shoes got super dirty just by standing there for few minutes. Not to mention the cheap as energy lighting bolbs that I have only seen in a hotel within a 3rd world country, but here it's on every light!! Just to set the atmosphere in cold, and more unplesent environment.
My friend and I stayed in a twin room for one night. The room wasn't huge, but sufficient. It was clean, and the staff was generally friendly. The location is very good - it's only a few minutes walk from a metro station that all lines go pass. The kitchen was rather small with very basic facility. It didn't have microwave, oven or fry pan. You can pretty much only boil things.
