This is the worst "four star" hotel I've ever stayed in. Agoda rated it as a four star but I think it's more like a two star. The bathroom was so mouldy, the shower curtain was covered in mould and also useless as preventing water from splashing out. The seal to the door was completely mouldy and the whole room/bathroom stunk of mouldy and sewage. We stayed here three nights and I wish I had cancelled it in my free cancellation window. I thought we would need to be near Shin Osaka to catch the special rapid service to Kyoto but that was not the case, we could have stayed near Osaka main station and been in Kyoto just as quickly. Shin Osaka is where the bullet trains come into and Osaka main has the subway and overground JR trains from Shin Osaka. There is also not much to do around the hotel, so take my advice and stay elsewhere. You'll enjoy Osaka much more!
The hotel is very near the Shin-Osaka Station, you can view the hotel from the train arriving at the station. It's a few minutes walk from the station and is conveniently located near station shops and restaurants. Room space was small but this was expected. Our family stayed in a double room, would have booked the twin room but since availability during our stay was scarce, I opted to book this room instead knowing very well that space could be an issue. I was surprised to find out that the bed wasn't as small as what I expected it to be! There's very little space to move around though but again, I kinda expected it to be so. Staff were nice and accommodating. Check-in and check-out was a breeze! Breakfast was fairly good and cheap (1000 yen for adults and 650 yen for children). Hotel was clean and bathroom amenities were Shiseido products. Too bad you couldn't bring them with you since they come in big bottles instead of the usual small travel size ones. Overall, great hotel to stay especially if you're traveling within Osaka.
The location is very convenient, only 3 minutes of walk away from Shin Osaka Station where is the hub of subway, train and high speed train. Staff was very friendly. The Chinese restaurant does have some good choices. The only thing I'm not very comfortable is the room size but thinking it is in Japan - really cannot complain too much.
If you are on a short stopover with an early train to catch, this Hotel is ideal as it's only a 2-3 mins walk to the Shin-Osaka Station. Although it looks dated, it has most of the things one would look for in a short stop: mainly, a comfortable bed, clean linens, and a small but functional toilet. That's what most would need, take not its no five stars, but it does its job: Location.
The hotel is very close to Shin-Osaka station. If you plan visit other city near Osaka, this is a good choice. Hotel price is not expensive even high season period. You can stay in this hotel and get a train to Nara, Kyoto and Kobe. If you plan to travel to Tokyo by Shinkansen, this is also very convenient too. Hotel is a bit old but still quite clean. Please be aware that there is no popular convenient store such as 7-11, Lawson, and Family Mart around this area. There is only local store opposite the hotel.
The hotel is closed to Shin Osaka station, so it is quite convenient if you plan to visit Kyoto or Nara. The room is quite small but clean. The room size is not a problem for me as I spent most of the time explore the city.
First thing that interest me for choosing this hotel was the easy access to shin osaka station and it really does. Less than 5 minutes walk to the station but it really suprised me upon entering the room and during night time as they didn't provide heater inside the room (reason: broken heater. But as I noticed the corridor, lifts and lobby was warm) + Less than 5 minutes walk to shin osaka station + Supermarket is just across the hotel + About 15 minutes walk to nightlife attraction area (pachinko, local bar) - Non English speaking staffs (had to communicate with gestures) - Just decent service - Lack of room amenities - Disturbing room smell perhaps because of humidity - No heater in room eventhough it's the beginning of winter - Dusty room especially under the bed - Room was poorly renovated and there's a lot of dents at the furnitures Since I'm going for a holiday trip, shin osaka station was a bad choice as the main attraction area is around osaka station which means I had to take a train to osaka station everyday to change into subway routes
Stay there for two night with my wife. As per others review, the room was a bit dated. but the room size is still considered quite reasonable. Around 5 minutes walking distance to the train station. The partition is a bit thin as we could hear people talking along the walk way. There is window but it like those Japanese type where you need to slide it open. (there another glass window behind the Japanese type window). Air-con cannot be adjusted The staff was pretty courtesy and even they may not speak fluent English but at least they tried to understand my need and try their best to make our stay enjoyable. Food wise, I did not have any meal with them so I am unable to comment on this. Amenities wise, it basic hotel stuff with WIFI, hair dryer, the usual soap, shampoo with Bathtub. (They are using a famous Japanese brands) for the shampoo and soap. Enjoy my stay with them and if I ever need to stay around shin-Osaka area, will definitely return back
Hotel is extremely close to Shin Osaka Station, less than 5 mins walk. Hotel is dated but with the price we paid for and the short walk from station, we are fine with that. Two 24 hrs convenient store nearby. Lots of eating places in Shin Osaka station. After exiting the JR "east" gates on the 3rd floor, go down to the 2nd floor "central exit" hotel is on ur 2 o'clock position. turn right and keep walking.
Rooms appear to be a bit dated but it was clean and comfortable and had an ensuite for the price we paid. Biggest plus was its proximity to Shin-Osaka Station ( bullet train stop ) ie about 5mins walk. You will need to take the subway to Osaka Station and the proper cbd though. Just 1 stop away. Hotel has a few restaurants but we did not try any of them as we normally ate elsewhere after a full day of roaming around Osaka.
