Good email communication from the host Electronic lock on the door had low batteries so it would only manually lock from the inside so when we went out to eat, we knew our door would be unlocked. The shower pressure was poor and the hot water ran out pretty quickly the bed was below average The room temperature was unsteady and poorly regulated The history and the artifacts were really cool, as was the ambiance of the old hotel. With a little more money, some attention to detail, and a bit of TLC this place could really be an amazing place to stay. I can see so much potential with this destination, but potential and reality are two very different things. Unfortunately, the bed, the shower, the room temperature, and the door lock canceled out any good history juju that we might’ve enjoyed. I know it’s an old hotel and I know it was priced decently, but batteries, hot water heaters, shower heads and better HVAC would’ve made this an all star review. This place is a treasure and I would just love to see it reach its full potential!
